“Bennett was a wonderful cat-visitor. We gave him a bit of a challenge, trying to get our cat Tony to eat his medication. Bennett had to win Tony's trust first, and that took just a couple of days (note: the medication was not something that would cause serious side-effects if not delivered daily).Before long, Tony was following Bennett around the house and playing with an interactive cat toy with him, and allowing Bennett to pet him. Our second cat, Max, has always been a shy one. Bennett did see him a number of times, but was unable to interact with them. Bennett was definitely organized and timely! He sent photos daily, updated the "meds" situation, was a super litter scooper, etc. Both boys are looking great, no one missed any meals, for sure. We would hire Bennett again, any time we are out of town.”

About: I am a physically active recent retiree and capable dog lover who recently lost my beloved Wheaten Terrier after 11 great years with him, so I'm well able to care for your very active or senior dog that might have special dietary or physical needs. I'm recently retired and home every day, so I have lots of time to care for your pet. Drop-off and pick-up very flexible every day and evening. Although we have a securely fenced and paved back yard, it contains a swimming pool, so we kept our own pet indoors or on our fenced in, covered deck/patio which is also secure. We have a large dog crate which our dog slept in every night, but this is flexible depending on your own dog's sleeping preferences. I do not let pets sleep on my bed. We live on a very quiet street with no 'through' traffic, so it's easy to walk your dog regularly without risking encounters with other pets. Our own dog was not comfortable around other dogs and this was easy for us to manage.

If your dog prefers shorter strolls, we will take multiple brief walks instead. For playtime, we love playing tug-of-war on the deck or keep-away in our safely fenced backyard. My husband and I are active, retired empty nesters who love the companionship of pets. We walk frequently and enjoy having a fur baby join us on our adventures. When your pet stays with us, they become part of the family—we take them everywhere and never leave them home alone. If you have a preferred pet sling or carrier, please bring it along. If not, we can use ours, which is cleaned after each use. We have a large, fully fenced backyard with a clean deck and patio where I can play with your pup. About: I’ve owned pets all my life. I had a dearly loved dog that I saw through from puppyhood all the way to thirteen years old when she passed from cancer. I’ve had two cats since they were kittens, one of which had hyperthyroidism which required daily treatments. He has since passed away from kidney failure at seventeen. As a team with my sister, we personally trained our dog — and even the cats — using books to learn how to bond with the animals. I’ve not had a conventional job working with animals, but I am my friends’ go-to for pet sitting. I’ve done extended stay pet sitting (ten+ days) involving overnight care. I’ve handled daily medications for cats and dogs and worked on leash training for a friend’s dog as well as house training puppies. I currently live with an elderly cat and three freshwater aquariums. I’m available most days of the week and on weekends. I’m a freelance artist and my work is easy to time manage around. I always clean up after a pet and make sure they have easy access to water at all times. I know how to keep dogs inside a fenced area and keep inside cats from running out the door.
