“Harper took absolutely the best care of our dog, Milo. She kept us updated about Milo's daily schedule and activities, making sure that he is getting enough exercises throughout the day, and treated him like her own pet during the 4-day boarding. I would recommend Harper to anyone who is looking for a loving sitter who can take great care of their fur baby!”

“Siu Kei (Alex) was amazing, took great care of our Nikita and Milo. We had a great experience from the start. We appreciated pictures of our furry babies looking happy and relaxed. We will book again for our next trip in the next 2 months. Highly recommended. Thank you Alex”

“Very good with communication. Nina was very happy and had a great time hanging with Robert. He sent pix during her stay and Nina hung out with new friends. Thanks!”
About: I have been providing home-style dog boarding and pet care since 2017, with over 9 years of hands-on experience. I also worked for two years at a professional dog boarding and daycare facility in San Francisco and have experience in animal rescue. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and personalities, especially puppies, senior dogs, rescue dogs, and dogs with anxiety or special needs. What sets me apart is my small, home-based care approach. I only accept 1–2 dogs at a time, which allows me to provide full attention, a calm environment, and truly personalized care for each dog. I am patient and attentive, and I adjust my care based on each dog’s personality to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I stay at home most of the time and have a flexible schedule, so caring for pets is a natural part of my daily life. I take dogs out for walks, feed them, and spend time with them every day. I only accept a small number of dogs so I can give each pet plenty of attention and care. Home-style care in Castro Valley. Only 1–2 dogs at a time, never more than a small pack — so every visitor gets personal attention and a calm, consistent routine. Quiet indoor spaces to nap, multiple walks outside each day, and free meet-and-greets before any stay. I've been caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and more since 2018 and specialize in small and medium dogs under 45 lb.

“We have worked with Lea multiple times, and I cannot say enough good things about her! She is patient and Abby (our dog) loves her. Lea is incredibly attentive to your dog and treats them like they’re family. We can not thank her enough!!”
“Robin and Dan are very warm, caring and obvious dog lovers. They took Nora in with open arms and were very accommodating when it comes to her quirks. They sent many updates, photos and videos. I could tell Nora felt instantly at home with them and knew she would be well taken care of. Robin and I had thorough conversations before her stay on Nora’s specific needs and traits which mad me feel at ease. Nora was very happy and content when we picked her up and didn’t seem to want to leave! We would love for Robin and Dan to take care of Nora in the future”

“Izzy came highly recommended by several friends who regularly trust him with their pups, and now I completely understand why. This was my dog Arthur’s first time staying with anyone aside from family, so I was a bit nervous at first. Izzy quickly put me at ease by letting me know Arthur was settling in nicely and getting along well with the whole family. The photos and videos Izzy sent showed just how happy and comfortable Arthur was, and the regular, detailed updates made it easy to relax knowing he was in such good hands. Thank you for making Arthur’s first experience with a sitter such a positive one!”

“Fuji was so well taken care of during his very first boarding with April, Josh, and Boba! Josh was excellent in his response time to my questions, drop off and pick up was quick and easy, and video updates (loved them) were fantastic to receive! And it was so wonderful to see Fuji walking off their cozy bed (which hints to me that he was allowed to sleep on the bed - a big plus since he sleeps with me in my bed!). Thank you so much, you guys are absolutely fabulous! The house is very clean too, and very open setting which allows the goldens to play as much as they want inside. Fuji is exhausted, and I think wondering where Boba is. Next time for sure! I will book with them again. THANK YOU!”

“They were great; attentive, flexible, and kind They made sure to send daily updates that included lots of pictures and videos. We are happy we found them to watch our standard poodle.”

“My first time using this service for my rescue dog, Isa. Teresa and Regan made it smooth and straightforward. My little dog came back home happy and relaxed, a huge relief. #Grateful”

“Adrienne and Edgar are awesome!! They were super responsive during our initial communications and sent plenty of photos of our Lula to reassure us that she was fitting in well in their home. Highly recommend booking with them!”

“Astrid took wonderful care of our senior pup. She was very responsive, sent lots of photos and he came home happy and not stressed. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for an experience sitter and those with senior dogs.”

“Ellie had an amazing time with Natallia. She took notes of all my instructions and paid extra attention to things that Ellie is a little bit shy of doing or eating. I definitely would trust Natallia to take care of my dog again!”

“Olivia was amazing! We received updates and photos daily during Milano’s stay. Her home had a great setup with plenty of outdoor space in the yard for the dogs. She is very experienced with working with dogs. We would love to rebook with her next time!”

“Lia did an incredible job taking care of my 2 cats. She was great at communicating and providing updates/pictures on how my cats were doing. I felt comfortable leaving them in her care during my short vacation.”

“Kimberly was great with our cat (Hank). She sent us photos and updates in a timely manner, and let us know exactly how both Hank and the house were doing while we were away. We’ll definitely book Kimberly again in the future.”

About: Despite never owning a cat myself, I have cat sat for friends and briefly cared for some 4-5 week old abandoned kittens I found. I'm well versed on basic cat care and willing to learn for special needs like meds and dietary restrictions. I have a hobby photography background, so expect photo updates of your fur babies!

About: I’ve had cats for about 7 years and have always loved caring for them. I’ve also rescued several kittens and helped find them good homes. One of the reasons I’m majoring in Veterinary Assisting is because I’ve seen how cats are often overlooked, and I want to help give them the care they deserve. I’ll treat your cat like my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away

“Supriya took amazing care of my senior cat. My cat is very shy and does not let anyone pet her. However, she took a liking to Supriya right away and was happy to get head scratches & pets, and even purred! Supriya really has a wonderful way with cats. I appreciate the patient, kind and gentle way she cared for my cat. Cannot recommend her enough.”

“This is my first time being away from my kitten and I was a little bit nervous... but Ashu provide me with pictures of him and it calmed me down to know that he was being well taken care of. I will be booking with Ashu again.”

“Kevin was great. We had him cat sit for us while we were on vacation. Our cat warmed up to him immediately and they became fast friends. He was very helpful and diligent in cleaning the litter box. Would recommend him again!”

About: My first love was cats and with 30 years of personal cat experience, you can trust your cat is in good hands with me. I know every cat has their own unique personality and traits and I love discovering them! I believe a purr a day keeps the doctor (or vet) away. I have experience administering medications (insulin). I know the importance of keeping a clean litter box and will never say no to the occasional hairball clean-up!

“Krystle was amazing with our cat! She helped with all the things I asked for and went above and beyond and helped with other things like ant invasion when we were away. She was extremely patient and sweet with our cat that was hiding under the couch during her visits. She was able to get our cat to play with her after couple of days, thanks to Krystle’s gentle approach. I was comfortable being away and knew that my cat was being treated well and taken care of. I 100% recommend Krystle! She’s truly the best. I’ll definitely reach out to her if I need a sitter again.”

“Katsiaryna is the absolute best! She is so reliable and always provides the best updates and pictures. Not to mention my anxious cat adores her and always looks so happy in the pictures. I’’m so lucky to have found her!!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for cats and currently own two of my own. I forgot to turn on the notification and Siu Kei kept me updated with messages to make sure the address and the habits of my cat before my cat went onboard. After I sent my cat onboard , Siu Kei updated me the photos of my cat as I required and I really wanted to know how my cat was doing. Siu Kei is caring and reliable. “She was incredibly patient and caring with my puppy. Since he hasn’t completed all of his vaccinations yet, she was able to accommodate him by only watching one dog at a time, which gave me great peace of mind. She regularly sent me photos and updates, so I always knew how he was doing. She also helped with his potty training and was very attentive to his needs. I could tell she genuinely cared about him and treated him like her own. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and responsible dog sitter! I will definitely rebook her if needed in the future! Thanks Yan!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life caring for many different breeds and personalities. Most recently I had a Rhodesian Ridgeback but have also had Labradors and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in the past. I work from home and am only gone for a 1-3 hours during the day. My wife works from home and will be with the dog to keep them company. I have 2 kids aged 2 and 4 who are home after 5:30pm and all day on the weekend I have a fenced in yard with grass and plenty of room for the dog to roam. Dogs are allowed on our couch and bed as well.
“Tatiana walked my dog three times while staying at her house and gave her good exercises. She let my dog playing at the park and hanging out with her ground children. I’m sure that my dog had a good time. She also took good care of her by checking her food, trying to feed her until she got enough. She is a good walker and caregiver as well. I’m happy and comfortable to leave my dog with her.”

“The boys completed their first daycare visit; all went well and they seemed to have enjoyed themselves. Also, appreciated the good communication between Owner and Sitter. We'll be back for another visit soon :)”

“Harper - thank you so much for hosting Alonzo these last two days! I know when he was so excited to see you on the second day that you took such good care of him and he had a great time! I really appreciate you looking after him so well and all of the pictures and videos you sent me throughout the day. We will for sure come back to you any time we’re in San Jose and I’ll recommend you to anyone here! Thanks again!!! Mikah and Alonzo”

About: I have experiences with Senior care and basic training for puppies. I watch their body languages carefully to know when to pause a play and what they need from me :) Leia and I usually go for a walk in the morning, around 5 in the afternoon and quick bathroom break before going to bed. I work from home most of the time so id love to help to care for another dog so they’re not depressed alone at home whole the parents are off to earn money for their their pawbills 😝 I help to care for friends dogs when they need and I feed them together but separately so they don’t get food aggressive. I also monitor toys so it doesn’t create fights. Because I have Leia, I know the struggle and guilt feelings when you have vacation planned and need to leave the pup. I try my best to give lots of updates and pics so the humans can enjoy their time away as well.
“Cindy was so communicative and responsive! Kobe loved going to daycare with her and it was a relief to leave him in good hands on such a short notice. He comes back home tired and happy.”

“We’re so happy we found Pamela! From our very first interaction, we had such a good feeling about her. Rex is a sensitive boy with separation anxiety, so we’re always a little nervous leaving him with someone new. But throughout his stay, we felt like he was in really good hands. Pamela sent us photo updates, which we absolutely loved, and it was so reassuring to see Rex having a good time. She was also incredibly flexible and accommodating, which we really appreciated. When we picked Rex up, he was calm, happy, and not stressed at all. We’ve already booked several more stays with Pamela and are so glad we found someone we feel comfortable leaving Rex with. Highly recommend!! You’ll love her… but please don’t steal all of Rex’s future bookings! Haha 😂”

Safety is my top priority, so I always use secure leashes during walks, keep doors and gates closed, and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations.
“was wonderful with my dog! He can be shy and anxious, but she was patient and caring, and he warmed up quickly. I got regular updates and came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup. Highly recommend!”

About: Dogs have been part of my life for almost as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs, and my parents bred and showed Dobermans, so I was surrounded from an early age by thoughtful, consistent dog care and training. With only a few gaps during college and early adulthood, I've had a dog by my side throughout my entire life. I'm currently a dog owner myself, and my dog is very much part of my everyday life. That's also how I approach boarding. Rather than caring for a large group of dogs, I prefer to host one guest at a time so they can settle into our household and receive plenty of individual attention, companionship, walks, play, and affection. I'm home much of the day, so a visiting dog isn't routinely left alone for long stretches. I believe dogs respond best to patience, consistency, clear boundaries, positive interaction, and lots of affection. I also know every dog has its own personality, habits, and comfort level, so I want to learn what makes your dog feel safe and at home. My goal is simple: while you're away, your dog gets to live as a beloved member of the household rather than feeling like they're being sent away to boarding. I work primarily from home, and my own dog is already my near-constant companion, so caring for another dog fits very naturally into my daily life. When I board a dog, my intention is for them to join our household and our routine rather than spend long stretches of the day alone. That means plenty of companionship, regular walks and outdoor time, play, relaxation, and, when it's appropriate for the individual dog, coming along with us on dog-friendly outings. I take my own dog with me frequently and am happy to do the same with a guest who enjoys it. Most importantly, I adjust the routine to the dog. Some dogs love being out and about; others are happiest relaxing somewhere familiar and quiet. During their stay, I pay attention to what makes them comfortable and adapt accordingly. I want each dog in my care to feel safe, included, and genuinely at home while their family is away. Safety starts with making sure a dog is a good fit for our home. Before a first stay, I prefer to meet with you and your dog and introduce them to my dog so we can make sure everyone is comfortable together. I strive to understand your dog's normal routine, personality, feeding and walking schedule, house rules, medications or special needs, and anything that makes them anxious, excited, or especially happy. I follow your instructions and try to keep familiar routines consistent while adapting to what I observe during the stay. I host only one guest dog at a time, which allows me to give them plenty of individual attention and closely monitor how they're settling in. I use leashes and secure handling outdoors, keep food and other potential sources of conflict managed carefully, and never assume that two dogs who get along well don't still need thoughtful supervision. Most importantly, I pay attention. Dogs communicate constantly through their behavior, and I want to notice when a guest is relaxed, uncomfortable, tired, excited, or needs something different. My goal is to provide a safe, calm home where your dog can become part of the family while they're in my care.
“Duke came home tired and that tells me he had nothing but a good time! He was with 5 other friends and though unfortunately Duke was barking alot, Siu was patient and kind to him. He sent me photos and updates and even helped us give him his antibiotics. Overall, very pleasant experience, highly recommended! This was also a last minute request and accommodated us without any issues”

“Natalia is a great care giver to my dog. She walked my dog for a long time which my dog loved and enjoyed accompanying to my dog. I’ll ask her again. I would appreciate more pics if I could ask. Overall, she is great.”

My goal is to give pet parents complete peace of mind knowing their furry family member is receiving experienced, attentive, and compassionate care. Pet care has always been a natural part of my life, both personally and professionally. “Our dog Mochi as well as our family love Huei Sin! She has been so responsive, flexible and loving. We love seeing our walk updates with photos and special messages. We look forward to seeing Huei Sin every week. Thank you!”

About: I’m one of those people who spots a dog and instantly wants to go play/pet it. I have a 2 year old super mutt pittie mix. I learned a lot about training and handling dogs through her. I’m great at being consistent with training, for example when my friends are training their dog I make sure to reinforce the rules to their expectations. So please just let me know what you’re working on and I’ll make sure to keep up the training when I interact with the dog. As long as I have a list of what the dog needs I can make it happen and show lots of love. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages and breeds. However, if a dog is easily agitated by other dogs I would need to know so I can have a plan for that. I will make sure to give your dog enough exercise, I love playing fetch and tug a war. I will do home visits to play with your pet or go to feed them. I can do this with cats too! I am off for the summer and have a pretty open calendar! So if you need a weekend just ask if I’m available. I love meeting new fur friends :)
About: I have taken care of my dog on my own for ten years now. She was adopted from a rescue animal shelter as a three month old. I have cared for her patiently as a scared puppy to now being a senior. I am a responsible, kind and loving dog carer. I have experience babysitting, walking, bathing, playing, brushing teeth, vet visits and more. I do not currently have any commitments and I'm able to care for pets as needed. My schedule is open and available at anytime, weekday or weekend. I am open and flexible to caring for pets as they are cared for by the owner. Making the pet feel comfortable by maintaining their routines works great for me.

About: I’ve spent three years caring for dogs through walking and sitting, providing safe, loving, reliable support tailored to each pup’s personality, routine, and comfort needs. With lots of free time in my daily routine, I’m able to focus fully on each dog I care for, providing steady attention, enrichment, and a peaceful, supervised environment. I provide a safe, reliable home where dogs can relax and feel supported. With frequent potty breaks, daily walks, and attentive supervision, your pup stays comfortable, happy, and well‑monitored.
“Kim was extremely nice to our pets and did a great job with the dog walk. Her Rover card included a detailed description of their walk and the photos were appreciated. 10/10!”

About: I have experience taking care of dogs because I grew up with them. Being around dogs has always felt natural to me, so I understand the basics of feeding them, walking them, playing with them, keeping them comfortable, and paying attention to what they need. I’m gentle, patient, and attentive, but I’m also playful, so I enjoy making sure dogs are not just cared for, but actually happy and engaged. I know every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, so I would always respect the owner’s instructions and take time to understand what works best for their dog. I’m currently in college and home for the summer, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I’m available for walks, playtime, drop-ins, and consistent care throughout the week. I’m happy to work with your dog’s routine and make scheduling easy for you. I care for pets by keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. In a client’s home, I would follow their instructions carefully, whether that includes feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication, or general house rules. I want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. For walks or visits, I would stay aware of my surroundings, keep dogs secure on their leash, avoid unsafe situations, and pay attention to how they’re acting. My goal is for the pet to feel cared for and for the owner to feel relaxed knowing their dog is safe and in good hands.

Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely care about making sure pets are happy and comfortable. I make it a point to check on them regularly, give them plenty of attention, and make sure their needs are met. Safety, care, and love as well always on alert for danger or potential threats. I am always putting my all in and love building rapport and relations with my clients for best outcome and safety.
“Jackie and Jannalea were very sweet and patient with my dog Ponyo. Ponyo got her walks and they managed to take the same route that I usually do without my prompting! Got photos and updates each time so I knew what was going on. Wouldn't hesitate to book again!”

Safety is my top priority, so I always use secure leashes during walks, keep doors and gates closed, and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations.
About: I'm a lifelong dog lover and am looking to get some quality time in with four legged friends. I can’t wait to give your fur babies the exercise and care they deserve! If you have a larger dog who needs more exercise, I will probably jog with your pup. Current badges on Wag! include: Preffered caregiver, Repeat Clients, Top Pet Caregiver I have long term exposure to and have lived with dogs. I also have some previous experience dog-walking and have trained a 70 pound lab puppy to stop pulling. I have also trained an adult Shiba to stop jumping. My experience includes regular dog-sitting and puppy-sitting on multiple occasions including fostering a puppy, so I was responsible for feeding, walking, potty training and bathing. I typically avoid dog walks and interactions with other dogs, simply because I cannot control how the other dog acts and I want to keep your pup safe. I work full time from home, so in-house sittings and weekdays work best. I will typically take pups out every 3-4 hours max unless they are puppies or have other medical needs. I am very covid conscious so I will wipe down surfaces after I use them. I take instruction well and I am very communicative so I am ready to work with you to figure out what’s best for your pet.

“Kate did a great job walking our giant and rambunctious Labradane, Winston. We needed her last minute and she was very responsive. She always showed up on time and Winston immediately took to her very well. I loved the report cards & Winston was very happy when he got home. Thanks so much!”

Thanks!”

“Lexie was well understood and well cared for. I couldn’t have asked for more! Our dog is a tricky one with senior issues but Trisha and her family knew just how to address her difficulties and make her happy and comfortable. She fit right in with their family! I’m very grateful to Trish and I highly recommend her.”

“Outstanding Dog Sitting Service by Sare! If I could give Sare 10 stars, I would. I needed a dog sitter for a week while I was away for work, and I was nervous about leaving Cosmo with someone new. However, Sare exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I dropped Cosmo off, Sare put my mind at ease. She not only took excellent care of Cosmo but went above and beyond. She even took him on daily hikes on our favorite trail, something I never expected anyone else to do. The videos and photos she sent me daily made it clear that Cosmo was in great hands and truly enjoying his time. Cosmo bonded with Sare’s dog, Leia, and it was clear they had built a trusting relationship. This was Cosmo’s first time with a dog sitter, and Sare made it a positive experience. Unlike the impersonal dog boarding facilities, Sare provided Cosmo with the quality care and attention he needed. I’m incredibly fortunate to have found Sare, and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a dog sitter. Thanks to her, I was able to focus on my work with complete peace of mind. I will definitely reach out to her again!”

“Michael and his wife Cindy are very nice and I can trust them for my dog. They both greeted after the booking and they work as a great team for the clear and easy communication. I had to modify my booking due to the schedule change and they were so nice to adjust it for me. I will definitely ask them again to watch my dog when needed. Highly recommend them.”

“Jocelyn was amazing! We got lots of updates and photos of our pup during her stay with her! 🥰 She was also accommodating to our pups needs and comforted her as she was afraid of the fireworks on the 4th. Definitely recommend to book with her she was great!”

“Mary is fantastic! She takes good care of Stella and takes her for long walks everyday. Mary follows all of the necessary diet and medicine instructions, and keeps me updated on my baby while I'm away. She has two lovely dogs herself, who are like a little pack that my dog can be a part of. I have already booked with Mary twice and will definitely do so again.”
