We were nervous to leave our senior dog (who has some special needs) with a brand new person. Usually we book an initial one-night stay with a sitter before doing anything more than 24 hours. It turns out we had nothing to be worried about. Alina checked in with us regularly and had very accurate descriptions of how our dog Bedu was settling in. By the end of her stay Bedu was in love. We brought home a very happy pup who was so well looked after, I can happily say she also had a little vacation herself. Alina’s residence is right next door to Petco, which was very convenient for us as we had forgotten to pack some supplies and stopped there on the way.”

“This review is kinda late because it took me a little longer than expected to get settled back in post-vacation, but I'm finally able to sit down and get it done today! This might be a little lenghtly so don't say I didn't warned you. I have have a 7 month old kitten named Ooffies that I've had ever since he was 1 day old (he was abandoned by his mommy and needed lots of attention) so it's safe to say that I have a very close bond with him and he's my actual baby! We don't usually take trips because we hate leaving my pets behind (I have 2 dogs as well) but we made an exception this Thanksgiving only because we were able to bring our pups along on the trip, but we were still faced with a huge issue, how were we going to find a trustworthy person to watch Ooffies?! Well, we stumbled upon Samantha and to be honest it was the best thing we ever did! We were VERY skeptical at first because we never used Rover before, plus the thought of a stranger in our home just didn't sit well with us at all, but all of that changed when we finally met Samantha in person. Samantha is such a kind individual, she made us feel so comfortable and at ease about taking our trip and booking the pros of booking with rover. If you've ever met her in person, you can tell that she is a very genuine person! Ooffies isn't that socialized, but for some reason he was so comfortable with her from day 1, which made us feel very relieved. I can go on, and on, about how great Samantha is but I don't want to make this review longer than it already is. Long story short, Samantha did an excellent job at checking in with Ooffies everyday! She fed him his special dinner, and provided us with great pictures and a daily report card (which we looked forward to reading/viewing everyday of our trip) and the best part about booking with her was when we returned Ooffies was A MILLION TIMES more affectionate, which seriously shocked us because he's a very independent kitty, and doesn't like to be smothered at all, but when we returned he was like a little magnet! I have no idea what miracles took place while we were gone but hey, I'm not complaining! Overall, Samantha made a huge impact on our little home, and we were grateful to have her watch Ooffies while were were gone. We will most definitely be booking with her again, and I'm happy that we will be able to take more trips without feeling guilty about leaving our pets behind, because we know they will be in great hands with her, thank you so much Samantha!”

About: I have a dog named Nacho. He is a 13 year old chihuahua mix (my old man). He loves his walks and we never skip. We walk twice a day, I'll adjust times depending on how hot it is outside. I have a spacious yard for friends with pets to come play. We'll occasionally go to the dog park in the mornings or afternoons to socialize with other dogs. I have dog sat for friends/family (all different breeds & sizes!). We have lived with several different pets at a time so Nacho has no issue with other pups. He will play with small/medium size dogs closer to his size but generally will leave them alone. I have plenty of dog toys stocked up and snacks/treats (if you're ok with them). I love all animals and am very excited to meet yours! I am on my summer break from teaching at an elementary school which means plenty of free time to give your pet all the attention! While I understand all basic care instructions, I value if there are any special requests or concerns. Will definitely do my best to make sure your pet is in the safest and best care possible.

About: Growing up in Chicago I've had dogs/cats my whole entire life. Moving to LA made it unavailable for me to have my own anymore. I can exercise with dogs. I do runyan canyon atleast 3 times a week. I work from home and enjoy getting out every two hours for 30 minutes and having a lil buddy to hang out with during the day while I work. I broke both of my legs last year in a pair of motorcycle accidents so I really have a new appreciation for walking haha. I'd say your dog and I are doing each other favors. About: I have had cats and dogs and mice and fish my whole life, and have been many people's go-to consultant for care and advice, and for taking care of their pets when they're out of town. I am one of those people that folks say have "a way with animals". Always have, even when I was a toddler. I can administer medications and injections, help with puppy training, and bring your shy pet out of his or her shell. I rescued my own kitties when they were only a week old and syringe and bottle-fed them and reared them up to be sturdy upright feline citizens of the world. About: I’ve grown up and taken care of dogs my entire childhood. I grew up with a pure breed pitbull and taken care of Labs, German Shepard, and mixed breeds. I also live with two cats. I love animals and they all love me! I usually have time during the days or afternoons and evenings available outside of work to be able to pet sit or take them on walks or potty breaks. My schedule is fairly flexible. For boardings: I have a front yard & a back yard, however the front yard will only be used if your pet is leashed so as to not risk them getting out. The backyard is escape-proofed for even very small dogs, and your pet will never be left outside unsupervised. The backyard is big enough for playing fetch & potty breaks. I typically do not leave any animals alone in my home for more than a couple hours at a time, in case I need to run an errand. For sittings: I am very courteous as to keep your home in the condition that it was left in upon arrival. I will put items where I found them & treat your pets and your home with the same care & respect that I would give my own pets & home!
About: I have had dogs my whole life, which includes caring for horses. My beau calls me the dog whisperer. In addition, the pet care I will provide will be outstanding with lots of playtime, potty breaks, and walks. Dogs gravitate towards me and they will be well kept, fed, and any instructions from the owner will be followed with due diligence. Due to my flexible schedule, I have Monday-Friday availability for boarding (including on the weekends), dropping in, and walking. Thereby, once you book with me your furry friend will be the number one priority. My building is safe and secure, with an elevator and grass area in the back for plenty of potty breaks. Further, the area has plenty of parks, and the neighborhood is pet friendly.

“Alina was so wonderful. Our regular dogsitter had to cancel on us last minute. Alina came to the rescue and watched our dog for a 4 night stay. We were nervous to leave our senior dog (who has some special needs) with a brand new person. Usually we book an initial one-night stay with a sitter before doing anything more than 24 hours. It turns out we had nothing to be worried about. Alina checked in with us regularly and had very accurate descriptions of how our dog Bedu was settling in. By the end of her stay Bedu was in love. We brought home a very happy pup who was so well looked after, I can happily say she also had a little vacation herself. Alina’s residence is right next door to Petco, which was very convenient for us as we had forgotten to pack some supplies and stopped there on the way.”

About: I have had 3 years of experience pet sitting in New York City and recently moved to the LA area with my 4 year old mini goldendoodle! We are looking to take care of some new friends here on the West Coast. I also have 2 dog loving roommates that are excited to have more pups running around :) I am currently working from home so I have full availability. I am a dancer that trains in the evenings typically but I have 2 roommates so there is almost always someone home. About: I grew up raising animals (big and small) in Texas and when I moved to LA for work, I started to take care of animals for friends and colleagues. If I can give a pet owner peace of mind their fur baby will be taken care of, plus have the joy and being with that animal, that’s a win-win I work from home as a freelance creative and have plenty of time and energy to care for animals. It’s wonderful to care for them and help pet owners have peace of mind their fur babies are in good hands Every pet reacts differently to new people, and every home has their own routines and preferences. I’ve always found if you show respect to an animal and what they’re used to, you’ll bond with them and make them feel safe. I’m very used to every client having different needs, there’s no “one size fits all” approach. I live in the first floor of an apartment with a community yard and I have a patio with grass for quick potty breaks. I enjoy Long walks in my Valley Village neighborhood which is very safe, and I love walking dogs multiple times a day if needed
