About: I trained my Pomeranian puppy myself and he’s now almost 9. I’ve assisted with all of my friends’ dog training and love being around all dogs. I am currently transitioning out of my full-time tech role after my startup got acquired and am looking to take time off. I have a lot of flexibility. I have a yard, am next to Laurelwood park, and a very walkable neighborhood. We have toys and crates in the home for small dogs.

About: I’ve owned pets all my life. I had a dearly loved dog that I saw through from puppyhood all the way to thirteen years old when she passed from cancer. I’ve had two cats since they were kittens, one of which had hyperthyroidism which required daily treatments. He has since passed away from kidney failure at seventeen. As a team with my sister, we personally trained our dog — and even the cats — using books to learn how to bond with the animals. I’ve not had a conventional job working with animals, but I am my friends’ go-to for pet sitting. I’ve done extended stay pet sitting (ten+ days) involving overnight care. I’ve handled daily medications for cats and dogs and worked on leash training for a friend’s dog as well as house training puppies. They took great care of our pup Kiwi, who can be anxious and slow to warm up to people, and they understood that Kiwi needs to go at her own pace. Upon handoff, they immediately took her for a quick walk around the block which helped ease the transition, and by that evening, Kiwi was comfortable and asking for pets. Katie and Jason are quick to respond and kept us updated with both many adorable photos and brief recaps of walks or fun things that happened in the home. They accommodated our late pickup time with no fuss and had everything prepared: the bowls were washed and dried, and the blanket was folded. Highly recommend these two! “Rachael and her partner were nothing short of amazing with our dog Indy. Indy was instantly relaxed when he arrived for the night at Rachael’s, and had a lovely evening of cuddles and play with Rachael and her “crew”. Her dog and kitty were equally as welcoming to Indy! The picture updates were amazing and unexpected, and I could tell Indy was incredibly comfortable for his overnight stay. 10/10 recommend Rachael, and we will absolutely be booking with her again!”

Our home is located only 4–5 minutes from the SFO airport which makes drop-off and pick-up super convenient for travelers. We also know that life can be unpredictable, whether it’s a delayed flight, traffic, or last-minute changes, we’re flexible and always do our best to adjust accordingly. My sister has been a professional dog sitter for years, but she’ll be taking a few months off for an upcoming foot surgery and recovery. I recently moved in to help her, and caring for dogs is now my full-time job.
