Before Bailey boarded we met up with Jessica who took detailed notes of all Baileys likes and dislikes which I found very reassuring. I’d have no hesitation in using Jessica on a regular basis and I know Bailey would go back in a flash! Thank you Jessica.”

She had a lovely time, I got loads of updates and I would definitely recommend Avril.”

“Vaida took care of Charlie while I enjoyed a holiday in Greece, and it was my first time using Rover to find a pet sitter. I genuinely can't recommend her enough! I was so grateful to have Charlie looked after. Vaida was wonderful, she took great care of him, especially considering he's a senior dog, on a special diet, and needs medication at specific times. Even her willingness to make scrambled eggs for him was such a thoughtful touch. I’m absolutely delighted with her service, and it’s clear she and Charlie bonded really well. I loved getting some photos at the end of the holiday showing how happy he was and how well they connected; the pictures truly melted my heart, definitely a 10/10 experience. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my pup, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with you again 🐾 💙”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for a rescue dog, and also volunteering with dogs trust, which has both taught me patience, understanding, and compassion. I’m skilled at building trust, providing gentle guidance, and ensuring every dog feels safe, happy, and loved during walks, playtime, and daily care. As a nurse, I have a structured and busy schedule, but I make time for pets every day because I understand the importance of routine, attention, and care. Walking, feeding, and spending quality time with dogs fits naturally around my shifts, and my experience in nursing, being attentive, patient, and responsive to needs translates directly to caring for animals. Volunteering with dogs trust has also taught me about staying calm under pressure, and providing special care, which helps me ensure every dog I look after is safe, happy, and comfortable. When caring for pets, I ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness at all times. During walks, I maintain control on a leash, monitor their behaviour, and adapt the pace to each dog’s needs. I provide plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and positive reinforcement, while always keeping an eye on their well-being. If caring in a pet owner’s home, I follow their instructions carefully, feeding, water, and any special routines, while giving lots of attention, love, and companionship so the dog feels safe and happy in my care.

About: I’m a caring, reliable and responsible Cat lover who understands how important it is to feel confident leaving your Cat in someone else’s care. “Derek and his wife took great care of our dog. Asked all the right questions, know what they’re doing. Lots of pics and videos of the stay. Our Dog settled well with them. This was a tryout for a longer stays. Delighted. Many thanks!”

About: I had a family dog growing up, took care of stray dogs while living in Thailand, and shared a Springer spaniel for a couple of years. For 8 years, me and my husband lived with the wonderful, much loved Daisy, a reactive rescue staffie who needed a lot of love, attention and care. Daisy died in January 2023, and since then I've taken care of a friend's beautiful black lab for a couple of months. I did a Dog First Aid course with Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home in June 2023, and I offered dog boarding until the end of 2023. I was away in Australia this year - and took care of my sister's gorgeous Jack Russell cross Freddie. I'm now back in Edinburgh and ready to offer boarding to one dog at a time. I want owners to be able to relax and enjoy a holiday, knowing that their beloved pet is being cared for and lavished with attention, cuddles and love! Because Daisy was a reactive dog, and for her last few years, a senior dog, I'm confident to offer boarding to dogs who are reactive to other dogs, and to older dogs who might have additional needs. We live in a big upper Villa with an enclosed garden, so it's perfect place for dogs to relax and enjoy themselves. I work from home, so dog sitting fits in with my routine really well. Typically I work for an hour, then have a break. I love walking every day. I'm happy to get up early or stay up late if that's what your dog is used to - keeping their normal routine as much as possible. Your dog will be a bit stressed being away from you, so I want to do everything I can to help them relax and enjoy themselves. I live in a big place with a dog safe garden. Even though it's secure, I won't leave your dog alone in the garden, I'll always be there keeping an eye - or playing with them! I'm within 20 minutes walk of Blackford Hill, the Meadows and Holyrood Park, and there are a couple of quiet cemeteries nearby perfect for walks as well. I'm a short drive away from the beach and the hills, and I'll want to take your dog places they'll enjoy. I did the Dog First Aid course so I also feel confident about recognising when a dog needs extra help, and I'm a 5 minute drive away from an emergency vet hospital.
“Absolutely fantastic sitter. My pup has been so well looked after. Would not hesitate to use again and great to have the option for a day out in Edinburgh with my very happy pup nearby.”

“Taco had a great time with Daniel and back very happy from their day together. Daniel was great at communicating with me before and during having Taco. Thanks so much :)”

About: Ive had 2 dogs for the last 17yrs . Of which we had 2 litters from . I adored the whole journey from puppy to seniors all come with different challenges and demands but Sooo rewarding to have relationships and experiences together. Since my 2 dogs have passed find myself caring for friends and family's pets .. so it seems the natural order to board for those who dont have that facility. I love having the company of dogs in my home. Gets me out exploring our beautiful walks . I am at home most days although I have an art workshop close by so can often be found there. In which case the dogs come with me and have space to raom there securely too. So I am around for enjoying each other's company and there for treats cuddles and toilet breaks . I live in a home with both front and back garden both fully enclosed . Although I do like to make use of our many gorgeous walks locally so aren't stuck in one place all day. I can offer a crate for your dog to sleep in if required although happily have them loose if they prefer.
“Great. Lots of walks and Jacqueline was so flexible about pick up and drop off timer. Really friendly and Charlie seemed to be very happy staying at her house too. Definitely will use Jacqueline again.”

“Really happy to have found Isabel. She couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating and Sherlock took to her immediately. We met beforehand to make sure everybody was comfortable, which is always helpful and makes the handover process easier. And when my train was delayed, meaning I was going to be late to pick up, Isabel was kind enough to agree to alternative arrangements. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Isabel.”

“Tilly has been fantastic with Milo and he has become comfortable with her in such a short space of time. He is excited to see her when he goes to stay with her. She keeps me updated throughout the day and sends plenty of pictures of Milo relaxing or enjoying himself. Her communication is great. I feel Milo is in good hands when he stays with her.”

About: I have loved dogs forever, but got my first one almost 4 years ago. Max is the star of my family. What sets me apart is how much I love Max, by taking him for walks, going running with him and my husband even takes him to golf. Your dog will be well looked after and will immediately have a best doggy pal in Max. I can't work Tuesday's, but Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays work well for me. A normal 9-5 would work, but open to change too. Our house is on a corner so it has a high hedge. We have a front gate which is quite secure. Perfect for when dogs want to play!
“Lisa and Chris took great care of Dimma & she clearly had a lovely time with them! They took the time to meet up beforehand so that Dimma could be familiar with them, and communication was really good throughout. Won't hesitate to leave Dimma with them again!”

“I have no hesitation in recommending Heather to look after your pet. We met her with our dog, Waffle the day before and took a walk and he was immediately at ease with her. Drop off and pick up went very smoothly and Heather sent a couple of photos during the day which is always much appreciated. She is calm and assured and patient. Many thanks Heather - we would be very happy to book again!”

“Would highly recommend Jennifer. She took really great care of our dog and shared lovely updates throughout his stay. Will definitely contact again when we’re in the area.”

“Velveth was excellent with my dog Hugo; she asked lots of questions to make sure she had all the information to keep Hugo safe and happy which was very reassuring, and Hugo had such a good time that when we happened to walk along her street today he headed straight for her dog and whined when I walked past”

“We booked Allie to walk out dog whilst we went to the Scottish open golf for the day during our holidays, it was nice to meet up before day, it put our mind at rest... The day was made a little tricky due to the heat, Allie judged the situation & decided on little walks on the shade and a bit of company. We would recommend 👍🏼”

A delight to see how well my dogs are cared for and looked after on their return - I missed them!! Many thanks to both Derek and Angela for all their kindness and looking after my 'boys' so well again!!”
“Poppy had a great time with Harris, Maria and Molly. We received photos and videos every day and could see that she was being very well looked after. Harris and Maria were able to help us when we had to change our plans at short notice and look after Poppy for a few days more than originally planned. Will definitely use these guys again.”

“Amazing! Jennifer was great at communicating from start to finish, which made everything really easy and reassuring. I felt completely comfortable leaving Beau overnight, and he was safe, well looked after and happy to gets lots of cuddles. I'd definitely book again and highly recommend Jennifer!”

“This was our first ever time using home boarding for Kaiser and it went even better than we could have hoped. Kaiser had a better holiday than us! Anne provided him with a loving home and a stimulating social life. We know now that we have found the perfect home from home every time we go away and it’s guilt free as he has a ball!”

“Clara looked after my dog Chispa very well. Chispa is a rescue dog and can become anxious when left alone. Clara sent photos of Chispa at home and out for a walk where she looked very happy.”

“Emma was absolutely fantastic. She helped us out of a tight spot with a very last minute request. She was so kind and kept us updated very regularly. She clearly enjoyed Bussys company as did he enjoy Emma’s. He enjoyed regular walks and was spoiled with pupacinos too. We will definitely use Emma again.”

“Joanna is a Really nice person she took great care of my two yorkies she provided photos of them for the 2 days we were away would definitely ask if she would watch them again”

“Erin was amazing with our mini schnauzer Max! He definitely has separation anxiety when we leave him, and she kept us updated on how he was doing with photos and videos making us feel so comfortable leaving him. Would absolutely recommend her and Sam and would absolutely have them watch Max again!”

“Bluebell is quite particular about who gets let in to her inner circle and Avril and Clark are now definitely members. I was a bit anxious since she was diagnosed with diabetes earlier this year as she has to eat to get the insulin and she can be funny with new people and places but I needn’t have worried. She had a lovely time, I got loads of updates and I would definitely recommend Avril.”

“First time our 5 month old puppy has been away from us. Daniela is so lovely and created such a relaxing and welcoming environment that our puppy clearly loved. We are so happy to have found Daniela and we will certainly be using her again.”

“Kim is great seater and pet lover, treating your pet like her own. She provides updates with pictures and videos for peace of mind. Shanti looked happy and relaxed and I can tell she been spoilt. I definitely will use Kim again.”

“Absolutely brilliant! I'm confident that my dog had a great stay with Claire. My dog is quite a sensitive soul and Claire was clearly attuned to her and kept me updated with honest feedback about how she was doing. My dog also got on really well with Claire's dog and made a new pal. I'll definitely be making more bookings in the future. Thank you Claire!”

“Lauren was absolutely incredible with my dog, Levi. She sent so many photos, kept us up to date on their many fun adventures together, and made his stay as much fun (if not more) than our holiday! I would highly recommend Lauren and appreciated her flexibility with us through flight changes and delays.”

“Perfect 5 Star Accommodation, Perfect Couple, Perfect surroundings, Perfect Love and Care, Perfect for your Pooches :).... just so happens my Perfect didn't want to leave today. Thank you again to you both for looking after my beautiful Perfect xx.”
