Most dogs love nature, and it's exciting to see them perk up on walks at the sound of chirping birds, rustling brush, or a skittering lizard. There are great dog-friendly nature paths in Novato and San Rafael that give the pups both sniffing and social opportunities, so they come home tired and content. What I’m especially good at is communication. I pay close attention to a dog’s eyes, ears, posture, and energy, because they tell you so much before they ever make a sound. I use a gentle “dog voice” (yes, the sweet baby-talk voice) and clear, steady cues, because many dogs respond quickly to warmth, tone, and consistency. Even anxious or shy dogs usually soften when they realize they’re being understood. I’ve also cared for large dogs, and my Labrador retriever loves having big buddies to play with. Outside of that, I’m usually home and available, so I’m still able to give a lot of attention and one-on-one care! I split my time between San Francisco and Petaluma on our family farm. About: I bond quickly with animals and I make sure to properly introduce myself so they don’t feel intimidated in their own home. To them I want to be a friend rather than someone who is just there I live across from a park where walking/playing with your dogs is fun and easy! I like to go outside for at least 30 minutes a day to get some fresh air and exercise. I am up early, making it easy to get dogs their first bathroom break in the morning. I have a short commute, so that means less time they have to be alone! I will stick to any schedules that they may have that way they feel a little bit more comfortable without their parents around. If anyone is feeling extra shy, I’ll slowly introduce myself until they are comfortable.

About: I have over ten years experience pet sitting and housesitting for multiple species, including dogs, cats, and reptiles. I have a strong passion for animals of anll kinds and I find it an honor to care for other people’s. Having a rescue dog of my own at one point in my life, and volunteering at a therapeutic equestrian center has helped me learn how to gain an animal’s trust in a short amount of time, even the most wary. I also offer basic organizing and cleaning services in addition during a housesitting job. I have worked independently with trainers for my own dogs and helped to train my current service dog. I am currently a part-time student at Santa Rosa junior college and have a very flexible schedule. My only time restrictions are class on Monday and Wednesday from around 1pm to 5pm and work part time as a respite caregiver on Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm to 5pm. So I have availabilities for drop in’s every day but less Mon.-Thu.. My Housesitting can be booked any time, as long as I can be away for somewhere between 4-8 hours when I’m going to class or work. I have my own vehicle, which has a seatbelt with a carabiner hook for any type of harness. This enables me to take them to any necessary vet appointments, go on trips to the park or the beach, or evacuate safely if there were any kind of natural disaster. I also have multiple size crates that I can bring if your animal would feel safer in those. No matter what, I will make sure your pet is kept safe, healthy, and happy in their own home.

During house sits, I can spend substantial time at home with your pets rather than leaving them alone for a full workday. I’m able to maintain their usual feeding, walking, play, and bedtime routines while providing plenty of calm companionship throughout the day. Because some of my work involves filming or occasional local outings, I’ll always discuss your pet’s needs and how long they can comfortably be left alone before confirming a booking. Longer stays are especially welcome. I care for pets in their own home, where they can remain in the environment and routine they already know. Before a stay, I carefully review feeding instructions, walking routes, house rules, emergency contacts, veterinary information, medications or health concerns, and anything that may make your pet anxious or uncomfortable. When I arrive, I immediately check on the animals, their food and water, litter boxes or yard needs, and spend time helping them feel comfortable before I settle in myself. I keep doors, gates, leashes, and household access secure, follow your instructions closely, and never introduce new foods, activities, animals, or visitors without permission. I send regular photos, videos, and updates, and I will contact you promptly if I notice any change in behavior, appetite, energy, digestion, or the condition of your home. I’m calm in unexpected situations, proactive about finding solutions, and respectful of your privacy and belongings. I also leave homes clean, orderly, and ready for a comfortable return.

About: I’ve cared for dogs in a wide range of situations, including senior dogs, special-needs pups, and dogs recovering from injuries. Most dogs love nature, and it's exciting to see them perk up on walks at the sound of chirping birds, rustling brush, or a skittering lizard. There are great dog-friendly nature paths in Novato and San Rafael that give the pups both sniffing and social opportunities, so they come home tired and content. What I’m especially good at is communication. I pay close attention to a dog’s eyes, ears, posture, and energy, because they tell you so much before they ever make a sound. I use a gentle “dog voice” (yes, the sweet baby-talk voice) and clear, steady cues, because many dogs respond quickly to warmth, tone, and consistency. Even anxious or shy dogs usually soften when they realize they’re being understood. I’ve also cared for large dogs, and my Labrador retriever loves having big buddies to play with. No matter the size, age, or temperament, I’m respectful of each dog’s individual needs, and I make sure they feel safe, seen, and truly cared for with plenty of affection, attention, patience, and exercise. I currently work from home, and I have a (mostly) flexible schedule. I like to get out with my dog two times a day for 2+ mile walks on local trails and parks. I respect people's spaces, and I am good at following detailed instructions for homes and their pets. I have references and happy clients to tell you about it!

About: I have cared for a wide variety of animals over the years. I spent several years volunteering at a veterinary clinic and later at a humane society, where I gained hands-on experience in animal care, handling, and support. I telework so I am at home most of the day. When I do leave, dogs hang out in the dog run where they have access to comfy beds, toys and access to an upstairs patio where they can keep an eye on all the goings-on. I have a fully fenced yard that provides a safe, secure space for dogs to run, play, or relax comfortably. I provide supervised playtime in the yard several times a day and at least one 20-30 minute walk around the neighborhood.

About: I grew up in a house full of animals and pets and have grown to understand and love them fully and I hope to spread that love towards other animals! I can come take care of pets almost every day! I am a working Christian girl so Sundays I have church for an hour, and I just recently started a new job so far my hours are 10am-7pm Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays! I’m available afternoons on Thursdays and I’m available weekends! I believe that pets require an immense amount of attention and affection and I will always create a trusting bond with the pet owners and answer any questions the owners may have!
