“Kelly was fabulous with our little pocket rocket. She was very thorough and we had an initial meeting for her and I to meet and for our pup to meet her too, which set my mind at rest. Ossie could not have been happier when we collected him, he had been looked after like a member of the family and was settled and healthy when we collected him. We also received the odd photo which was lovely to help us stay connected, but the right amount so we could concentrate on the holiday. I would thoroughly recommend her and Ossie would, I am sure, love to go and stay again.”

“Jordan was fantastic, I only booked the evening before and she was so accommodating and easygoing, especially as it was short notice. Doris has a wonderful time, I received regular updates which was great. I’d happily send Doris back anytime. 🩷”

“Kat was brilliant with my dogs. She had lots of open communication with me. She walked them loads, let them play with her own dachshund and treated them like her own. She even gave them a bath before sending them back!”

“Once again Sally and her family cared for our furry friend. He loves being with them, they send lots of lovely pictures and messages and involve us in his time away from us. I would highly recommend Sally for your dog... however only when we don't need...🤣. Sally is such a lovely gentle person who really cares about our dog and our experience. Thank you again.”

“Michael was lovely and understood the importance of sticking as closely as possible to Otto's normal routine during his stay. He sent regular photo and message updates as requested and my boy just settled straight away in his home (which is lovely and quiet). I've already rebooked several times and I'm sure Michael and my Otto will be the best of friends. Thank you Michael, the best possible alternative to kennels”

“Jaye & Johnny looked after our boy for a night during the hot summer weather, he was very well cared for with use of their doggy paddling pool and taken out during the early hours of the morning to make sure it was an appropriate temperature. We recieved pictures of him and reassurance that he was fine. We really appreciate the care that they clearly have for pets and treat them like their own. Will definitely be booking again in the future. Thanks guys 🥰🐾”

“Wally had an amazing time with Lindsey and her partner. He adored their dog too. He got plenty of walks and attention and has come home happy and content! Would definitely recommend! Thank you 🙏”

“Jamie was very patient and attentive with Rupert. Despite Rupert’s issues settling into a new environment, he left us reassured and remained patient with him. Thanks for the help Jamie!”

“This was the first time we used Jessica, and we were not disappointed. From the messages before the visit to the care and photo updates while we were away, everything was excellent. Boris, being a bulldog, has specific food requirements and a set routine, which Jessica and her family adapted to perfectly. We felt completely reassured knowing he was in such good hands. We will definitely be using Jessica again in the future. Boris does not like the car and we always have trouble on collection but Jessica’s husband helped get Boris in the car with care, he is now snuggled up having had his favourite dinner , doing his favourite hobby of snoozing 💤”

“Chrissy has been amazing looking after our doggo for 6 nights. She kept us updated daily with photos and we returned to a relaxed and very at home pup when we went to pick her up. Would use again and can highly recommend.”

“Lesley did a great job of looking after our Black Labrador, Jax. He was well cared for, with lots of walks and pictures of him about and about. Lesley was pleasant to deal with. Would highly recommend”

“We left our 7 year old Cockapoo with Leanne and David for 3 hours whilst we took the children to Alpamare water park, and he played with their dog, and we picked up a very happy dog. Can't thank you both enough and we are more than happy to fully recommend”

About: I’ve grown up around cats and have looked after cats for family, friends and clients over the years. I’m used to different personalities, from really affectionate cats to shy ones that prefer their own space. I’m happy with feeding, litter trays, playtime, keeping routines consistent and giving them company while their owners are away. I know how important it is for cats to feel comfortable in their own home, so I always try to keep things calm and stress-free for them 🩶

“Amy was lovely, took great care of Snowy and followed all instructions perfectly. She was responsive and gave updates. Highly recommended and looking forward to hiring Amy again in the future.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by cats and dogs my whole life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. At home, I share my days with my 11 year old Shih Tzu–Poodle mix, who keeps me smiling and reminds me how special the bond with our pets really is. I’m trained in pet first aid and CPR, giving you peace of mind that your furry friend is safe in my care. With experience ranging from playful puppies to gentle senior pets, I bring patience, love, and a bubbly, positive energy to every walk and visit. I work part-time in care, so I’ve got plenty of flexibility to fit in walks and pet sits around your schedule. Whether it’s a quick stroll, some playtime, or keeping your pets company while you’re out, I’m happy to make it work for you and your furry friends. When looking after pets in their own home, I make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved in their familiar surroundings. I’ll stick to their usual routine, give them lots of cuddles, playtime, and walks, and keep everything as stress free as possible just like they’re with family.
About: Dog walker/sitter, initially for friends to cover for holidays and more recently through volunteering as a dog walker/sitter jointly with my husband, through online websites. Pet care will fit into my daily routine as part of my family. I have spare time to easily fit around your pet, offering plenty of love, care and attention around your pets needs. Your pet will be cared for within my own home following your pets patterns of behaviour. I follow your pets nutrition needs and ensure your pet is regularly taken for long walks local and in the countryside, no matter what the weather. Regular cleansing/bathing. Plenty of love, cuddles and treats for good behaviour.
About: Animals and dogs, in particular, have always been a big part of my life, I grew up around them and cannot imagine my life without a dog or two by my side. "My puppy dog loved being with Helga and her dogs Meg and Ruby . Helga is oozing with love for dogs I am so pleased to have found her I feel so at ease leaving my dog with her" Since leaving work in the social sector four years ago due to ill health, I have made a career move and am studying at diploma level with the Centre of Excellence. So far, I have completed and passed with distinction Canine Behaviour, Puppy Training, Canine Nutrition, Canine Holistic Health and therapy, and am currently studying animal welfare. My goal is to specialise in Canine massage which can offer relief for a number of physical and behavioural related issues. I have some experience of raising puppies arising from Meg delivering two litters, with one puppy from each staying here with us. We live together in my bungalow which has a lovely spacious garden (currently undergoing development) set aside (mainly) for the dogs and offers ample opportunity for playing, frolicking and training with the use of a low impact agility course. If that doesn't suit, free play is always an option. Our surroundings provide plenty of safe country walks with very little traffic, or a short ride in the car takes us to local woods and other places of safe walking. Quiet time is between 2 pm and 4 pm: this can be in the garden, or inside. If it is raining, we have various indoor games to play and a comfy settee to relax or sleep on. So, whatever the needs of your pooch, you can be assured that if he or she comes to stay with us, they will receive the very best care available. Please note that drop off times for overnight stays are after 2.00pm and collection is before 10.00am Any time outside of this can be accommodated by arrangement and will incur an extra day care charge. Full payment to be made through the Rover payment system at the time of booking.
About: I have been a petsiitter, walker, companion for many years. I love all fur babies, recently looked after chickens too. I have a car, can work in York and surrounding areas. Will consider further afield but a minimum of one continous week. Always recommend a meetup before a booking for a cuppa and maybe a biscuit 😉 Recently retired. As i am an animal lover and experienced pet sitter for cats, dogs, chickens i can't think of a better way to spend my time. I cannot look after pets in my own home sadly. I can only offer pet sitting, Vet visits, Pop-ins for all fur babies, chickens, feeding, comforting, walking. Sadly I cannot look after reactive dogs because of past experience.
About: I’m experienced in handling large dogs (any size/breed welcome) and have a deep understanding of the needs and quirks of anxious and reactive dogs and the care and patience they require through my experience with my extremely nervous rescue German Shepherd who was in very bad mental and physical condition when I adopted him. Sadly, he passed at the end of 2024 after many happy years together. Personally, I found it extremely difficult to trust others to walk or care for him during our time together so I’d like to reassure those in a similar position that I can take care of their best friend when they need it and I’ll always be as careful, understanding and vigilant as I was with my own. My garden is secure with full, well-maintained fences and walls and a padlocked gate, I have blinds on all public facing windows which can be closed if dogs are triggered by people walking by. Everyone is welcome to supply any toys, beds or anything that makes your dog feel more comfortable and of course I will stick to their usual walking schedule and dietary requirements. I live directly next to a large park which is not typically very busy and offers numerous trails from the main paths to avoid others when caring for reactive dogs. I will never let anyone’s dog off the lead during a walk (unless I have booked a secure field) and always clip leads to a strong walking belt as extra security, walk in shaded areas on hot days and carry water at all times. I mainly work from home so when boarding and pet sitting your dog will be with me all day with regular opportunities to play, go in the garden and for walks in the morning, lunch time and evening. I’m available for walks morning, lunchtime and evenings during the week and all day Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. I only care for dogs from the same household on walks and in my home unless they are friends who have already spent time together. This is for the best possible wellbeing of each dog. I’d rather provide quality and complete confidence than take on as many dogs as possible as I believe in giving them the individual care and attention they deserve with as few stressful triggers as possible. I work from home so dogs will not be left unattended or outside for prolonged periods. I only endorse the use of positive reinforcement / reward-based training and treat all dogs with respect, understanding and care tailored to their specific needs. I’m happy to discuss your requirements, answer any questions and arrange a pre-stay meet and greet if required. I have also completed a certified DBS check through my employer. We do not have any children or pets of our own in our home.

About: I’ve had 3 cats in the past which have all sadly passed so spending time with your furry ones would mean the world and heal me in many ways☺️ My most recent cat was taken care of solely by me by feeding and changing the litter every day.

“Adline took wonderful care of our cats while we were away. She was reliable, attentive and it was clear she genuinely cared about their wellbeing. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We’d happily book with her again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy cat sitter. ☺️”

About: I have been pet obsessed since I was a little girl. I used to go and walk dogs at a local rescue when I was 8 until I finally got my own dog! We now have a 12 year old Miniature schnauzer! Recently, I have walked dogs in the village and spent every waking hour looking after my small animals! I work in a local sports bar for a few days a week - these will be marked as unavailable on my calendar. The rest of the time I’m flexible! I understand how important it is to keep your pets safe. Whether it be observation in a fenced garden or taking out on a lead to go to the toilet. Each baby is different!

About: I have looked after cats for nearly 4 years now. From the elderly Tom to the crazy kittens. I am happy to give medication and have experience in this and I am always happy to provide cuddles, love and biscuits.

She is a playful dog. I am student and I am available to take care of dogs 24/7 as I am studying at home. I can take care on the weekends too with my boyfriend as he loves dogs too. I am confident with dogs as I have taken cared of my family’s dogs to feed and walk them. I am available to give your dog a shower as I have experience look e. I like to make sure their owner feel confident of leaving their child with some else. I would be very happy of taking care of the new members and make company for my little dog too. I really like walking, so it will make my walk funnier and enjoyable as I will have their company and won’t go by myself. I really like to take my dog for a little playground, as they can relief their energy by playing with each other and have a fresh air. It makes my day much better. If they are happy I am happy. I love demonstrating my consideration and admiration for them by giving them my attention. To make our loved ones to keep a routine, i need you to send me all their information to make it easier when they are staying with me. I have experienced taking care of my family’s dog, they have relied on me to walk and feed them. So bringing their food, toys and bed if you have one will help increase comfort at my house. I will always share photos and keep in contact with their owners. Thank you for trusting on me, Maria. 💕 I’m currently studying at home so I have plenty of time to take care of our pets and take them for a walk to have a fresh air and do some exercise with myself. We live in a unfenced house which there is a big garden, we got a barrier for our dogs which it help a lot our control with the dogs. Out neighbour is lovely, they have a dog as well so sometimes my dog goes to see their dog and play with their dog too.
“Karolina was amazing all the way. Her helpfulness to get us out of a sticky situation to providing plenty of information about timing, for when we could drop him off. She was amazing at keeping our cat Dave active and entertained. My partner was delighted to receive plenty of pictures and videos of our happy cat playing and being swamped with attention”

“My fudgie did not want to come home. A great recommendation for the fun he had. I felt so relaxed about leave my puppy with Claire I never leave him but I knew that from immediately meeting Claire I knew fudgie would be so well looked after. I was right. Finding Claire has been a godsend”

“Jordan must've been brilliant because my dogs didn't seem that bothered about coming home with me when I arrived to pick them up. Everything was very relaxed, easy and stress free. Thanks for keeping them company.”
“We were very happy leaving our dogs with Lily while we attended my mother’s funeral. She was great with the dogs making them feel safe and relaxed when we were leaving them in the morning. They were very relaxed when we collected them and in the hours afterwards. We would not hesitate to recommend Lily and would be very happy asking her to look after our dogs again if the need arises in the future. Thank you Lily.”

“Our 7 month old miniature labradoodle spent a very happy day with Ben and Leah yesterday. They kept us informed before the day about which other dogs would be there and checked to see if we thought our pup would be ok with that. It was a hot day so they adapted plans to keep the dogs cool, opting for some play in the shade of the garden over the usual midday walk. I would highly recommend Ben and Leah's doggy daycare.”

“Duke my german shepherd had a fantastic time with Tammy and thank you so much for taking care of my boy. He was so worn out and loved i wouldn't hesitate to rebook Tammy when I visit Birmingham again”

About: I have had pets all my life, from chickens to dogs, guinea pigs and rabbits. There’s not many animals we haven’t welcomed into our home. I currently work 2 days a week, due to being a full time mum - this means I’m flexible throughout the week and weekends. Because my husband works shift I would like to know in advance when a pet needs looking to but don’t be afraid to ask at short notice. If I can help, I will! All of our pets that require vaccinations are vaccinated. All are up to date with flea and worm treatments. Given that I work in a vets they receive high end (pom-v) treatments not over the counter products. We previous had a little Westie, Pixie who was diabetic, her medication required a strict time routine to ensure she was stabilised well after meals.
“A big thank you to Nicole for looking after Indi again t was obvious how much Indi enjoys being with Nicole by India's reaction when I dropped her off. She was so excited to be at Nicole's again. I received lots of photos showing Indi enjoying herself. I will have no hesitation of using Nicole again when I need weekend doggy day care.”

About: I work part time from home so plenty of attention during your pet’s stay with us. Both myself and my husband have grown up around dogs, we have also had two family dogs over the past 20 years or so, but sadly our last fur baby left us for Rainbow Bridge seven years ago, aged 14. We have hosted dogs belonging to family and friends, for day visits, overnight stays and special trips to the seaside. We only accept well behaved dogs and prior to booking we always have a meet and greet with yourselves and your dog, we're sure you would also like to meet us too. We would love to know the little quirks and character of your dog to ensure he/she has a happy and settled stay with us, so let us know any special requirements, no matter how small, which your dog would require for his/her happiness and well being. During your dog’s stay with us he/she will enjoy two daily walks along country fields close to our home, around 40 mins each, if your dog requires less of more please let us know. Once the weekend arrives we explore the wider area, with walks surrounding the town we call home. Our home has a secure and fenced garden accessible from the kitchen via patio doors which are open most of the day, weather permitting, for your dog to enjoy the garden. The kitchen is the heart of our home, so rest assured your dog will be part of the family during his/her stay. The room provides a cosy corner where your furbaby is able to snuggle in their bed if they feel the need to nap in between exploring new places, enjoying a new social life and playing with favourite toys. Within 5 minutes of our home we have open countryside for walks, a run a round or a game of fetch.
“Major had such a lovely day with Jamie, who walked and played and kept Major engaged and active all day. We were sightseeing in York and it was snowing, but Jamie made sure Major had a lovely day. We got photos and updates which really helped us to relax and enjoy our time in York. Happy to highly recommend Jamie.”

“Our puppy Red had a lovely day with Michele and Andy and their dogs. Regular photo updates and a very happy puppy when picked up . Highly recommended and we will be booking again”

“Rufus’s second stay with Georgia and Will. He was super excited to be there and made himself at home immediately. When I came to collect him he was sitting happily on the sofa snuggled up with Will. Think he had a great day as he was very quiet in the car on the way back, and his usual sleepy self this evening. Thanks Georgia!”

“We were over the moon with Cariana and the way she looked after Ziggy for the day! She kept us updated with plenty of pictures and I just knew Ziggy was being very well looked after. She was a very happy pup and we really appreciated the care Cariana provided. Would highly recommend! Thank you Cariana!”

About: I have lots of experience caring for pets as my degree has allowed me to work in both kennels and catteries, getting to know different animals and how to care for them. I have always had pets in the house and have a great love for all animals. My degree is quite full on, however midweek and weekends I would be able fit you and your pet in. Being around animals is very important to me and I often drop anything for the opportunity to cuddle a cute pup I am not able to have pets in my home at the moment but would be more than happy looking after your pet in your home, or taking your dogs for walks. I would be more confident walking dogs on leads as I would be worried if they do not have strong recall skills, however I would always ensure they have enough excercise.

About: I grew up on a farm and have lots of experience looking after all animals. I grew up with golden retrievers, labs, spaniels, huskys and looked after multiple other breeds.
About: I’ve always had dogs in my life and have always had a love for all animals. My family and friends quite frequently call upon me to help look after their dogs and I am always happy to help. I used to be a professional dog walker so have plenty of experience with all types of dogs. I’m currently working part time (within school hours) I’ll have lots of time to spend with your furry friends and am available for home boarding Wednesday-Sunday. I have a young family and we love walking and have found some amazing nearby walks that we love to do. I have a secure fenced in back garden. I Can crate your dog if required and crate is provided. Your dog will be in safe hands with me and my family.
“We were very grateful to Eleanor for looking after our puppy for a couple of hours last minute. She was very flexible with our changing arrangements and our dog loved going on a long walk and relaxing with her! We loved seeing the pictures of her day and would definitely use Eleanor again!”

About: I have had many pets over the years. From a donkey, goats, chickens and of course dogs! I stumbled across offering care for other people's dogs by accident really, but it works really well. I care for our extended family and friends dogs in my home while they go away on holiday. I lost my gorgeous dog four years ago and miss him terribly. I decided this would be a great way to enjoy having the company of a dog again. My dog was a whippet so I know what a good walk looks like! I am are registered on trusted house sitters and have five star reviews from all my sits. I have no dogs myself so your dog would be the only dog to be cared for whilst with me. You can go away knowing your dog would be having a lovely holiday with me while you are having your own holiday. They fit in as my pet for the duration of their stay. If I stayed in your home you could rest assured I know how to look after a home. I have been married for over 40 years. I have an acre garden so grass cutting does not faze me either.
“Madison always keeps us up to date with what she is doing with Ziggy. Our springer always has lots of fun and loves having a walk with her. Madison is reliable and responds to messages promptly.”

About: I've been looking after family and friends pets for around 10 years. Everything from house rabbits to cats and dogs. I'm experienced in dealing with both puppies and senior dogs, including medication administration, having looked after two senior English pointers who were both on various medications. I've just returned from travelling South East Asia, and I'm looking to pet sit alongside my yoga teacher training course. I'm studying mainly from home so I'm available from 6am until 4pm during the week . I normally walk everyday too so a furry companion for my walks would be great! I'll care for your pet with compassion and patience. Just let me know what/ how they enjoy to spend their day and thats what i'll do. We also have a family dog Max who lives with my parents, so I understand how they are part of the family, and will take care of your pet as if they were my own.
About: I have grown up fostering dogs and since moving out of my parents I have rehomed a cocker spaniel that was in bad shape. I have brought her to the amazing, well mannered, highly trained girl she is now. She gets on with all dogs, though can be nervous. I believe that pets are part of the family and think they deserve to at least use our furniture, we are their whole world after all. I have extensive experience in training puppies and dogs alike and also pick up on any signs, body language and behavioural issues and can address these promptly to ensure a happy time for your pets. My mum is a dog groomer too so I have grown up knowing the ins and outs of many different breeds and temperaments in dogs. Pet care fits into my daily routine perfectly, being self employed allows me to take control of my own schedule. I love going for walks and hikes so what’s better than being able to also take pooches for long walks and adventures, as well as nice chilled time on the sofa. I have a large fenced garden and a cocker spaniel girl of my own to keep your furbaby company. We can crate our dog or your dog if needed. My mum is a dog groomer so I have picked up dog first aid from her, as well as tips and tricks to bathing tricky dogs too! I am in a large house so theres room for indoor play and cosy relaxation alike.
“Kjempefornøyd med Helene,? hun var med på tur og ble kjent før hun passer hundene i mitt hjem. Hun er flink med mine 3 store hunder og tydelig vant med hund, leste de godt. Jeg fikk oppdatering og bilder daglig. Hundene virket fornøyde og rolige når jeg kom hjem. Jeg kunne se at de hadde hatt det bra ??”

“Jamie was very patient and attentive with Rupert. Despite Rupert’s issues settling into a new environment, he left us reassured and remained patient with him. Thanks for the help Jamie!”

“Emma looked after our rescue dog overnight at short notice - a lifesaver! . She kept in touch throughout the stay, sending regular updates and photos which really helped alleviate my anxiety. Would definitely recommend Emma to others. Many thanks”

“We really appreciate Michael helping us out after an emergency meant we needed somebody urgently. He was brilliant with our nervous lab, knew when to encourage him and when to give him some space and we couldn't be more grateful.”

“Raymond and Jo took such great care of Olaf for 4 nights, we are really grateful. We aren’t from the area but needed somewhere for Olaf to stay while we were on a break nearby. Reading the lovely reviews by others, we felt this would be a good choice and we were right! Ray kept us regularly updated every day, sent lovely pictures, and asked lots of good questions to ensure Olaf would have everything he needed. Olaf seems relaxed and happy and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we are in the area. Thank you so much.”

“Maddie was super patient with our 3 month old puppy, Haribo. This was a booking made on extremely short notice due to a last minute cancellation by another sitter, and so we were extremely lucky that Maddie agreed to take him in for 2 nights. Moreover, she took the time to meet him before the booking and immediately put my and my husband's minds at ease. Haribo was definitely well-taken care of. She was very keen on sticking to his routines, was very caring and affectionate towards him. She took him to the dog park, watched Bluey with him, snuggled with him on the sofa, and took him out regularly. He had accidents but Maddie was so understanding about everything. Haribo def had the time of his life and is a happy pup 😍 we have requested another booking with her because she's amazing!”

“Leah and Ben were brilliant. They communicated well throughout and were attentive and caring to Rocky, even though it takes him a while to settle in new places. They were really helpful and understanding and could even give rocky his oral medication without concern. Their dog Louis was also lovely and very gentle and sweet. Rocky loved playing with him. We felt at ease leaving Rocky with Leah, Ben and Louis for the first time and knew he was in excellent hands. Thank you so much! We’ll definitely be re booking.”

“Ruby had a lovely over night stay with Vanessa and family. She’s previously enjoyed day care with them. She enjoyed lots of walks and attention from Vanessa’s boys. She didn’t want to come home! Updates were shared throughout. She’s looking forward to another stay in a month!”

“Eva is absolutely incredible, she looked after her 10th-14th. Bare in mind I didn’t want too leave her but Eva kept reassuring me that she’s okay and she brought her a new collar as the one she had broken and she brought her some treats and taken her on loads of walks and playing with her favourite toys and then her a wash too and lots of cuddle I’ll be hundred percent booking her in with Eva again she was so understanding kind and caring I will deffo recommend her to anyone as my dog has anxiety and separation anxiety and she made our baby girl settled thanks EVA xxx”

“I could write pages on how Cameron and Emily treat our dog with such love and as if he is their own, but I think Chapo’s feelings are much more important. It’s our second time booking with them, and Chapo had been quite moody before we dropped him off, but as soon as we got to their house he was suddenly very happy, very excited, very waggy tail, thrilled to be back. I think that says everything that needs to be said about their brilliant care. He loves playing with Hugo, and Cameron and Emily are amazing with him. Couldn’t recommend them enough.”

“Couldn’t have asked for better. Regular updates and pictures helped as this was the first time I had left our dog with anyone. Such a lovely person and obviously a huge dog lover. Highly recommend.”

“Ewan and Katy were absolutely fantastic looking after Cody while we were away on holiday. They went above and beyond with pick-ups and drop-offs, and kept us updated every day with how Cody was doing, which gave us so much peace of mind. They clearly cared for him as if he were their own, and everything was perfect. I honestly can’t fault them in any way. We’re so grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to leave Cody in their care again. Highly recommend!”
