“We needed someone to watch our older dog while we were away for a week. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. “Darlene went above and beyond with our little girl, Rosie. We really put her through the ringer. Rosie is older and has health issues that occasionally arise. Just before her stay, she started experiencing incontinence, which, though treated, was not yet under control during her stay with Darlene. Poor Darlene had to use her mop quite a bit, and despite the burden, she treated Rosie so gently and sweetly. Even though having accidents normally stresses Rosie out, she was very content at Darlene's. She was given a lot of love, a healthy amount of treats, and plenty of outside and playtime with Darlene's little pom, Foxi. We were able to relax knowing that Rosie was in great hands. We're big fans of Darlene. Will book again, if she'll have us.”

About: I’ve housesat for cats for a few years, and lived with one for two years as well! Every cat is a little different, and I want to listen to their individual needs. While I’m happy to play and cuddle with them as long as they’d like, just cleaning the litter box and providing food and water for introverted kitty is fine too.

About: I've loved dogs my whole life! When I was born my mom had a chocolate lab and a doberman. Then my dad got a rescue pitbull and a husky mix. Right now my family has a mini golden doodle who's been with us for 14 years and a mini Aussie doodle. I also have a pitbull mix named nova! She's two years old. I’ve never met an animal that didn’t like me! I just graduated esthetician school and I’m currently starting my business. Everything I make on rover goes towards my career! About: I've had dogs most of my life. First was Lance, a Springer Spaniel, when i was 4-yrs old. Add German Shorthair Pointers, Weimeraners, Labs, both English and Anerican Cocker Spaniels, terrier mix breeds and my current pup is a Long Hair Chihuahua. Most of my dogs have been shelter rescues. Also, I foster dogs for local shelters. I am retired and spend most of my time at home working in my new garden reading, or crafting. When we have dog guests, our time is devoted primarily to our visitors. Human away time rarely exceeds 4-hrs per day. I have a large fenced yard to run and play in whenever they want Chewy, the Chihuahua, is a friendly companion. Indoors is a dog-friendly/dog priority 3-bdrm home. Plenty of space if a visitor needs some quiet privacy or a mim with pups wants separation. Daily walks add to our exercise regime. Balls, frisbees and dogs are shared. Treats abound!

About: I have lots of experience with dogs and cats. Throughout my childhood animals were my escape from reality. My dad bred dogs and I always loved them so much it was hard to say goodbye. In high school I took in a stray cat and it kept getting pregnant so I raised like 5 litters of kittens as well. To be honest I like animals more than people your babies are in good hands. About: Hi! I've had my cat Olive for 11 years and my dog Bel for 3 years. I have also taken care of close to 70 foster animals mostly kittens, with a few medical fosters, and behavioral issues along the way. I have taken courses on behavioral training for dogs as my own dog is reactive towards dogs, so I am very familiar with dog reactivity. I currently run a small 1 man business from my home and have control over my schedule to provide care to other animals regularly. I also foster other animals from time to time. My own dog is reactive and high energy and needs 3 walks a day usually with a lot of play. My cat is a large maincoon that requires a strict diet and care regimen to keep her pre-diabetes in check.

About: At 55, I have been a pet owner most of my life. When I first moved to Tucson in 2006, my now wife had a husky and tabby cat which we unfortunately lost years ago. Since then we have been mainly cat owners seeing as our house is quite small but I do miss being around, playing with and walking dogs. Seeing as I work from home and set my own schedule, I can be there when you need, as you need, if you need, all of that. Breaking away from my laptop and house husband duties to hang out with your dog(s) or cat(s) for an extended amount of time is a far better prospect than running errands or checking the mail. Since February of this year, 2026, we are proud parents of a a brother and sister combo of, lets say, rather enthusiastic kittens. It is a small cottage midtown, a safe and loving environment with far too many toys that they sometimes play with, food and water bowls that are always full, I take time out every afternoon to deep clean the house and I even started an Instagram for them that is usually either a) the duo being in the way when we're trying to watch a movie or me cooking dinner or b) chronicling what we like to call "turbo time", aka the zoomies.

About: I have a lifelong background in animal care, growing up on my family’s horse ranch, where I spent 20 years working with animals and learning the ins and outs of ranching. About: Ive had many pets throughout my life. Majority being dogs. Ive had dogs of many sizes and breeds. Ive had three pitbulls, three chihuahuas, two german shepherds, and one saint bernard!! I work part time, my shifts usually being from 6 am - 1 pm on weekdays, which gives me much of my day to take care of your pets! Weekends are a bit more difficult due to the fluctuations in my work schedule but I'm pretty casual when it comes to working around things! I have a fenced yard, its not too big but there is space! About: i’ve grown up with animals my whole life, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. i really think there’s no better feeling than the joy and companionship animals bring, and i’d love the opportunity to care for yours. over the years, family and friends have trusted me to look after their dogs while they’re away, and i always ensure they receive the attention, exercise, and care they need. i grew up with my brother, who is a professional dog trainer, and while i don’t have the same level of training, i’ve learned so much from him over the years. i can help reinforce simple commands with puppies and younger dogs, and i’m just as happy giving extra love, patience, and attention to senior dogs. i have experience living with and caring for dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors, so i’m confident i can meet the needs of every dog and their unique personality. i especially love spending time with high energy dogs who enjoy playing or going on walks, but i’m always happy to adjust my care to whatever makes your pet feel happiest and most comfortable. i am a college student at the university of arizona and am pretty flexible with my schedule. i can do really early mornings before class and most afternoons after class. i am also very open on the weekends and would love to help out whenever needed!!! i always make it a priority to pay attention to your pets’ needs and personalities so they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. i love spending time with animals and making sure they get the attention, exercise, and playtime they need throughout the day. i also love the calmer moments, like relaxing with them, giving them extra affection, or simply keeping them company when it’s time to wind down. i spend a lot of time with my own animals at home, making sure they receive the care, attention, and love they need to be happy, and i would love the opportunity to provide that same level of care to your pets.
About: I'm a lover of every animal I've ever met, with a background in pediatrics, medication administration, foster animal care, neo-natal pet care, first aid and pet/house sitting. I've personally had cats and dogs since I was very young, other small animals as pets as an adult (rats, chickens, goats) and have spent much of my life caring for the pets of friends and loved ones when I couldn't have pets of my own. I love to provide training for young kittens and pups, and have a special love for elderly and special needs animals. We are new to Tucson and hoping to meet and care for as many animals as possible! I am a consultant who works remotely and also own a home in Tucson, complete with my own pets. As such, I have a strict policy of honoring my clients' trust and delivering the quality of care that I would hope for our own home and loved ones. I'm a consultant with a very flexible, remote schedule. I can easily adapt my meeting and work schedule around the needs of pets and others. I like to have conversations about what will make families and clients most at ease at the beginning of our time working together, and then follow through to make sure trust is built quickly and deeply. This can include following special protocols, providing lots of photos and videos, and calling or texting immediately if something arises that I don't yet know the answer to, such as how to help an animal through a surprise stressful situation or where a favorite toy might be hiding. I am engaged and attentive and learn animals' boundaries and interests quickly and easily.

She had some behavior issues she had to address while I was away but handled it like a professional with her veterinary background and gave me a thorough report on when I picked them up. She was kind and caring at all times while still being professional about her expectations and rules. She even sent me photos of my boys while I was gone which was so nice. She played with the guys and worked with them to get them to eat (which is no small chore with our guys). She has a wonderful house with a great back yard and our dogs made themselves at home.
