About: Last year I said goodbye to my 17 year-old dog Max, just a few months after my cat Scotty passed away suddenly from kidney disease. Thankfully, Scotty's sister Star is still with me and thriving, but I really miss being around and caring for other animals. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs and the gentle care they require. I'm also very familiar with younger dogs of all sizes. And I've fostered a lot of cats - mainly kittens - which is how Star and Scotty originally came into my life. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet - whether it be walks, drop-ins, boarding or pet-sitting. I work part-time, teaching improv and also teach at an academy for gifted and neurodivergent homeschool students. The classes are short and nearby (and are not every day) so I'm never gone for more than 2-4 hours. Which leaves me plenty of time to spend with your pet! I'm available for home visits, walks throughout the day, boarding, and/or pet sitting any day of the week. I live in a residential neighborhood in the Somerset section of Glendale, perfect for walks. I’m usually working from home on my laptop so I am able to attend to your dog at all times. I have a large fenced yard and a senior Cavalier who is great with every pet. I can walk your dog once or twice a day and they will never be left unattended.

In 2017 I met my first friendly street cat which sent me on a journey from “strict dog person” to “cat lady.” I have since adopted two cats, Bean and Raisin, and fostered more than a dozen adult cats and kittens. I also work closely with an organization doing TNR in my community--trapping neighborhood cats and spay/neutering them. I have a 2nd bedroom that I use as both my office and cat zone with toys if your cat needs his/her own space but am also a friendly home for a rambunctious cat. Bean is very passive and chill, while Raisin just wants to make friends and play. I’m a trusted cat mom and foster mom and will cuddle your fur babies just like you would if you were home with them! I know how important it is to a pet parent's peace of mind while away from their animal to know how they're doing so I always make sure I send pictures and regular updates. Please note that due to my cats, I only board other cats in my home—no dogs. And I only board one client at a time. Rover doesn't give the opportunity to specify this. I can do drop ins for other animals in your home no problem! I work from home and can occasionally have period of hiatus from work with lots of free time to dedicate to doing drop ins and being there for any boarding guests. I am very strict about indoors only for cats given my history with TNR. Also because I'm an experienced trapper, if somehow your cat escapes my care, I have the skills and equipment and knowledge to get them back for you. I don't leave boarding guests alone with my cats without supervision, even when sleeping, unless enough time has passed that I can trust them all together.

I’m a 30y/o Los Angeles pet dad, looking for a nice side gig as well as a way to Connect & edify myself with pet-care & social skills going to forward. Primarily with the animals, yet as well built communicative skills with individuals. -Cheers, André. ✌🏽 Currently I am self-employed. Be that as it may, I have quite the open/flexible schedule. Adherence to any fitted schedule isn’t necessary. Unless communicated prior, scheduling shouldn’t ever be an issue of concern. I’ve been surrounded by, and lived with and have familial pets all throughout my life, but I’ve only recently become a pet father myself as of eight months ago. Actions I take in my home to cater to, and care for my pets include the following: -Thorough research on how to continue to better myself as a parent towards my pets. -Patience becoming more and more a virtue 😅 ha. -Repetition -Understanding Acts of discipline, or constructive experiences to better the bond between myself and my pets, are dismal. Redirection, and communication with the pets consistently build the bond. Consistent, and I mean consistent playtime, proper feeding schedule, toys…I’ve built quite the furniture shop for my cats. Lastly just love them, damn. 😁
About: I’ve been fortunate to grow up with animals most of my life and lucky enough to continue having little fur companions in the home through roommates. I’m proud to say I’m my friend’s go to for pet sitting (+ house sitting) while they’re away in long trips as I love to play, cuddle, and take care of their little ones as if they were my own. I enjoy taking my family’s dogs for long walks whenever I visit and cuddling with the cat if she’s gracious enough to give me attention. I’d love to meet your pet and thanks in advance! 💗 I have availability from 12 pm-1 pm and after 6 pm with open availability on the weekends though my schedule will vary on a weekly basis and can be pretty flexible! I have experienced the joy of taking care of dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, fish, you name it. If I could have a farm filled with all sorts of cutie pies, I would. I might prefer them over people most of the time ;) These days, I have a lot of time on my hands, yes, the wide open calendar is real, so if you are in my zone and need last minute help taking care of your loved ones (prefer a minimum of 1 day notice, but could help out in case of an emergency), please reach out. I am open to boarding and daycare at my home if that is your preference, but my personal policy is to get to know your pet via drop-ins, walks, or housesitting before I am able to approve said services. I am open to dogs and cats of all ages and needs, but if your pet is a large dog, my requirement is that they are reasonably leash trained so I can ensure safe care for all parties. “Athene was so great with my new rescue dog Coco. We just adopted her a few months ago and are still getting to know her but had a camping trip planned and couldn't take her on any of the hikes so we needed boarding. Athene lives right in the neighborhood and we set up a meet & greet. Coco was immediately at ease in her space, even with lots of dogs barking behind another door. Athene's temperament is very soothing and confident and the dogs respond to her well. Coco spent 2 nights with her and we got regular updates via photos & videos. Coco apparently demonstrated some resource guarding behavior which Athene handled like a champ by feeding her separately. She let me know about everything as soon as I picked up Coco, which was really helpful as we're still getting to know her ourselves so every little bit of information we can get about her personality & habits helps. Overall, I felt Athene was a super capable boarder and will absolutely use her again!”
