I have done dog sitting for various breeds including chihuahuas, corgis, german shepherds, aussies, poodles, etc. so I know how different their energy levels can be but can handle it all! Depending on what you are comfortable with, your dogs stay will include trips to the dog park, long walks around the neighborhood, playing with my own doggo, and of course being showered with love. I have my own Australian Shepherd who loves meeting new friends! Both of us would love to get the chance to spend some time with your doggo! I currently don't have any dogs living with me but prior to July 2025 I had my own fur babies since 1992. “This was our first time using Rover for pet sitting services and we were very pleased. Paula had relevant experience for one of our cats who needs medication, which was key in our selection of her as a sitter (FIP diagnosis and treatment). She organized her schedule to meet with us via video ahead of time, which we always appreciate, and she also came to our home for an in person walk-through of the house and security system. At the beginning of the sit, our cat who needed medication proved to be quite the little Houdini as far as hiding and avoiding her dose. Paula made us aware of the situation and between us, a helping hand from a friend, and a few FaceTime conversations (on Christmas Eve no less!), we were able to locate and medicate the little devil. We then came up with a new plan to avoid issues, but I really applaud Paula’s cool head and flexibility as it was definitely a challenge. Paula also communicated every day, and included pictures and videos of the kitty kids so I knew they were happy and well-fed. Our little trouble maker kitten also managed to cut her foot which Paula spotted and treated immediately. Paula was very reliable during the sit, including staying a bit later when our flight time changed, and when we arrived, everything was tidy and the other cats were clearly relaxed and happy. If I need a drop-in sitter again, I will definitely rebook her.”
About: I began dog sitting a couple of years ago for the families I babysat for. When they would go out of town I would bring my furry friends home with me. I’ve always enjoyed taking them to the nearby parks and beaches around me. When they stay with me they are taken care for and treated like family. I work full time but I’m free on the weekends and occasionally on Fridays. My availability is mainly on the weekends since I am home. When I bring them home with me I like to have their bed and food set up in my living room. I have a back yard where they can hang out as well. I like to keep them in their routine and walk them frequently so they’re not inside all day. I try to do the same even if they stay in their home. I will check in as often as I can and will take them on longer walks when they stay in their home since I am not there the whole day as I would be in my own home.

About: Last year we said goodbye to our thirty pound poodle mix after 17 amazing years. Our kids, ages 15, 12, 9, and 5 have had a dog in the home all their lives and while we aren't ready to get a new dog just yet we would love to take care of yours! My husband Liam, always had dogs in his family’s house growing up. We have a spacious home and fenced back yard in a quiet Hawthorne neighborhood close to LAX. It’s easy for us to let the dogs out back throughout the day and to go for frequent walks around the block. We used Rover for our own dog so we know how great it feels to know that your pup is being taken care of like family while you are away. Poodles, poodle mixes, and smaller dogs are preferred but there’s always exceptions. My husband Liam, and I both work from home so there's always an adult around to make sure the dogs are taking care of. We live in a quiet neighborhood that's easy to take the dogs on walks. And with our backyard we can let the dogs out for frequent bathroom breaks if needed. We have a completely fenced in back yard that our dog loved in his time here. Our older children are at school or activities for most of the day so the dogs will generally have the run of the house.

About: I’ve taken care of my family dogs but my sister friend wanted us to dog sit at our house while they went away and she fell in love with us and so did we ! they had moved her with a different owner and when they would check in on her they saw she was scared and alone in the garage with no food then she reached out to us and we took her in and in less than a month she was a whole new dog she would love to cuddle with us in the bed she would let others pet her and she loves to play with other dogs her size only haha. I am working at my job from 8-5pm Monday - Friday. I will be available to working after work and on the weekends to help take and walk dogs. I have two fenced gate to keep my dog inside and safe. We park our cars inside so we are able to put our dogs in safely when we entered.
