About: I raised my 2 mini schnauzers from puppyhood through their twilight years and loved every second of it. We made many other dog friends along the way, including the occasional sleepover. I work remotely from home, so it’s easy for me to adapt to whatever schedule your dog is used to! I travel for 2-3 weeks in the year around (but typically not during) holidays. My apartment complex is gated with great walking areas for the community’s many pets. A public park is just next door with hiking trails for higher energy pups. About: Hi there — I go by Lio (she/her)! I grew up with a Jack Russell and later lived with a Cavalier King Charles puppy, then a reactive rescue Brittany Spaniel for 3 years before moving to LA. I’ve been hands-on with everything from potty training to reading canine body language, and I’m very comfortable adapting to each dog’s personality. I’ve also lived with a British Longhair cat for 3 years, so I’m used to caring for both dogs and cats in the same household. Most of the animals around me growing up were rescues, often with a bit of sensitivity, so I naturally developed a calm, patient approach. I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs — from shy or reactive to high-energy breeds (herding, hunting and hounds). I’ve also dogsat for a year through Pawshake and currently volunteer at the Pasadena Humane Society. I'm especially experienced in sensitive and reactive pups. I've cared for rescues and street dogs, and will make sure I show them love while respecting their boundaries! I currently work from home during weekdays, and will have most of the day to pamper and play with your pet. I am available all weekend for overnights. Giving space, making sure I give out respect, patience and care. The most important aspect for me is to be attuned to them. Understanding their language, making sure they are comfortable 100% of the time. Regular potty breaks, grooming if needed, and a stress-free environment.

In 2017 I met my first friendly street cat which sent me on a journey from “strict dog person” to “cat lady.” I have since adopted two cats, Bean and Raisin, and fostered more than a dozen adult cats and kittens. I also work closely with an organization doing TNR in my community--trapping neighborhood cats and spay/neutering them. I have a 2nd bedroom that I use as both my office and cat zone with toys if your cat needs his/her own space but am also a friendly home for a rambunctious cat. Bean is very passive and chill, while Raisin just wants to make friends and play. I’m a trusted cat mom and foster mom and will cuddle your fur babies just like you would if you were home with them! I know how important it is to a pet parent's peace of mind while away from their animal to know how they're doing so I always make sure I send pictures and regular updates. Please note that due to my cats, I only board other cats in my home—no dogs. And I only board one client at a time. Rover doesn't give the opportunity to specify this. I can do drop ins for other animals in your home no problem! I work from home and can occasionally have period of hiatus from work with lots of free time to dedicate to doing drop ins and being there for any boarding guests. I am very strict about indoors only for cats given my history with TNR. Also because I'm an experienced trapper, if somehow your cat escapes my care, I have the skills and equipment and knowledge to get them back for you. I don't leave boarding guests alone with my cats without supervision, even when sleeping, unless enough time has passed that I can trust them all together.

She took absolutely exceptional care of my super senior Indy, handling tummy upset, medications, and even coordinating with a friend who picked up Indy for an impromptu vet visit while I was out of town. She also took exceptional care of Tato, who has a traumatic background and is still figuring out to be a dog and how to be social with other dogs. Tato blossomed under her care, cuddling with another dog for the first time during a nap and playing with other pups in her yard. She TRULY cares for dogs like they are her own, takes the cutest and most amazing pictures, and provides regular updates on their activities and care. About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was about 10. I grew up in the country, so being around animals and helping take care of them was just a normal part of growing up. I’ve always loved dogs and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that’s going for walks, playing, or just hanging out and giving them lots of attention. I have my own little pup now, who is very much my baby, so I completely understand how important it is to feel comfortable with the person you’re leaving your dog with. I’ll treat your pup like I’d want someone to treat mine—with lots of love, attention, playtime, and cuddles. About: I’ve always been around dogs and genuinely love caring for animals. I’m attentive, responsible, and understand how important routine and schedules are when caring for pets. I also have a very friendly, playful labradoodle who loves making new friends and would be excited to have some company during stays and playtime. I work from home full time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily and weekly routine. My flexible work schedule setup also allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship during their stay I do my best to maintain their usual routine to help them feel comfortable while their owners are away.
