“Joy has been so wonderful and accommodating. Harlee did well and was treated like a family member! My anxiety about leaving him for a week is diminished, I she and her family will make his upcoming stay more than comfortable! Thank you Joy!!!”

“Andrea was wonderful with Daisy. We were coming from out of town & did a video chat prior to the stay so we could meet & see the area where Daisy would be. Daisy had a great time playing with Andrea’s dog & she was a very happy pup when we came to pick her up. We would use her again if we are back in the area.”

About: I am home everyday all day long, have 6 years of fostering experience with a rescue and 16+ years caring for animals. I can take any dog no matter what size! We also have a fenced backyard, so your pup will be safe and happy here! We have 3 dogs (1 is 15, 2 are 5) and they love all dogs and will play and snuggle with their new friend. We have had 27+ fosters meet our dogs and they got along with every single one of them :) We live in Gaffney on 30 acres so small hikes and walks are possible, and we have a fenced yard for routine potty trips. I work from home every day and I have 4 dogs of my own, so your pup will fit in just fine here! We have fostered over 27 dogs over the last 5 years, and our dogs are very well behaved so if yours is very young and needs help potty training, they will learn quickly from my pack! Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Union commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
