About: Had 2 siamese back in the day and boy were they loud at times but faithful friends and beautiful animals. Rescued a stray in 2010 and come to find out she had hidden 5 kittens, they all ended up staying except one which went to a friend. We named them after the 4 seasons (including Fall and Autumn to give us 5 names). The mom we called Polly. Big fluffy mama cat. There’s only one left now but they all lived good long lives. My ex has the remaining one now.

“Shelby was superb. She took care of everything we needed and was very responsive always. She sent us amazing pics of our Cat and videos of him being loved. Definitely recommending her. Thanks Shelby!!”

“Tynesha took really great care of our home and our babies, even to the point of having to scour the house to find the "hider." But she did it! They were well fed and cared for during our trip. Good and fast communication, she received and stored our package deliveries for us. House was clean and fresh on our arrival back! We are ever grateful for Tynesha's care for all of us! Not having to worry about your home and pets while on leave is a very nice feeling!”

About: A life-long cat-lover, who has a cat of their own at home seeking opportunities to housesit for households with cats. I love quirky feeding rituals, protecting cats using a pristine litter box, decorating the house with catnip and having a security guard during bathroom business.

About: I’ve cared for cats of all ages and personalities, and I really enjoy getting to know each one. I understand that cats can be shy or independent, so I always move at their pace and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I take care of feeding, litter box cleaning, and spend time with them however they prefer! Whether that’s playing, relaxing nearby, or just keeping them company. I’m gentle, patient, and truly care about making sure every cat feels calm, loved, and well taken care of while their owner is away.

“Great! This was the first time my wife and I had used a dog daycare service, so we were a little nervous about leaving our senior dog with anyone. However, Sharon and Michael were great. They were super nice and made the process very easy, and they took very good care of our old dog. They give senior dogs special privileges and take extra care of them, which we loved. Highly recommend Sharon and Michael, and we will definitely use them again next time we need dog daycare services. Thank you, Sharon and Michael, for taking such great care of our Molly!”

“Trey did a wonderful job caring for my pup. I felt lucky to have found someone to watch my dog who is happens to be an excellent trainer! She is patient, skilled and so kind! She walked me through her training series with my dog each step of the way.”

Smoky clearly had a wonderful day with her and was exhausted when he got home! Already planning to rebook with Danielle.”

About: Hi! Both my husband and I have grown up in Alaska helping care for small chihuahuas all the way up to wolf-hybrids. We are a fun and loving couple with 2 small doodles of our own, 3 stories of house to play in, a small backyard/potty area, and located right next to a doggy park. We can’t wait to meet your furry friend! I work from home permanently, so I am able to provide care all day long for your fur baby. While I work, typically my two doodles spend their time snacking and watching TV! Once the work day is up, to the park we go! I have two miniature sized doodles to keep your dog company. Additionally, we have many toys available to play with, ample treats, and a small backyard area for potty with an additional park right next door. Both of my doodles are fixed and crate trained. :)
“Alex is great! I can tell my dog enjoys her time there because she was a little TOO excited on the second day. Alex takes lots of great pics and pays attention to my dog's behavior throughout the day. It's also nice that she provides a walk even though there's plenty of space to run around in her yard. Thank you!”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve spent years caring for pets for friends and family. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I make sure every animal gets plenty of exercise, affection, playtime, and care while their family is away. I love creating a fun, safe, and comfortable environment for every animal I watch. I am great with any communication requests/requirements and I hope to help make this process easy and smooth :) As a General Manager in retail, I have a very flexible schedule and am able to create my own work hours. I can adjust my day as needed and take breaks when necessary, making it easy for me to return home for feeding times, potty breaks, exercise, and general care. My schedule typically ranges between the hours of 9am to 9:30pm, but I have the flexibility to structure those hours around the needs of my pet. I worked in child care for a couple years and I am the oldest four siblings. I also grew up with our family dog named Pookah. While I understand that caring for humans and dogs are different, I have experience caring for others with the upmost respect, care, kindness, and patience. I love taking walks and getting outside. Overall, I strive to create a very warm and fun environment for any pet I care for.
About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees a few months ago. :( We have an older shihtzu and would like to watch another dog because our dog is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 2 dogs max at a time so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time tho since we also have a cat . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. We have everything needed for a big or little dog.
About: Current medical student with so much motivation to get outside with my dog in between studying. When I was a kid, I always wanted a dog….but we owned everything except a dog due to our lack of a yard. To solve this, I would knock on my neighbors doors to walk and play with their dogs everyday. Now I can finally continue my love into adulthood. My rescue dog, Cowboy, would also love a furry friend. He was the dog the shelter used to socialize their dogs and I’m sure he misses it. I hope I can help you out and use the knowledge I’ve gained from training him and the dogs in my childhood to love and care for your friend! I work from home and have plenty of time to care for your pet. I take my dog on 2 walks a day and spend a lot of time playing, training, and cuddling. I would love to share this time with your pet too. I have a fully enclosed private back yard. Right outside my front door is a short walk to a park and many other walking trails.

I’m an owner of almost 50 indoor house plants. Which calls for routine and not quite like an animal, but I love them that much, I love taking care of things is what I’m trying to say :-) I wanna spend more time with animals than humans, life’s ruff. “Tommy was the best! True to his reputation as the dog whisperer of Valdez. We will definitely call Tommy again when we are in town for fishing or taking family on the kayak or wildlife cruises. The dogs had their own day Valdez fun, too, instead of being locked up in a cage or car. Thank you Tommy!”

“Mandy took amazing care of my dog Ophelia. I didn't even have to worry. At the end of the day, Ophi was happy and sleepy. Mandy was very responsive and sent awesome photos of Ophi. I WILL be rebooking with her, and I'm so grateful to have found her!”

About: Your pup will be treated like family! I have always been an animal lover and have treated all animals with kindness and compassion. I grew up with dogs (and a variety of other pets) and understand the commitment involved in taking good care of your beloved pet. I love watching Cesar Milan and know that rules, boundaries and limitations are also a key part of making a dog feel at ease. That being said, I'm quite a softy so there are generally very few rules as far as the house goes! :) My yard is completely fenced with lots of room to play. They can sleep wherever they choose and will always get plenty of time outdoors ( if they would like). I love walking and will take your pup for as many walks as you would like. My job is very flexible so while dog sitting I will always be at home and with your dog for the entire duration. I know that calmness and kindness are key to reassuring your pup and allowing them to feel happy and comfortable. Boarding can be stressful for animals and parents and I assure you that I will do everything I can to make the experience a joyous and pleasant one. Looking forward to caring for your beloved pup! I have recently lost my 17 yr old chihuahua so looking to have some more dog love in my life right now. Sincerely, Jackie I have a very flexible job as a vending machine owner/operator so I have lots of time to give love and walks to your fur baby! I like to keep pups stimulated with a variety of activities involving exercise, games and love. I enjoy creating fun games for them to do around the house!
“Bami had a great time with Ashley. She worked with us to accommodate our timeline needs and really helped us out. Would definitely use Ashley to watch Bami in the future, if the need arises.”

About: I am a Certified Veterinary Technician with many years of experience in the veterinary field and a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, giving me a strong background in animal care and behavior. I have raised and cared for dogs for over 20 years and love playing, walking, pottying, and spending quality time with them. I am also trained to help animals in emergency situations. My dog, Pico de Gallo, is the love of my life, and I would treat your dog/cat/animal with the same care, patience, and love as if they were my own. I work for myself, so any animal that needs care would be worked into my schedule. I can do stop-ins, walks, play time, anything that is needed for your pets to be taken care of. As my calendar fills up, I ensure the times requested for pets come first before overloading my schedule. I would take care of pets in my clients' homes. I would do potty breaks and ensure the house was not used. I would take the dogs for walks and play with them to burn off some energy before bringing them back home, if the owner allowed it. I would also feed and make sure they drank water before I left, updating the owner on how they are doing. Otherwise, I would utilize the spaces given to me ( a fenced yard, etc.). For cats, I would check in on them and make sure they are fed and watered. i would play with them with their toys and then update their owner on how they are doing.
About: Roughly two years ago, I received a call from a colleague asking to house sit for a weekend after a previous bad experience with boarding two dogs. Both with health issues and one of them not sociable with other dogs. My colleague came back to a clean home, garden watered, mail organized and the dogs very well loved and walked everyday. Ever since, I have housesat for anywhere from 48hrs to nearly 30 days at a time with zero issues. Bed time rituals, feeding songs, walking a slightly reactive dog, cuddling very closely at night were the priorities at the top of the to-do list. Now that two years have passed since that first call I have decided to try my hand at truly making dog walking/house sitting/drop-in playdates a side gig! I work 12hrs a day, rotating weeks 3 days or 4 days a week. Typically Wednesday/Thursday-Saturday off every week. I am up early most mornings in my time off, can make myself available for late nights Wednesday-Friday as well. In your home, I will follow all requests diligently, check all doors and windows before leaving or before bed. I am MANDT de-escalation trained, CPR/BLS certified and will soon be training to further my EMS-adjacent skillsets. In emergencies, I understand the importance of prioritizing the fur babies and keeping them out of harm’s way.
“Tessa takes great care of Dash! She always communicates effectively, is easy to work with and always keeps me updated on how Dash is doing. Would highly recommend!”

About: I have loved most animals for as long as I can remember. I am very compassionate towards animals and feel love and concern when I see a lost or unloved animal. I have pet and house sat for two families who came back to me multiple times. I am always willing to adjust my usual routine to make the owners and their furry family members comfortable. I sat for a friend once who requested that I keep their large, fluffy husky mix in my car whenever I left the house. My priority will always be keeping your furbabies happy, healthy, safe, and comfortable. Last, but certainly not least, I have two dogs of my own who I treat as if they were my own children. I am always thinking of how I would want other humans to treat them when I decide how to work with someone else's pets. During the summer, my pet care will be my highest priority. During the school year (mid August through late December and mid January through late May) I work as a teaching assistant and must prioritize that but I would endeavor to schedule all non-work related activities around the needs of the pet and their family. As I have two dogs of my own neither of which get along well with other dogs, I would not be able to care for another pet in my own home, but I am always willing to stay in another home if pets require constant supervision. I would always follow any instructions regarding pet care given me by the owners. If clear instructions are not given to me, I will ask questions and I will simply do my best to make the pet comfortable and not to change their routine more than absolutely necessary.

About: Since 2006, I’ve been a dedicated dog mom, foster, and senior caretaker. Whether we’re hitting the trails for daily adventures or I’m treating them to a relaxing massage, I’m all-in on canine care. And if the mood is right, I might even serenade them with a song! I’m officially trading the office life for more wagging tails! My schedule is wide open to build genuine, soulful connections with your pups through hikes, massages, and specialized senior care. I’m fully dedicated to my four-legged clients, though I always carve out "paws-on" time to ensure my own pack gets the same love and daily adventures they deserve. If you're looking for someone who treats your dog like family (and maybe even sings them a tune), I’m your person! I truly love caring for pups in the comfort of their own homes. I have a deep respect for the routines and systems you’ve already built—after all, you know your dog best! My goal is to honor those rhythms while gently building a soulful bond of my own. I’ll stick to your schedule to keep things peaceful and familiar, simply adding in my own little "extras"—like a calming massage, a happy song, or a fun trail walk—to make their day a bit brighter. It’s all about keeping them happy, relaxed, and loved right where they belong.
About: I have lived with cats my entire life, and own two currently. I regularly check on friends cats and dogs when they are out of town (for the past 10 years), so I am confident in my abilities to give your pets the attention they need while you're away. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with patience, attention, and respect. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, medication reminders, enrichment, or just some extra companionship while you're away, I’ll make sure they feel safe and cared for. I work remotely as a postdoc for UAF and my schedule can be flexible to work with yours/your pets needs! I enjoy spending time outdoors, and I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, and active outings tailored to your pet’s needs. I’m reliable, communicative, and will always send updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. I have two cats and will generally not be accepting any stay-over visits at my own house. They are really friendly and love humans but other pets would be stressful for everyone!
About: Hi there, my name is Erica! I grew up with dogs and currently have my own rescue pup, an eight-year-old German Shepherd mix. Over the years I’ve cared for friends and family's pets, both for pet sitting and walking. I have experience caring for dogs of all different sizes and breeds. I love the outdoors and will ensure your pup has plenty of fun and exercise! My schedule is currently pretty flexible, I am available during the day most of the week and have some weekend availability. I am happy to discuss your needs of when your pet needs care! I am happy to discuss your pets' needs, and their daily routine to make sure they are walked, fed, or let out in a timely manner. I am respectful of your space and will ensure I enter and leave securely. I will also work on building trust with your pet and take proper safety measures while on walks.

About: Our dog passed away and I miss her very much. Recently relocated to Alaska and loving it! Have extra time on my hands to care for your furry bundle. I’ll take care of her/him/them like my own. Sorry I can’t commit to a reoccurring schedule at this time. Currently between jobs (indefinitely!) so I have plenty of time until then to give your loved ones attention. I love being outdoors so plenty of fresh air is not an issue or playing inside and curling up on sofa with your fluff ball is cool too. No problem if your pet prefers their own space, I am open to all types of personalities. Happy to care for pets in your home according to your normal routine. I am currently renting so care in my home is not an option. Thanks for understanding.
About: Ive had dogs in my life for just about all of it. I figured why not walk dogs and make some side cash while I walk around. Taking care of pets and walking dogs is more of just a part time thing I'm doing to pass the time and get to hang out with animals. Before I moved to Anchorage my family had 4 dogs that I took care of on a daily basis. I always make sure the dog is secured to a lease before I bring them out. Currently on a part time seasonal schedule with more time going to be available in the winter. Figured this would be a great way to stay active and outside while going into the winter months I've have plenty of experience with dogs and their care growing up in northwest Alaska. My siblings and I all had dogs growing up from newborn pups to our fathers dog that lived until he was 21.
“Eric did a wonderful job walking our pups! He was on time, we got pics of them out on their walk and had 2 happy pup faces when they got home! Thank you Eric!”

“Katy has been great with my dog, Scruff. He needed a ton of patience starting out and she worked with him to get him used to a dog walker. He actually got a little grumpy with me one day when I stayed home sick and she didn’t come.”

“Excellent communication, provides updates throughout the day, professional customers service, flexible and patient. I'd recommend to local and out of state pet parents.”

“Kaitlyn and John took amazing care of my dog while I was away. This was the first time I left her at someone else’s home for an extended amount of time and it seemed as if my dog fit right in with their family and was given so much love and attention. They sent pictures and updates daily and my dog returned to me happy and healthy. I would love to have them watch my girl again next time I am in need of a pet sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Our dog seemed to enjoy her stay. Great yard for play, and neighborhood for walks. Kaitlin gave great updates during the stay and was flexible with us for drop off and pick up.”

“I love that I found a trusting family to leave our golden with when we are out of town. He happily goes to their house and I’m at ease knowing he is being well taken care of. I highly recommend Sharon and Michael.”

“Danielle did a fantastic job with my lab. He had injuries his leg right before our trip. Danielle went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and didn’t injury any thing else. Country be more pleased.”

“Suzanne and her husband took my friend and I’s pups after we scheduled a last minute trip. They were extremely accommodating and communicative! They sent us pictures during the weekend and the pups were well taken care of! Would definitely recommend!”

“Very accommodating. I had miscalculated my food count for DD and she made she sure she was still fed. Went above and beyond and can’t thank her enough to take care of my dog.”

“Kerry is so thoughtful, communicative, and caring! I appreciate her clear affection for doggos, and her patience and understanding about Petra’s quirks. Thank you so much!”

“Ashley watched our puppy over the holidays. Our pup got to play outside a lot. Ashley sent photos/updates and even helped with potty training. She was very flexible and accommodating when our original plans fell through. She is amazing!”

About: Would love to love on others pets as we unexpectedly lost our dog of 12 years and aren’t ready for another of our own yet I’m currently a stay home mom to a 3 year old daughter, we walk almost everyday and have more than enough time and love to give! We have a shared unfenced yard but walk around the neighborhood daily. We have an open space for playing around and lots of time to give!
“This was our first time leaving our 2 dogs with other people, let alone strangers. We went to do a meet and greet beforehand and didn’t know quite what to expect. Ryan and Chelsea were great with both of them from the start. Ryan answered all of our questions and was very open. While we were away he kept us updated with how they were doing and sent us photos and videos often. That made it so much easier to enjoy our trip and not have to worry how they were doing. When we went to pick them up, our dogs were excited to see us, but made sure to get last pets from Ryan. We know they are in good hands with Ryan and Chelsea. We will definitely be coming back to them for our trips and we highly recommend! Thank you so much!”

“Highly Recommended!!! My dog Maggie has such a great time. I got pics and texts to stay in touch with updates. Maggie was able to play and enjoy a wonderful fenced in backyard. Faelyn was very caring and I felt confident with leaving Maggie with her.”
“Hawken was fantastic in watching and caring for my 3 golden retriever boys!! Loved that he sent daily pictures of them while I was away and missing them. I had no worries knowing that they were in good hands. He took each one on walks to get to know them better and spend quality time with each one. I would definitely have him watch my boys again!! Thank you so much Hawken!! -Maria”

“I felt so comfortable leaving my dog here because she was awesome! She sent pictures to me of my dog while he was there which gave me that extra bit of comfort! She was great with communicating and I'll definitely be using her again!”

“I’m so happy that we found Lisa and Joe to mind our two pups while we were in Anchorage. They took great care of Ruby and Chance, made them comfortable in their home, and provided updates. Lisa is very responsive and easy to work with. I highly recommend them!”

“Stacey is a careful, attentive sitter who takes the dog hiking - couldn’t ask for more! I also like she only had my pet and her own during the stay. Thanks for all the pics of Pip!”

About: Hello, Caitlyn T. and Harrison S. here! Much of our life revolves around our sweet Alaskan Husky, Crosby, and we'd love to add your pup to the pack while you're away. We both have extensive experience pet sitting - from horses to cats and dogs - and would love to help our community with the space and time we currently have available. About Us: I, Caitlyn, work from home so I can be with your pup all day! We have a dog door to a fenced in (sunny!) backyard, so when we're away, the pups still have access to the yard. We get in morning and afternoon leashed neighborhood sniff-walks, then do longer off-leash walks in the evenings. Harrison works at a bakery in town, but equally caretakes in the evenings and on Sundays and Mondays. As a pet parent myself, having two people involved in the care of my pet when I'm away is comforting, so we're happy to provide that to others! About Crosby: Crosby is a 13-year-old Alaskan Husky/Shephard mix who didn't make the cut for his dog sled team as a puppy, then spent his early years on a farm in Talkeenta before joining our family 9 years ago. He absolutely loves other dogs and reads them well. If they want to play, he'll play, if they want to be left alone, he'll leave them alone. He grew up around puppies, so he is also very good at setting and holding appropriate boundaries with dogs who are still learning. Overall, he has a very quiet, soft demeaner at home but is the most confident, bouncy dog at the park. He still has a lot of energy and in his older years, we just want him to have as much dog-companionship as possible. Your Dog: A good fit for our home would be a dog that is friendly with other dogs, is not food/toy aggressive, can be independent in the house for 1-3 hours at a time, and would not dig under or jump the 4' fence or dig in our gardens. We look forward to chatting more and meeting your pup! 😊 I, Caitlyn, work from home so I can be with your pup all day! “Prospect was in great company and thoroughly enjoyed his time with Aiko and her family :) Great communicators, flexible with my changing pickup & dropoff times, and my boy was returned to me safe & happy. Would recommend to anyone!”
