About: I’ve been an animal lover since I was a little girl. I pet sit for family & friends, and i’ve decided to start taking care of other peoples pets because it’s something that I love and enjoy! I am a kitten foster, I work with a rescue and have taken care of 7+ newborn kittens that were going to be euthanized. About: I’ve grown up with animals and have also had my own Yorkie Terrier I cared for with much love. I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your animals anytime since it’s summer!! I’m free most weekends days except Thursdays and Sundays 8am-12pm. Some weekends depending!! I have a small front area they could go pee at when it’s late at night or even early in the mornings. About: Since 2009, I have had dogs... I absolutely love them (and really all animals)! I cared for my two dogs until their passing at approximately 9 years of age since they were puppies. While in graduate school, I volunteered at the Oakland Animal Shelter for a few months taking care of pigeons, such as feeding them and cleaning their cages. So, if you have some unusual animals- I am open to taking care of them too! I also had a 2 week experience cat sitting for my cousin's senior cat by feeding/giving her water and general watching her. So, I have good experience with taking care of cats too although I have never had a cat personally. At the moment, I have my senior dog, Mr. Beau, an 11 year American Staff Terrier I adopted in 2023 at the shelter. While I was at the Oakland Animal Shelter, staff made it known that senior animals are the most often overlooked animals for adoption and that made me feel sad :( So once I was able to, I made it a mission to adopt a senior pup, and I am so happy and fulfilled with my decision. As with any senior (including humans), they come with special needs, such as different medications, loss of hearing, limited walking, increase in illnesses, etc. My dog has had many complications, but with my great patience with senior pups, I feel confident in taking care of their specific needs! I know what it is like to trust strangers with taking care of your pet- its scary! Mr. Beau has specific senior needs and is picking, so I hope my experience can make you feel more comfortable with choosing me to take care of your pet when you're away! While I cannot provide pet sitting services at my own home because my dog is not friendly with other dogs (sad face), I am skilled in meeting with my where my clients are at. I love to ask questions about the pet's history, current physical state, quirks, boundaries, etc. so I don't cause unnecessary stress or issues. Depending on the pet's attitudes and boundaries, I am open to playing, walking, or just simply checking in on them. I want to try to make their environment as healthy and safe as possible, so for instance, if its too hot in the house, I'd like to verify with the owner is opening a window or using the air conditioner is okay.

About: I’ve been around animals since I was 6! I’m extremely comfortable around all kinds of pets, having previously owned dogs, cats, small rodents and snakes. I also used to work overnight at a dog daycare and am comfortable handling various breeds and all ages of dogs. I am also okay with senior pets since I have one myself! Due to that, I’m experienced with handling medicine and sticking to a routine. I’m used to oral and topical medication but am willing to learn any other sorts to take care of your loved one! I’m currently a student who creates her own work schedule so I will make sure to have all the time needed to take care of your pet! “Rover / Laura & Brian After a last minute rescheduling, we needed to find a trustworthy sitter for our fur-babies. However no family or friends were available on such short notice of only a few weeks, leaving us worried and cornered into venturing to find a stranger to watch the most important things we love… our quiet 10 yr old 12 lb Pomchi, and goofy 80 lb Boxer/Staffy. Having 2 pups that are so different, but so GOOD and SPECIAL makes it so hard to find someone that WE feel can understand and appreciate their precious personalities. After Laura & Brian we’re gracious enough to allow us to introduce the pups to them beforehand (On Dodger Day, no less!), we found our boys to not only be comfortable, but excited! Laura explained how they watch and protect the little one, while also being completely capable with handling my goofy Boxer. Brian came out and my boxer who can be protective, immediately realized he was safe. During our trip we received photos and videos of our boys having the best week vacation, with new fur-friends and human-family. Feeling confident with a family we had just met with our babies was just an absolute blessing. When we came back to pick our babies up, not only did they not want to immediately leave, but Bowzer showed signs of guarding his “new family”. 😭🤣😅 Being able to trust strangers, LAST MINUTE that are so sweet and attentive to our babies was such a blessing/lucky/whatever you want to say. My dogs are my life. While leaving them is never easy, Laura and Brian made it as easy as possible. I think that we can start feeling more confident when we need to have our babies watched, and we are so so thankful!!! 💜👾🙏🏼”
