About: I've grown up with cats my whole life and cared for my own until I lost her about a year ago. I miss having a cat around and would love the chance to care for yours. I’m very comfortable with daily feedings, litter box care, playtime, and spending the time to earn a cat’s trust. My cat’s favorite place to be scratched was right under the chin, and I became pretty skilled at finding that exact sweet spot. That said, I know every cat is different. I’m happy to learn what makes yours happiest, and I always move at their pace. I have experience with very shy cats and know how to remain a calm presence until they feel comfortable enough to approach me.

Hoohoo was so well cared for, and reading her daily update notes genuinely made my day every time. She’s thoughtful, observant, and clearly experienced with cats. She also went above and beyond what I expected: she helped brush Hoohoo’s fur, tidied up the living room, and took absolutely fantastic photos (I’m literally using them as my phone wallpaper!). About: Having raised my own puppy and dogsat for friends with anxious pups, I'm well versed in how to provide for a pup's full time needs. I can also provide puppy training in house manners (for example: waiting patiently to be fed, waiting at doors, simple commands). My care and attention to my own puppy, Chef, is full time and I am super excited to share that with your pup. We can go on excursions or hang around the house or play fetch at the dogpark. Whatever your pup is up for. I have a fenced yard and a friendly pup for your pup(s) to play with! And if your pup doesn't want company for whatever reason, I have gates and crates to make sure they are safe and happy in their own space. “Pouneh is wonderful! From the beginning, she responded to my messages right away. We did an initial meet and greet at the local park. Nana immediately took to her and her daughters! I knew Nana would be happy and in good hands. Drop off and pick ups: I need to do an early drop off and it’s been super smooth. It’s easy to park in front and get Nana out safely and since we arranged that I send my ETA, Pouneh was already waiting outside ready to take her. Picking her up was also super easy. I texted ETA and she had everything ready with Nana. Again, parking was easy and available in front. Pouneh is very experienced and patient with dogs. She also has extra supplies like bowls, blankets, towels, leashes, etc., making it easier with less things to lug around. Nana looked so relaxed and happy when I picked her up that first day and each day since. I am happy to recommend Pouneh to anyone for doggie care and I will for sure rebook whenever I need an extra hand. Lastly, props to Rover as well. This is a great service and I don’t know what I’d do without it. I’ve always found great people here with sometimes short notice.”

“Toffee was cared extremely well by Yiteng and his wife during the full-day daycare period. This is the first time our dog Toffee went to a completely new place and be cared by a "total stranger", which made Toffee super stressed and hard to do her routine normally. But thanks to the loving cares Toffee received, Yiteng's wife made Toffee feeling like at home and getting comfortable in the new place very quickly. We received many update messages and videos/pictures during the day to see how Toffee was doing and also knowing that Toffee got full attention from the sitter. Another factor we liked the service the most is the nice outdoor environment where Toffee could walk around and do her potty break, which was similar to Toffee's regular routine that she used to while at home. This made it so much easier for Toffee to get acclimated quickly. We required specific feeding routine for Toffee starting with the soft food we made (need to be refrigerated) followed by the hard food. Yiteng's wife is so accommodating on all of our requests, never say NO to any of our suggestions. I am truly grateful for the super loving care Toffee got and I strongly recommend the service from Yiteng's family. I am definitely planning to book this service again.”
About: Your pup will be enjoying a spacious home with the accompaniment of a hot dog! We are able to sit for other animals as well: hamsters, rabbits, reptiles, even fish. We have a fenced yard in the back as well as comfortable carpeting for your pup to scratch its ears. We welcome pets on weekends or when you go on vacation! Rest assured that your pet is in good hands! I need 5 more words... About my yard Backyard is made of concrete, I've specially built a doggy potty area for pups to use.

Rex is a sensitive boy with separation anxiety, so we’re always a little nervous leaving him with someone new. But throughout his stay, we felt like he was in really good hands. Pamela sent us photo updates, which we absolutely loved, and it was so reassuring to see Rex having a good time. She was also incredibly flexible and accommodating, which we really appreciated. When we picked Rex up, he was calm, happy, and not stressed at all. We’ve already booked several more stays with Pamela and are so glad we found someone we feel comfortable leaving Rex with. About: I trained my Pomeranian puppy myself and he’s now almost 9. I’ve assisted with all of my friends’ dog training and love being around all dogs. I am currently transitioning out of my full-time tech role after my startup got acquired and am looking to take time off. I have a lot of flexibility. I have a yard, am next to Laurelwood park, and a very walkable neighborhood. We have toys and crates in the home for small dogs.
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and caring for them has always been second nature. I grew up with a dog and a duck, and have continuously lived in homes with cats and dogs through college and graduate school, so I’m very comfortable with their routines and behavior. I’ve also cared for pets for friends and family over the years, including feeding, walking, cleaning, and making sure they feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. I understand the importance of consistency, attention, and keeping pets on their normal schedule. I also have three tortoises of my own, including one I’ve had for nearly 23 years, which has made me especially attentive to routines, environment, and long-term care. I am currently volunteering at the Kitten Nursery with the Peninsula Humane Society, where I help taking care of kittens too young for adoption. I have a very flexible schedule through freelance consulting work, which allows me to be available for pet care most days of the week, including weekdays and weekends. I can accommodate a variety of schedules, whether it’s regular visits or last-minute needs. The only consistent commitment I have is volunteering on Monday afternoons at the Peninsula Humane Society, but outside of that, I’m highly flexible and able to adjust to your pet’s routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, litter box or cleanup routines, exercise, and any specific preferences your pet is used to. I take a calm and patient approach, especially with shy or more independent pets, and make sure they feel comfortable in their own space. I also keep the home clean and organized, and treat it with the same respect I would my own. I’m attentive to any changes in behavior or health and will communicate updates regularly so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.

“Sunday has been through a lot of difficult changes recently—a move, the loss of her doggy best friend and just normal growing up. Sunday is a sweet girl but can be high energy, anxious and a little mischievous. Megan and Jenny handled Sunday like absolute pros. Sunday was entertained with walks and lots of play time in their sweet house/yard. Jenny + Megan are responsible, reliant, and absolutely in love with their dog friends, not to mention flexible and easy-going—they treated Sunday like their own and I feel so thankful to have found such loving people to look after my girl.
