“I boarded my 20 pound Miniature Schnauzer with Ron for a period of ten days while in Hawaii. My pup is an important part of my family and I want him to feel as if he is also having a vacation while I am away. After carefully researching every available boarding option I decided on Ron. I met Ron for a meet and greet before the actual boarding and his responsible and trustworthy nature was evident. Ron also has a beautifully landscaped and secure back yard. Lastly, Ron's Poodle Lily made an excellent companion to my proportionately sized Miniature Schnauzer. In my opinion, the combination of these qualities make's Ron the best choice for small dog boarding in Tucson. My schnauzer had a joyous time frolicking and cuddling with Ron's poodle while I was away. Ron did a great job of sending photos. The photos showed that my pup was eating, enjoying time on the couch and even cuddled in bed next to Ron's poodle. I received photos throughout my trip (not just the first few days) and these photos convinced me that my pup was having just as much fun as I was. Ron is a primary school teacher which is an occupation that I have much respect for and is illustrative of his good character. Ron also has a love of plants which is evident in his beautiful green yard with lots of shady places for dogs to rest and play. I was also very pleased that Ron has a dog door that my 20 pound schnauzer was able to fit through easily for constant back yard access. Overall, I do not think there is a better choice for small dog boarding in Tucson. My pup actually seemed sad to leave Ron and his poodle Lily. It was a great opportunity for my dog to socialize and play with another well trained dog. My dog came back happy, well exercised and without a trace of anxiety. In conclusion, Ron is a kind, intelligent, and caring animal lover. I would not hesitate to board my much loved miniature schnauzer with him next time I go on vacation. Ron's tranquil home and general attitude make the experience a vacation for your pet.”

Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. “We left our Chihuahua Jack Russell mix with Barbara for a whole long day while we came to town to attended a graduation. We were apprehensive about leaving our baby anywhere mostly because he can be kinda crazy lol but she instantly made us feel very comfortable from the moment we walked in the door. You can tell that she genuinely loves dogs and is very comfortable with them. Her home is very inviting and secure and just perfect for four-legged friends. There were two other "guests" there and I kind of felt like I was leaving him at a little doggy party. He seemed happy from the get-go so that made us happy to leave him there. She was also very flexible with our time to drop off and pick up. And very easy to communicate with sending us pictures throughout the day. Her rate was great too! I would highly recommend Barbara and we'll definitely use her again again if the need arises! Thanks for loving Henry for us yesterday Barbara!”

About: I've had dogs most of my life. First was Lance, a Springer Spaniel, when i was 4-yrs old. Add German Shorthair Pointers, Weimeraners, Labs, both English and Anerican Cocker Spaniels, terrier mix breeds and my current pup is a Long Hair Chihuahua. Most of my dogs have been shelter rescues. Also, I foster dogs for local shelters. I am retired and spend most of my time at home working in my new garden reading, or crafting. When we have dog guests, our time is devoted primarily to our visitors. Human away time rarely exceeds 4-hrs per day. I have a large fenced yard to run and play in whenever they want Chewy, the Chihuahua, is a friendly companion. Indoors is a dog-friendly/dog priority 3-bdrm home. Plenty of space if a visitor needs some quiet privacy or a mim with pups wants separation. Daily walks add to our exercise regime. Balls, frisbees and dogs are shared. Treats abound!

In high school I took in a stray cat and it kept getting pregnant so I raised like 5 litters of kittens as well. To be honest I like animals more than people your babies are in good hands. About: I have fostered 8 dogs (so far!) and helped them find homes. Caring for dogs of different ages, temperaments and needs has taught me so much. I have experience with both dogs and cats (and birds and fish!). I work as a substitute teacher, giving me flexibility to take pet-sitting jobs on short notice. I am also available for overnight pet-sitting and longer house-sitting bookings. As a dog foster, I have learned to be exceptionally careful with new dogs. Respecting their space, while being friendly and encouraging. Taking extra precautions when leaving the house or letting them out into the yard. I understand that change and new people can be stressful to a dog and am careful to avoid additional stressors. I feel immense responsibility for the pets in my care, as well as other pets and people we encounter on walks. I also want the dogs to have fun and relax when we are at home. “We needed someone to watch our older dog while we were away for a week. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. Cynthia took great care of our dog, sent us regular updates including pictures and videos. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard.
