About: My husband and I love dogs.... when our beloved Yorkie died a few years ago and we retired early from city government, we decided to focus our love on caring for other people's dogs in their homes. We now have several on-going sit relationships in central California and are happy to have so many dogs in our lives that feel like grand babies to us! If you're interested in establishing an on-going relationship with us, to make your dog(s) feel as comfortable as possible when you have to leave town, hit us up! Our preference is to work with 1 or 2 older/more relaxed dogs, that can be left alone for at least 4 hours at a time. We lean towards being home bodies, but we enjoy going on walks/outtings, having play time and lots of snuggles. “My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. He came home completely grounded. I was able to enjoy my time away so much more because he clearly enjoyed his time with Madhumita. Thanks for your attentiveness to a sensitive dog, Mita!”

About: I raised by dog from one month old and trained him his whole life! I grew up around dogs my whole life and love them. Animals mean so much to me and I love caring for them. I work two days a week on Wednesday 12-4 and Thursday 2-4:30. I also have school five days a week. Monday 8-2, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8-12 and Thursday 8-12. About: Growing up, I had a golden retriever named Daisy. Daisy is was from an organization I worked with called NorCal Golden Rescue. We fostered her for a couple of weeks but fell in love with her undeniable love and decided to adopt her. NorCal Golden Rescue mainly rescues golden retrievers who have been neglected and abandoned from the streets of Taiwan and bring them to the San Francisco Bay Area where they are paired with a fur-ever home. I have with dogs of all ages and temperaments from young lively puppies to old mellow senior citizen doggos. About: I have cared for dogs, cats, fish, and other animals all my life! I rescue animals when I can, have fostered, bottle fed, treated injuries, given injections and medications to many animals. Animals are my comfort zone- just being around them is my joy! I can do short walks, herding dog games, feed, or provide overnight care. I especially love herding and other working breed dogs, and typically get along with even difficult animals (feral cats for example!) I would love to meet you and your pets! I am a recently retired high school teacher sill working part time at UCSC, so am available most days to care for your pets. I have 2 dogs and 2 kitties at home, bit can easily help out pet parents who need extra walks, play time, or vacation care! My pets are my family (fur babies!) i will care for your pets like my own! I can care for your pets in your home- the least stressful for them! Or take them to a park, hikes, or a leisurely walk. In your home I will make sure to keep everything tidy, and treat your pets as my family- lots of snuggles and playtime!

About: I have loved animals my entire life. Throughout college and high school, I worked as a dog walker for Wag and a kennel attendant at the local vet. I currently work on boats and do this in the off-season or when things are slow. I love spending time with animals and will treat your baby like one of my own, with lots of walks, cuddles, and attention. About: I have taken care of pets for quite some time. I grew up on a farm, so I have been around all sorts of animals all my life. I recently moved back here to the valley from Santa Cruz. Will be here for a year or so. When I was in Santa Cruz I volunteer for the animal shelter there. I recently moved here from Santa Cruz, and will be starting work at the school in the fall, so I am looking to do some pet sitting, and dog walking, during the summer. “My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. He came home completely grounded. I was able to enjoy my time away so much more because he clearly enjoyed his time with Madhumita. Thanks for your attentiveness to a sensitive dog, Mita!”

Between my 2 dogs, one is very elderly (17 years old) and one has severe anxiety. Kathleen took excellent care of both of them and was communicative along the way with photos and daily updates.
