“Caity is great! Fred seems to have enjoyed himself and Caity sent me daily updates. I felt Fred was very well looked after and very safe with Caity. I will definitely book Caity again!”

“Victoria and her family was fabulous with our dog. They were very attentive and wanting to know everything she needs to stay comfortably. My dog had an operation two weeks before her stay and they truly paid attention as to what will be best for her. The children showered her with love, but were respectful not to overstimulate. The back garden is large, but Rowan was mainly taken for walks, as she was not allow to play too vigorously due to the surgery. She did not want to leave upon my return! Also, I am grateful to Victoria for one favour she did, due to a small mistake I have made.”

“Crumble had a lovely time with Kirsty for 3 nights while we were away. During our initial visit, Crumble was happy and relaxed and got along well with Kirsty. I would be more than happy for Kirsty to look after Crumble again.”

“Debbie looked after my dogs for a full week and was absolutely fantastic. One of my dogs is quite a fussy eater, and she was so patient and understanding with him, which I really appreciated. It’s clear she genuinely cares and takes the time to make each dog feel comfortable and well looked after. Both of my dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for when I picked them up. Knowing they were with someone so kind and attentive meant I could completely relax while I was away. I’m incredibly grateful for the care she gave them and would trust her again in a heartbeat.”

“My dog Chloe had a wonderful time staying at Jessicas . She was taken for lovely walks and outings to Dalkeith country park , Longniddry beach and local parks . I would definately ask Jessica to look after her again and highly reccomend her to others”

“Jessica was absolutely lovely and very reliable. I could relax with peace of mind and got plenty of updates. Roxy has a heart condition so it isn’t easy to leave her with anyone but it felt safe to leave her with Jessica and everything that was advised regards Roxy and her routine was taken on board. We hope to be able to use Jessica for dog boarding again. :)”

“Daisy took very good care of Magic. She is very capable and confident and he got to do all his favourite things like playing on the beach, playing with his ball and making friends with the family. We hope to use Daisy again to look after Magic.”

“Pamela was excellent looking after Bella whilst I was away. Regular updates, with photos and videos, keeping me informed of her behaviour, appetite and any other information that was helpful to hear about. Bella took to Pamela instantly, which was a positive to see from the start and made my entire trip less stressful. Would happily recommend Pamela to any other people looking for a stress free cat sitter. I am going away later this year and Pamela will be top of the list to look after Bella again.”

“Amie has been amazing, one of the best cat sitters we've had!! Always sending updates and pics, very affectionate with Lilly and very understanding with Blueberry who is scared of having new people around! You won't regret having Amie as a cat sitter 😀”

“It is the second time I have asked Cristina to cat sit my very timid moggy Molly. I am always at ease leaving her in capable hands and knowing I can relax and enjoy my holiday. ”

“There are many good things i can say about Eilidh. But really its the cats opinions that matter. Trudie likes Eilidh, she likes everyone. Bea, hides when the door goes, Bea does not talk to strangers and takes a while to warm up to my friends. Bea liked Eilidh instantly! Bea was comfortable from the second the met. She came to say hello, she allowed brushing and wanted cuddles. That is very rare and the biggest commendation I can give. Id a better break knowing my girls were happy, fed, brushed and content with eilidh.”

“Anna was fantastic when looking after Apollo and Ares. She even managed to befriend Ares who is usually elusive and doesn't engage with people. Photos and videos were plentiful! We had a difficult situation with a broken lock on the second to last day, which could've happened to anyone, but Anna made sure the cats were fed through their cat flap and got in touch quickly so we could arrange a locksmith to resolve the issue. I'd happily recommend Anna to anyone needing their cats looked after!”

“Julie is amazing, and clearly very experienced with cats. My cat Loki can be quite shy, but he felt right at home with Julie. About: I had a menagerie of pets growing up, from hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits, to two family dogs. Raising a family of my own now, I’d love for my children to experience a live-in dog; from cuddles to walks, poo-bags to slobber. My children are very affectionate but respectful, and would love the opportunity to learn some of the responsibilities attached to having a pet at home. We have a large garden, surrounded by large conifers. Unfortunately it is not entirely fenced off, and we are prone to wildlife such as foxes and hedgehogs frequenting, as well as neighbouring cats, so good recall would be required off-lead. However, we will also include plenty of walks 😊. I work within primary school hours, primarily from home. So could include walks to/from school, alongside a lunch time or evening walk. Being at home all day, your pet would never be alone. They would have plenty of opportunities for cuddles, and play when the kids come home. We can tailor the care of your pet to your individual needs/energy levels. Some of our intended care plans have been described above, but happy to discuss in more detail, on contact.
About: I am dedicated and reliable pet sitter with a passion for animals and over 13 years of experience providing exceptional care. Proven ability to create a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for pets while ensuring their well-being and happiness. I’m currently not working, so I have plenty time to look after your pup. I am available on the weekdays as well as the weekends. I have a massive fenced back garden, and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your did if needed.

About: I grew up with an excitable boxer and love dogs of all shapes and sizes. Ideally would be delighted to look after dogs that are friendly with children as I often look after my niece and nephew. I work full time hybrid-remote. My working hours are between 0700 and 1500. I would be in office on Tuesdays and Fridays, but would be home from 4pm onwards. I have a fenced garden and enjoy going on long walks once I finish work as I regularly take part in walking challenges. I have no others pets at the moment and we are currently child-free though I’m sure my young niece and nephew would love to join us for walks.

“Audrey seemed to have the best time with Daisy & family! She was very well looked after, and Daisy made sure to check any of Audrey’s needs beforehand! Great updates, and we would definitely use again! :)”

“Derek and his wife took great care of our dog. Asked all the right questions, know what they’re doing. Lots of pics and videos of the stay. Our Dog settled well with them. This was a tryout for a longer stays. Delighted. Many thanks!”

“Using Rover for the first time was daunting, but I trust our Knuffel’s instinct — and he walked straight into Kirsty and David’s house and immediately flopped over for a belly rub. Communication with Kirsty was easy, and she was wonderfully flexible with pick‑up time, which made the whole experience even smoother. Getting pictures throughout the day of him in his usual happy pose — paws in the air, fast asleep — was reassuring and meant we could enjoy our day without worrying. We’ll definitely rebook with Kirsty and David again.”

“Absolutely fantastic sitter. My pup has been so well looked after. Would not hesitate to use again and great to have the option for a day out in Edinburgh with my very happy pup nearby.”

About: I grew up with a stupidly friendly Rottweiler, and plenty cats. While my family didn't get another dog after Anushka, we did rescue many stray cats, giving them the kind of life their domestic counterparts would have been jealous of. After years of living in rental properties, it was only upon buying our own house that we got the chance to get pets. We picked up sibling kittens, Billie and Weegie, from Glasgow soon after moving in. Then came Cooper, the single most handsome chocolate Labrador in the whole world, and Yakul, a Red Setter with no shortage of character. We raised and trained both dogs, with help from a local professional, to a respectable standard. Neither is going to win Crufts anytime soon, but they have decent recall. It's a bit of a bureaucratic inconvenience, but I tend to go by my middle name, Richard. Rest assured, the Konrad in my profile and the Richard in my testimonies/reviews are the same person, Konrad Richard Taeuber. I work from home several days a week. While the 2 cats come and go as they please, the 2 dogs, Yakul and Cooper, are my co-workers. I generally take the doggos for a walk in the afternoon, and then again in the evening. We have a reasonably small-medium sized garden with plenty of green space to explore. It's more of a racetrack than circuit, but it's a zoomie-friendly space. Walls and fences separate our garden from neighbours. The fence could be jumped by a particularly leggy dog, but we haven't had any issues yet.

About: I've had dogs all my life and currently have two friendly small recue dogs who get along well with other dogs. I'm a huge animal lover and genuinely enjoy spending time with pets, making sure they're happy, comfortable and well cared for. I love being outdoors and going for long walks, so your dog can look forward to plenty of exercise, attention and enjoyable adventures. Having recently moved to Edinburgh and taken a break from teaching, I have lots of time and flexibility to dedicate to caring for your pets throughout the day. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family members, and I will care for them as if they were my own. My goal is to ensure every pet feels safe, loved and happy while you are away. I will send plenty of updates too. I'm an early riser so befornmy morning coffee I will take the dogs out for a 45 minute walk. When we come back we have a cuddle on the sofa while I have my morning coffee. I will be home with them most of the day and if I am going anywhere my partner works from home so she will be home with them instead. I will take them out again between 3-5 for a longer walk between 1 - 2 hours long depending on what dogs I have an whether they prefer longer or shorter walks. I have a fully fenced garden and two friendly dogs. One can be initially grumpy but he's 9 now so soon gets over it. I will love your pet as if they were my own and they will soon become part of the family.
“We feel like the luckiest family ever to have found these two wonderful, caring ladies to look after our baby. They love her as much as we do and we really feel so relieved knowing she is not only being very carefully looked after but being shown the love they show their own beautiful dogs. We absolutely love that we get hand written daily schedules with little cute notes and advice, also a score of how good Orla has been(only ever 10’s so far!) hehe but it’s just another thoughtful thing they do to show us how much the care. We are so lucky they really know how to train dogs too and are helping us massively by training Orla too! We get lots of pics, videos and messages throughout the day to keep us in the loop and it’s brilliant seeing Orla have a great day. We honestly can’t believe how lucky we are having two new aunties and 3 new cousins for our Orla. Highly highly recommend Ginevra & her partner to look after your furry babies.”

“We booked Allie to walk out dog whilst we went to the Scottish open golf for the day during our holidays, it was nice to meet up before day, it put our mind at rest... The day was made a little tricky due to the heat, Allie judged the situation & decided on little walks on the shade and a bit of company. We would recommend 👍🏼”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover who has grown up with dogs and cared for a variety of breeds throughout my life. While I don’t have professional dog sitting experience, I have plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs as part of my family. I live with my husband, two children and our friendly family dog, who are all great with other dogs. Your dog will be welcomed into a loving home environment where they’ll receive lots of attention, affection, exercise, and playtime. We have a good sized, fully enclosed garden where dogs can safely explore and play throughout the day, as well as access to regular walks and plenty of opportunities for enrichment. During these periods, I am at home throughout the day, allowing me to provide plenty of supervision, companionship, exercise and care for your dog. I have a good-sized, fully enclosed and secure garden where dogs can safely play, explore and enjoy time outdoors throughout the day. I share my home with a friendly, neutered Labrador cross German Wirehaired Pointer who is well socialised with other dogs. She is calm, respectful and understands when another dog would prefer their own space. I also have two dog-savvy children, aged 10 and 14, who have grown up around dogs and understand the importance of treating them gently and respectfully. I appreciate that every dog is different and will work to maintain their usual routine as much as possible. If your dog is crate trained or uses a crate for rest, sleep or downtime, I am happy to accommodate this. I will provide a safe, loving family environment where your dog will receive plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment and care while you’re away.
About: As a part-time dog walker with a love for all animals, I ultimately aim to spend as much of my time as possible caring for them. I have a lifetime of experience caring for both cats and dogs, which has provided me with a strong foundation in understanding the needs of different pets. With my own 3-year-old dog Milo, and 5 month puppy Maple, I’m skilled in managing the daily care routines of dogs of varying ages! Further, I now have experience in managing a multi-dog household, caring for dogs of different ages and managing both their expectations for a happy outcome. Pet care in my daily routine involves balancing my dog's needs. This includes exercise, feeding, training, and providing companionship, all while ensuring both pets feel secure, loved, and well-cared for. Ultimately, I stick to the dogs routine. It is so important that animals in my care receive the same level of attentiveness as they would their own owner. This involves feeding routine, walking, toilet breaks and play time.

“Naomi has helped me out with drop in visits and dog walks, she’s great at providing updates on the dogs and has helped me out with my last minute requests a few times! Would definitely recommend!”

About: I have had pets since I was young of all kind. I had 3 dogs which I would walk and feed and I had guinea pigs and rabbits which I would take care off and clean up after, and I just love being around all sorts of animals. I am a student so I would have to work around a schedule in the day but I am free every evening to look after pets since I don’t work part time anymore I keep my flat very secure. I live right next to Holyrood park so I have a great place to go on lots of nice long walks and I also have insurance.

About: I’ve been around dogs most of my life starting from watching neighbours furry friends to now enjoying life with my Cocker Spaniel - Rollo. I always try to give every dog a home boarding experience that makes them feel comfortable and like they are in a home away home. Our daily and weekly routine is as follows. 7am - I complete breakfast time and morning walks allowing the doggies to enjoy waking up, enjoying locating sticks, sniffing spots and exploring till 9am. 9am-12 - Working from home I ensure the dogs have constant supervision with the doggies free to enjoy the garden and partioned part of the house until 12. 12-3pm - After the afternoon walk (12-1.30pm) we have rest time where the doggies can enjoy relaxing in the house, watching Bluey or dog TV and the most important things (doggy yoghurt ice lolly and cuddles). If everyone has been good we stop at Starbucks for a well deserved Puppacino. 3-5pm - I usually finish work by 5pm where I organise dinner time and evening adventures (Roslin Glen, Musselburgh Lagoons & Holyrood Park are my favourite evening walks). 8-10pm - Winding down time is where we begin to get settled in for the night with relaxing in the garden and movie night with popcorn. Each dog is different and we make sure to make them feel comfortable and make their stay with us as much as like being at home as possible. For dogs boarding with us my non negotiable is that every dog upon arrival will be checked in and issued with a GPS collar with our contact details
“Nat was absolutely great with my dogs. They loved her as soon as they met her and were very happy out for a walk with her. I would happily have Nat walk my dogs again and would recommend her to others!”

Previously, I was a senior trainer/coach with the Dogs Trust running training classes with Dog School for 4 years. Prior to my work with dogs, I was a Zookeeper for 12 years. My passion has always been in animal welfare and behaviour. Ethics and welfare are my highest priority for animals in my care. I am committed to using safe and comfortable equipment, building a bond with your dog, and having a positive relationship. I have a deep understanding of dog body language. I know what issues to look out for during socialising together and or with other dogs on our walks. I also ensure dogs have breed fulfilment and mental stimulation as well as exercise. My walks will have a maximum of 4 dogs. (One of which will always be mine) The dogs travel in my car, either on the back seats with seatbelts or in the boot separated by safe secure dividers. They won’t have to travel in a van with lots of other noisy dogs. I do some training on the walks such as focus, calmness, lead walking skills, recall, polite greetings, emotional regulation. Providing the dogs a sniffy walk so they use their brains and energy wisely I am fully insured through my business. I am registered as a dog walker with Edinburgh council Undergoing dog First Aid training. I look forward to hearing from you! I have limited spaces on group walks and currently fully booked for solo sessions but do enquire and I’ll see what I can do As an accredited positive reinforcement trainer, I will always treat your dog with respect and gentleness. Dogs do not need a firm hand, nor is being a pack leader up to date theory. Dogs deserve understanding and effective science backed training techniques, no matter the size or breed. I will always ensure their equipment is safe and checked before a walk. Trackers are very welcome!

“Just to say many thanks Derek & Angela for your super care of 🐕🦺Lexi during her fist visit. Your care and attention of her and regular messages and video updates of how she was was much appreciated. We would be very happy for Lexi to come and stay with you both again, as I’m sure she would be. Kind regards, Ian & Mairi”

“Krystle was great! It was our first time leaving Teddy with someone that he didn't know, but we needn't have worried. Teddy settled in really quickly and we got regular updates and pictures informing us of how he was doing. I wouldn't hesitate to use Krystle again and would highly recommend😊 xxx”

“Allison took amazing care of our dog Luna for the 3 weeks we were away. Plenty of photos, updates and insights into how Luna was getting on. Would highly recommend.”

“Mike and Lorraine were absolutely great looking after our lively Labrador Baxter. They sent regular updates and photos and we felt very confident leaving Baxter with them. He clearly had a great time…..he didn’t want to leave when we went to collect him!”

“Amazing! Jennifer was great at communicating from start to finish, which made everything really easy and reassuring. I felt completely comfortable leaving Beau overnight, and he was safe, well looked after and happy to gets lots of cuddles. I'd definitely book again and highly recommend Jennifer!”

About: Hello, I'm Caroline, a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mum to three wonderful dogs—two rescued Spanish Galgos and one small Jack Russell. Dogs aren't just pets to me, they're family. My own dogs are at the heart of everything I do, and I know how difficult it can be to leave them in someone else's care. That's why I offer a genuine home-from-home experience where every dog is treated with the same love, patience, and kindness as my own. Having cared for rescue dogs with different personalities and needs, I understand that every dog is unique. Whether they're energetic and playful, a little shy, or simply enjoy a quiet cuddle on the sofa, I'll take the time to get to know them and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I believe dogs thrive in a calm, caring home environment where they receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and routine. Your dog's happiness, wellbeing, and safety will always be my top priority, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax, knowing they're having their own little holiday. When your dog stays with me, they won't just be boarded—they'll become part of the family. As a stay at home Dog Mum, Wife & Mum, your pet will never be alone or feel lonely. I have a laid back home, relaxed & easy going. There are some lovely walks in the area & an enclosed dog park that can be booked at an additional cost if you'd like to include that in your dogs stay. Walks will be on-lead as safety is paramount whilst in my care. A typical day would include up early, breakfast, walk then weather dependent they can come & go in the secure back garden. Afternoon walk, dinner time & an evening stroll before settling down for the night. I have a fully fenced/gated back garden & the dogs just come in & out as they please. When the sun is out the outdoor beds are placed in the shade with ample fresh water & doggy toys.

“Daisy took very good care of Magic. She is very capable and confident and he got to do all his favourite things like playing on the beach, playing with his ball and making friends with the family. We hope to use Daisy again to look after Magic.”

“From start to finish a phenomenal experience! Initially this placement was chosen given it’s proximity to my brothers house however this turned out to be an excellent move! Judit and family were beyond helpful, kind, considerate and kept us fully up to date with lots of lovely and reassuring pics/videos. We were welcomed into their home pre weekend stay so that Hemingway could get used to the space, they took this time to get to know him and chatted away in a friendly and warm manner. Hems was definitely treated as part of the family! I cannot recommend this wonderful family highly enough to other prospective doggy parents.”

About: Ive had 2 dogs for the last 17yrs . Of which we had 2 litters from . I adored the whole journey from puppy to seniors all come with different challenges and demands but Sooo rewarding to have relationships and experiences together. Since my 2 dogs have passed find myself caring for friends and family's pets .. so it seems the natural order to board for those who dont have that facility. I love having the company of dogs in my home. Gets me out exploring our beautiful walks . I am at home most days although I have an art workshop close by so can often be found there. In which case the dogs come with me and have space to raom there securely too. So I am around for enjoying each other's company and there for treats cuddles and toilet breaks . I live in a home with both front and back garden both fully enclosed . Although I do like to make use of our many gorgeous walks locally so aren't stuck in one place all day. I can offer a crate for your dog to sleep in if required although happily have them loose if they prefer.
“Katie and Lorimer were excellent with Alfie. He is quite nervous when meeting new people but they gave him space until he felt comfortable with them. They took him for lots of lovely walks and gave him lots of play time in the garden. They kept us updated with plenty of photos of him which kept our minds at ease as this was the first time we had ever left him with a pet sitter. Would highly recommend them and will be using them again.”

“Clara was a very enthusiastic and caring dog-sitter for Patch. She followed my instructions for Patch's daily routine and she communicated regularly to let us know how he was getting on. Patch seemed very happy staying with her.”

“Vaida took care of Charlie while I enjoyed a holiday in Greece, and it was my first time using Rover to find a pet sitter. I genuinely can't recommend her enough! I was so grateful to have Charlie looked after. Vaida was wonderful, she took great care of him, especially considering he's a senior dog, on a special diet, and needs medication at specific times. Even her willingness to make scrambled eggs for him was such a thoughtful touch. I’m absolutely delighted with her service, and it’s clear she and Charlie bonded really well. I loved getting some photos at the end of the holiday showing how happy he was and how well they connected; the pictures truly melted my heart, definitely a 10/10 experience. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my pup, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with you again 🐾 💙”

“Nicole was absolutely welcoming and adorable with Frida. You can feel how much she loves dogs! We first met her in the parks and she knew how to approach Frida from the start. Then we walked together to her home, which was very reassuring for us. Frida's a rescued dog and she knew how to deal with her from the beginning: with patience and love. She sent us lots of photos and a daily update every day. She was also very kind to us and gave us tips about the city. We definitely recommend Nicole. Frida is going to miss her couch and all her cuddles so much!”

“Anna was absolutely lovely and I felt very comfortable leaving Harris with her. She is cheerful and professional, and took great care of him. She provided timely updates and kept in touch and was responsive. Harris of course seemed to love her Too! I would definitely recommend her if you need pet care!!”

“Absolutely brilliant! I'm confident that my dog had a great stay with Claire. My dog is quite a sensitive soul and Claire was clearly attuned to her and kept me updated with honest feedback about how she was doing. My dog also got on really well with Claire's dog and made a new pal. I'll definitely be making more bookings in the future. Thank you Claire!”
