“This was our very first time leaving Bear with anyone for any amount of time; whether minutes, hours, much less days. And we needed to leave him for 3 nights! We knew this was going to be a BIG DEAL for him AND US. We were so stressed and anxious because we knew Bear will be wondering what is happening, why is his owners leaving him with someone else, etc. We searched and searched on Rover. We went to several meet & greets (M&G). Bear already knew something was up coz he was howling his head off every time we were in the car heading to another M&G. We got referred by another Rover sitter to Rommel since she also had left her dogs with him. Our M&G with Rommel was great. He was very confident & comfortable handing Bear for the very first time and they proceeded to go for a walk. We decided to go with Rommel. I had to give Rommel detailed instructions since Bear is an EPI dog and needs to take his meds. In addition to his other quirks. During Bear's stay with him, Rommel sent videos every day and a note on how Bear is doing. We were so relieved and happy that Bear was doing well. Litter boxes, food areas, water bowls, surfaces, and shared items are cleaned regularly. My EMT background has made me detail-oriented, calm, and observant, which helps me notice when something seems off and communicate clearly with owners. Boarding cats will remain indoors in a secure environment. For drop-in visits, I’m happy to follow your cat’s normal routine if they have a fully enclosed, secure catio at home. Catio time must be discussed ahead of time and will only be provided if it is safe, enclosed, and owner-approved. 💬 Communication You can expect clear communication, thoughtful questions, and regular photo updates. I have a pet stroller and pet carriers to use as needed. For boarding your dog child, I take my dog on walks throughout the day and once before bedtime, and I will take your dog as well. They are allowed on the sofa and I have multiple dog beds throughout the home. I currently work remotely so I will can give your dog child all the attention it needs while they adjust. I will treat your dog child like I do my own. Typically, I walk my dog throughout the day and once before bedtime to make sure they don’t feel any discomfort. I tailor my care for your pup, so if your pup loves to sleep I will happily give them the time and space to. If your dog loves walking then I make sure to take them on walks. I have pet carriers, a pet stroller, and dog car seats in my car to use as needed. I will send you photos throughout the day or as often as you request. I take their safety very seriously. If I sense any discomfort, I immediately try to address it in the most appropriate way, whether it be cuddles or space to decompress. I will never take your dog to the dog park and I will closely monitor any interactions with dogs during walks (if you have any concerns please let me know). I always leave water out for them and make sure they are fed according to their food schedule. I will attach an Apple ID tag to them for GPS. For dog boarding, since I have a small 12 lb chihuahua poodle mix, I kindly request meeting in a nearby park first so we can check that the pups will get along before taking them to my home. “This was our very first time leaving Bear with anyone for any amount of time; whether minutes, hours, much less days. And we needed to leave him for 3 nights! We knew this was going to be a BIG DEAL for him AND US. We were so stressed and anxious because we knew Bear will be wondering what is happening, why is his owners leaving him with someone else, etc. We searched and searched on Rover. We went to several meet & greets (M&G). Bear already knew something was up coz he was howling his head off every time we were in the car heading to another M&G. We got referred by another Rover sitter to Rommel since she also had left her dogs with him. Our M&G with Rommel was great. He was very confident & comfortable handing Bear for the very first time and they proceeded to go for a walk. We decided to go with Rommel. I had to give Rommel detailed instructions since Bear is an EPI dog and needs to take his meds. In addition to his other quirks. During Bear's stay with him, Rommel sent videos every day and a note on how Bear is doing. We were so relieved and happy that Bear was doing well. I have volunteered at the Dane County Humane Society as an Adoption Counselor while in college, so I have undergone behavior training for many aspects of dog care.
