Usually my neighbors will feed my cats while I’m on trips, but one of my cats crossed the rainbow bridge recently, and it gave me such peace of mind that Meru was not alone and had ample sweet and caring company with Yuhong and her husband. Meru had never been away from our home so she (and I) was nervous at first, but warmed up to Yuhong quickly. Yuhong played with Meru twice a day to keep her spirits up. “Ana and Mitchell were incredibly caring with Sophie. I needed a last-minute sitter for Sophie, who isn’t used to being home alone yet at 5 months, and they were amazing. What I love about them is that someone is always home and they only take one dog at a time. They were quick to schedule a meet-and-greet and were very welcoming. Sophie got to meet their dog, Ellie, and they got along instantly. Ana and Mitchell were flexible, accommodating, and asked thoughtful questions to make sure Sophie’s needs were met. We set up a short doggy date for a couple of hours, and it went perfectly- Sophie didn’t even notice we had left! Since leaving Sophie is new for us, we appreciated the frequent updates and their respect for her schedule. She came home happy and content, and it was clear she had a great time. About: I grew up with a Great Dane who I cared for from childhood until she passed, and she’s the reason I’ve loved pets my whole life. Since then, I’ve helped take care of family and friends’ dogs of all sizes. Today I have an 11-year-old chihuahua (Camila) who is healthy, loved, and very used to having little pups around and a 5-year-old Weimaraner (Lolo) who was literally ‘trained’ by Camila to be gentle and respectful with small dogs. We also have a 16-month-old baby who has learned to be calm, gentle, and loving with pets. Your pup will be in a loving, kind, safe, and experienced home. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I’m able to give consistent attention and supervision to your pup throughout the day. My son is in daycare during daytime hours, so the home stays calm, quiet, and perfect for small dogs. I have a fenced backyard and a fenced front yard where dogs can safely explore under my supervision. I only care for a small number of pups at a time to keep the environment calm and safe. My two pups are gentle, respectful of small breeds, and all interactions are always supervised. I can also separate or crate dogs if needed to match their routine.

My favorite part of pet sitting – whether it's drop in visits, house sitting, or dog walking – is getting to develop meaningful relationships with the animals I care for. I don't have much experience with training puppies, but I do have experience with dogs and cats at all stages of life. I'm comfortable with administering medications, fluids, cleaning up messes that happen! I've also had experience caring for and walking dogs who are unable to be around other dogs. I've rarely met an animal I didn't like, or who didn't like me – I think they know that I genuinely love to be around and spend time with them! I work full time but mostly from home (I only go into the office once a week). This gives me a lot of flexibility for taking pets out on walks, playing with them, and giving them lots of love and attention! My approach really depends on each animal, home, and situation! Each animal is different and has different needs – some need to be walked at less crowded times if they have social or behavioral issues, some need to be guarded with constant vigilance if going for walks (because of coyotes!), etc. I will always prioritize the animal's safety! (And take lots and lots of photos and videos of them, which I will send unless you.)

About: My husband and I had 4 dogs and many cats for over 15 years. Our baby Pomeranian was fifteen and passed away 2 months ago. I also rescue cats. I am home most of the time and can give your fur baby the attention they need. My time is very free. Weekday and weekends are ok for or me to take care of pets. Just let me know a couple hours beforehand. I live in a one level condo. I will take care of the pets at my house. We can take a walk in our pretty community. That's what I can provide.

About: Lived in a multi-dog household for over 15 years providing care to pups of all ages (newborn puppies to seniors). Experienced in puppy care, senior care, medication administration, and rescue pups needing a little extra attention as they're getting adjusted to their new furrever homes. Although I don't personally provide training, I've had experience in going through training for our own pups and can support in maintaining the training that you have already in place. Guests are provided with care full-time. I'm available throughout the week and are generally flexible with pick up and drop off times. Though there may be some slight adjustments to the our daily routine, a general idea of our schedule for boarding consists of.. 6:30am potty break and playtime 7am breakfast and continued playtime 8:30am lounge/nap time Potty breaks every 3-4 hours 12:00pm -2:00pm Afternoon playtime some time during this time frame if the weather permits 5:30pm-7:00pm dinner around this time frame Evening play until 7:30pm-8pm 11:00pm for a final potty break We live in a fenced home that is double gated with a large spacious backyard. Guests are only allowed outside when there is human supervision. Guests are welcome to wrestle and play chase; however, if we do see there is an escalation in energy levels then we do a quick reset and separate guests for several minutes before returning to a lower energy of play behavior.

“My husband and I booked a pet friendly hotel in Pasadena and planned on going to the 626 night market last weekend. At the time of booking, we didn't realize pets weren't allowed to be left unattended at the hotel at any time. Desperate to figure out where to leave my 10 month old pup Emma for a couple of hours, I learned about Rover and (around 9:30pm) began to message everyone and anyone I could in hopes of finding a last minute pet sitter. Angelica was quick to respond and very eager to help me with my situation. Upon dropping my pup off, her personality was very welcoming and her sons also looked very excited to spend time with my Emma. “Athene is wonderful! Our pup Mia stayed with her for just over a week while we visited family on the east coast. She made sure Mia felt at home and settled and is very mindful of how all the dogs interact with each other. We were able to set up several visits before our trip to meet the other dogs she would be staying with which made the drop-off and transition much easier for our timid dog. Athene is great about giving updates while you’re away and makes sure each dog is happy, safe, and healthy. When we brought Mia home she was completely exhausted from a full week of fun and play.
