We had our two fully-grown Labrador Retrievers stay with her for more than two weeks when we went on vacation, and I think our babies really miss her, her dog Cannoli, her house and the other dogs she was dog-sitting at the time. “We have a 2 year old, dog reactive, Great Pyrenees mix. Given her large size and energy level, it can be challenging to find someone we feel is competent in handling our Stella. We had a meet and greet with Alicia and it went very well. Alicia had a very calm and confident demeanor. Stella warmed up to her very quickly. Alicia runs a structured boarding daycare where dogs need to be potty and crate trained. This type of structure is good for dogs that need their own space or even young dogs that need to learn to turn on and off. Alicia sent me updates and pictures throughout the day which was very reassuring. Drop off and pickup times were very flexible which is perfect for my crazy work schedule. Stella was very calm and relaxed when I picked her up. She came home and took a nap right away, so I know she was mentally and physically exhausted from the day. Overall, we highly recommend Alicia and will definitely be back for doggy daycare and overnight boarding.”

About: I've had Lucky, a small Chihuahua, for 14+ years. I've helped taken care of Benji (3yo Pomeranian) since he was 6 months old, Tommy (5+yo Pom / Chihuahua mix) since 2016, and Dexter (In Training Service Dog) for the past 2 years. About: For most of my High School education I had watched The Dog Whisperer religiously, which helped to ingrain my love for animals especially towards canines. I slowly began to pursue fields in which I could help surround myself with animals and careers pertaining to animals. I started after high school and became a volunteer at the San Jose Animal Care Services located on Monterey Rd. in San José. I was working on the side while going to school as I volunteered to help compensate the volunteer hours. As a designated dog walker I was introduced to small toy dogs down to 4 pounds up to larger breeds ranging upwards of 100 pounds. About: I have taken care of dogs of a variety of sizes. I have two big dogs at home (goofy golden retriever and a reactive but loving German Shepard mix). I occasionally dog sit for my friends and family friends. I have done check ins as well as house stays. I currently work part time, but I typically am free in the evenings. About: Growing up I had so many different types of pets, which in the long run gave me many years of pet care experience. I love animals and I enjoy taking care of them. I currently go to school at Evergreen Valley College as a part time student durning the week in the mornings. But weekends my schedule is usually clear. About: My passion for dogs started when I was a young girl with our family’s dog — a beautiful golden retriever named “Bear” — and continued throughout my life. Passion turned professional when I started with Rover 8 years ago. As with any consummate pro, I continue to expand my skill set. To that end, I am currently taking a course in canine massage therapy at the Holistic Animals Studies School. I’m fitness trainer and I love the outdoors which means whilst your dog is in my care he/she will enjoy plenty of excercise via long walks around my neighborhood and frequent games of fetch in my spacious back yard. More adventurous dogs enjoy swims in my pool or runs on the beach (with owner approval, of course). Senior dog or those with special need are welcome to hang out on the couch and watch TV or sunbathe on my pool deck :) While you are away you will receive frequent updates and pictures of your dog.
