“This was my first time using Rover and I am so happy that it was Brooke! Brooke visited my cat twice a day to feed her and keep her company over the July 4 holiday weekend. I would not hesitate to ask her again! Here are the reasons. 1) Brooke was very professional even before the stay. She came out to meet my cat twice before I left. She initially came to my house, and then when my a/c died, I moved my cat to my brother's house, and Brooke came there too, to learn my cat's routine, get a key, etc. 2) Brooke was very responsive, and kept me updated - letting me know when she was visiting my cat, sending photos, etc. 3) Brooke was very conscientious about my brother's house (where my cat stayed). I left out enough clean bowls that she could have used a new food bowl every day, but she washed up the bowls after feeding my cat (it's wet food, so the bowls get crusty). She also scooped the litter box and took those bags to the outdoor trash so they weren't in the house for days. 4) My cat was happy to see me, but not desperate - if that makes sense. It was clear that she had been cared for. Thank you again, Brooke!”
About: I grew up with cats! I come from a line of cat lovers so I’ve always been comfortable with and prefer cats in some ways! I have a cat of my own who I rescued from the side of a busy freeway about a year and a half ago. My cat got diagnosed with FIC last September which causes him to have very painful bladder flare ups. I had to adjust to a new and delicate routine with him so I fully understand how sensitive cats can be! He requires prescription diet as well as medicine. A lot of people say cats are easier because they’re less maintenance which I totally disagree on! Cats may prefer less attention at times but they certainly need and deserve just as much care as any other pet!

They let me swing by their place first so I could see it before I committed. These folks are 100% cat people and their place is all about the felines! Nice cats live there too but I thought mine would do best in their own private space. The private suite had lots of soft places for them to nap, a window, and climbing surfaces. Bennie & Jennie asked good questions and were genuinely interested to know the temperaments and needs of my kitties, and anything they could do to make them (or me) feel safe and happy during the stay. I got updates the night I dropped off my cats and through the next day, along with photos and videos. They even collected everything I brought, put my cats in their carriers, and brought everything down to me upon checkout. Great service, Bennie & Jennie! About: I’ve had a drive to care for animals my entire life! I grew up with dogs and mostly cats and would dog-sitting for family members anytime they needed! I’ve always known that I wanted to work with animals when I grew up but veterinary care would make me too sad as it physically pains me to see sad and hurt animals:( I also have a history with horses and competing! I spent a summer(2023) in Louisiana volunteering at a barn where retired racehorses would get sent to rehab, retrain, and eventually rehome! I would spend all day helping rehab the horses! I worked at PetSmart both in the store as a PetCare Specialist and in the Grooming Salon as a Professional Bather! During my time there I realized how much I love making pets and their parents happy and a little more healthier! I loved talking with pet parents and educating them while also hearing about their furry babies! Nothing made me happier than seeing one of my clients walking in - tail wagging! I have a dog and a cat of my own! My dog is a mini Australian Shepherd whom I have trained myself! He loves to do agility training! I also groom him myself! I rescued my cat from the side of a freeway when he was a little kitten. He’s had some medical issues regarding his bladder so I’m well rounded with cat care and administering medicine! My cat is now my little Velcro kitty who always wants to be involved in what I’m doing! I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs- big and small! While I normally don’t have a preference between the two, I am currently pregnant with my first so I’m only really able to physically handle small/medium dogs for the time being. As a pet mom myself, pet care is a daily routine for me! I am a stay at home wife (soon to be mom) and spend most of my days spoiling my dog and cat! I’m new to the area so I don’t really have much that gets me out of the house and I absolutely love being around animals so I figured why not try to fill my time by helping other pet parents out who may not have as much time on their hands as I do! During my time working in the PetSmart grooming salon, I became very used to nervous and anxious dogs as grooming time can be very stressful for pets! I’d say I’m pretty good at recognizing anxious behavior and doing my best at making pups more comfortable! I also understand how nerve wracking it can be to trust someone with your pet - especially someone new! I have had an experience in the past that left me traumatized when it comes to leaving my pets in someone else’s care. So I too understand that overwhelming need to check in on your baby and make sure everything is going well! About: I previously had a pet rabbit, however due to my dad’s allergies we were unable to have any dogs. However, whenever friends needed someone to walk/dog sit/ board their dog, we would take the dogs at my mums house. Mango went through serious health challenges two years ago when he was 5-month old, and I personally managed his treatment at home for 84 days, followed by months of close care. He is now strong, active, and very healthy. I’ve also handled emergency situations and know how to act quickly when something isn’t right. Through all of this, I’ve become very comfortable with medications, health monitoring, and understanding different pet personalities. I’m patient, observant, and detail-oriented, but also calm and reliable in stressful situations. I’m flexible, communicative, and I genuinely care. Your pet won’t just be looked after, they’ll be understood, respected, and cared for like one of my own. I work part-time and have a pretty flexible schedule, so I’m able to spend a good amount of time caring for fur babies throughout the day!
