Aurora was easy to communicate and very responsive. She welcomed my dog into her home and made her feel comfortable. By the 3rd day, my pup was running and wagging her tail to get out of the car and to Aurora’s door. Highly recommend.

Elizabeth was very responsive to my last minute request for daycare. I could tell Biscuit had a nice time and loved Elizabeth! I appreciated the pictures especially since this was my time using Rover, and Elizabeth. Super convenient!

This was the first time using Josie as a sitter. I was nervous about leaving Charli with someone that I had never met before. However, after reading her other reviews my worries lessened. Josie kept me posted throughout the day with notes and pictures which also lessened the anxiety. I hope to be using Josie as a sitter again in the near future.

I am lucky to have had Vasumathy help me with pup-care. The pics and video Vasu sent me Day #1 showed me a happy dog. Day #2 confirmed it. My little guy was making his trademark excited noises from the car as we approached Vasu's house. Care included indoor play with toys, nice long walks, birdwatching from the window, visits upstairs with Vasu's husband, and, of course, meals and treats. TY so much Vasu (and Rajesh) for giving Bodhi such terrific care while I was at work. I felt totally at peace during his stay with you. :)

Heinz had SO much fun with Angela and her family! Angela was great to watch him last minute and we were so happy that she did! He is still all puppy, with lots of playful energy, and he was exhausted after a fun day with Angela! So much so he fell asleep on the way home. We will definitely be reaching out to her again for doggie sitting needs!

Bentley absolutely loves spending time with this amazing family and their sweet dog! After they cared for him for nine days while I was in Florida, I truly started considering them his second family. So when I needed a day trip out of town, there was no question where he was going. It gives me so much peace knowing he’s not just being watched — he’s genuinely loved and having the best time. Highly recommend!

If you are in the Carlisle, PA, area, please consider using Victoria C. and her family as your sitter. It was only a half a day stay but we were able to do a meet and greet before the actual date. She was very attentive and sent pictures to us showing what he was doing. We could tell by Blaze's body language he was happy with his stay. They walked him several times in their backyard and was able to get him to play ball with them. Next time we are in town we will use them again, we highly recommend them.

About: I have been dog sitting and dog walking for 10 years now. I love it and wouldn't change it for the world. I live in a full fenced yard with a swimming pool! I work from home every day! I can help bath, feed, and give medications. I care for all dogs of any size and any breed. I have a dog myself (she is a 2 year old vizsla) and take her on 5 mile walks daily. I have 3 young boys that love animals and will play and run until they are all tired! I work from home every day and my schedule is very flexible. I can stop in to check on the dog or take them for a walk. I have a fully fenced in yard. If the dog needs crated, I have that as well. They will feel right at home at my house.

They were absolutely amazing to communicate with. Our little Meeka would come home so tired from playing with them. They were able to help us very last minute and we couldn’t thank them enough. I was very weary about dropping my little girl off with strangers but after talking with them the night before all my worries went away. I cant tell you how amazing these two and their family are

David is very patient and caring, great petsitter for your dog, He listens to your detailed instructions for doggie daycare and I'm sure for boarding as well. My Jovie got lots of exercise in fenced in backyard and very nice neighborhood with sidewalks to walk your dog during the day and evening. I had no worries leaving him at his house, sent me pictures and kept me up-to-date on everything.

When we became puppy parents in March 2021, we knew it would be challenging to manage our busy work schedules and care for our new puppy the way he deserved. Being in the veterinary field for 20 years made it difficult for me to find anyone I could trust to love and take care of Murph the way we do. When we realized that we needed help a few times a week due to work schedules, I started searching Rover.com and looked specifically for sitters that had repeat clients and excellent reviews. That's how I discovered Courtney and Andrew. When I called Courtney and inquired about her services, she wanted to meet me and meet Murph before she committed to taking him on. After meeting Courtney and her family, I knew Murph would be loved and cared for. We started using Courtney for doggy day care in September and have booked her many times since. Murph loves going to doggy daycare and most importantly, I know that Courtney and her family love our Murph and that means the world to us. Having another family to love Murph and take care of him while we are at work is wonderful. We would recommend Courtney and Andrew to anyone looking for that special family to love your dog the way you do. You won't find anyone better!

About: I’ve been caring for and loving dogs my entire life, with extensive hands-on experience caring for large and senior dogs. I’ve volunteered over 1,000 hours at Damien’s Gift animal sanctuary, caring for animals with a wide range of needs. I’ve adopted large senior dogs and have experience with breeds including Kuvasz and Huskies. I’m comfortable with grooming, administering medications, and providing the patience and attention every dog deserves. I’ve opened my home to provide a temporary, loving place for many dogs when their owners faced homelessness, medical issues, or other difficult circumstances. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your beloved dog in someone else’s care, and I treat every dog as one of my own. Availability I work part-time from home so I’m usually here with the dogs. I’m home and available most of the time, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I’m happy to work with you on your dog’s individual schedule and needs. Our Environment Your dog will stay in a peaceful, spacious 60-acre homestead at the end of a quiet road, surrounded by a creek and plenty of room to explore. I have a very secure, fully fenced large yard for safe outdoor time and plenty of space to relax. I have miles of walking trails through the woods, around the fields and down to the creek. Inside my home, I have several kennels available if needed, including a large 5’ x 10’ kennel and a 3’ x 5’ kennel. Most importantly, dogs are treated as part of the family and receive plenty of love, attention, and supervision.

About: I have worked with animals for a long time. I have a degree in biology and psychology for animal training and behavior. I worked previously in a zoo setting, as well as offering dog training classes through a pet store. I’m trained in positive reinforcement techniques. I work from home with a flexible schedule. We have one English bulldog in our home and I would love the opportunity to visit with your pets on an as needed or regular basis. If you have any questions not answered here, please feel free to contact me about my history/experience or any specific needs you may have. Thanks for reading and your interest! I work from home so I’m always looking to get some fresh air and take a break! I can walk dogs or check in during the normal work day. Currently I’m offering dog walks and check ins during the week. I will follow all of your instructions and be sure to send you an update! We are looking for one dog to offer doggy daycare weekly in our home. My husband and I are both WFH and we would love host a dog (must be okay with dogs and kids) during the workweek!

We are from out of town and visiting Gettysburg so wanted to spend the day exploring the sites. Kayla made this so easy to do. We felt very secure leaving our Shitzu for the day, Chewie blended well with their family, and I felt very comfortable. Kayla kept me updated with texts and pictures during the day and details when we picked him up on how he did. Chewie felt right at home, and was quite excited the next day to be going back. Kayla was very responsive to my texts and questions before and after we booked. Definitely would recommend giving Kayla try.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Uriah

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 308 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Uriah. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Uriah commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 308 sitters in Uriah, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
