“I had a great experience with Daniel taking care of my dog. He is very reliable, precise, and incredibly kind. He was always available, professional, and treated my dog with great care and attention. I felt completely at ease leaving my pet with him. I absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and responsible. Thank you again!”

“Maddie and Alex boarded our ten month old Doberman puppy again last weekend so we could attend a wedding. When Roxy arrived at their house her tail began to wag and she was eager to get into the house, and play with them both. She was happy to see them knowing she would be looked after. She went on lots of long walks in the countryside and was very well cared for. I am fussy who we leave Roxy with, but would highly recommend this young couple to look after your pet. They are knowledgeable about dogs and go out of their way to accommodate your requirements. Again would highly recommend. Thanks again from Julie and Mike.”

“Scarlett and her partner looked after our two dogs, Teddy and Benji, while we were away on holiday, and we couldn't have been happier with the care they provided. Before our trip, we arranged a meet and greet, and Teddy and Benji felt comfortable in their home and with both of them straight away. From that moment, I knew they would be in good hands and had no worries or concerns about leaving them. Throughout our holiday, Scarlett kept us updated with plenty of photos and messages, which was so reassuring and lovely to receive. It was clear that Teddy and Benji were having a fantastic time and were being well cared for. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of them. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend you and would happily book again in the future!”

“Would put more stars if we could ❤️ Alex and Chris looked after our pride and joy, 11 month old border collie just like we knew they would. Jota has had a great time, lots of pictures of him enjoying himself. We were immediately put at ease by a lovely couple and we did not worry once about if he would be well looked after because we knew he would. Lots of questions asked so they knew him and the family and they treated him like their own. Would highly recommend and Jota will be a frequent visitor in the future. Thank you 😊 for caring so much about him x”

“Aaliyah and Aaron were great with Dory. She had a great time, we got plenty of updates, video, pictures. I felt very relaxed leaving Dory with Aaliyah. We did a meet and greet, which I think is so important (a lot of people don’t offer that on here). It was lovely that Aaliyah and Aaron took the time to meet us before Dorys stay. 100% recommend :)”

“Albus was calm and comfortable staying with Inna. She is wonderful and caring, with lots of love and attention to give to Albus. Thank for making him feel at home, he is very much looking forward to his next visit.”

“Stanley was really happy and tired when he came home, Natalie gave us daily pictures and feedback everything was great. I would be very happy to have him stay over again :)”

“Laura and Matt took such great care of Zola during the 2 days she stayed with them. A few days before the boarding, we scheduled a meet and greet so they could get to know Zola’s daily routine and habits, and so Zola could become familiar with her surroundings. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Laura and Matt again. You can tell they genuinely love working with dogs and treat them with so much love, care, and attention. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our girl 😊”

“Harry and his partner looked after Lenny for nearly two weeks, and I couldn't have asked for better carers. They kept me updated throughout his stay with regular messages and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious from the updates that they genuinely care about animal welfare and treat every dog as if it were their own. Their home is spacious and welcoming, and it's surrounded by plenty of outdoor space for walks, which Lenny clearly enjoyed. From the photos, it was easy to see he was having a great time exploring. When I collected Lenny, he looked happy, relaxed, and in excellent health, which says everything about the level of care he received :-) I wouldn't hesitate to leave Lenny with Harry again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring dog sitters.”

“We left our beloved dog Blue for the first time ever with Walter and Angela. They were brilliant from start to finish. We felt instantly reassured that Blue was in good hands. I got photos and updates.. and when Storm was dropped off she was happy.. and as soon as Tracy's back was turned Storm jumped back into her car.. although I wasnt impressed that Storm was happy to go back off with Tracy it gave me comfort that she had clearly given her the care and love that she receives at home... have already rebooked for a longer stay.. I just hope I get a better greeting off Storm after my trip. Thank you, 🐾”

About: I have been around animals all my life, having had dogs and cats, as well as hamsters. I look after my sister's dog when I can, she is a yellow Labrador. This also includes house-sitting at their house in London. I also sometimes look after my aunt and uncle's dogs (Labradors and a Sheep Dog) at their house in the Lake District. I have been a member of Borrow my Doggy in the past to help look after dogs or take them for walks. I use Trusted House Sitters for when I want to go further away from home and have stayed at homes with multiple animals including dogs, cats and sheep. I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment due to accommodating limitations, but I plan on getting them when I am able to. Some of the pets I have looked after recently: - Bozo: he was a gentle giant and I miss him very much, I only knew him as an older dog but he was always up for a walk and would communicate when he'd had enough. - Winnie: an energetic young lab, loves walks and playing fetch. I've looked after her both in the Cotswolds and in London. - Juniper: a loving black lab, she's so affectionate and is always climbing on my lap. Not a huge fan of the rain which doesn't help when she lives in the Lake District! But she's always the first in the sea when at the beach. - Polly: an older girl who is more of a cat to be honest, she loves spreading out in the sun or in front of the fireplace. She's not as active as she used to be so prefers being left at home for longer walks, but will have a good run around the garden. - Willow: a French Bulldog. I spent three weeks looking after her while her owners were abroad. She’s the sweetest pup and was crazy for a tennis ball. We went on many adventures and walks around the countryside. I am a mature student completing my research degree and have plenty of time to fit pets into my routine. I’m always up early and I have my own car so am able to travel, and I am happy to take dogs in my car too. I am unable to take pets in my accommodation so am not able to host. However for owner’s homes I am always respectful of property, I clean up after myself and bring minimal belongings. I prefer clear instructions/guidance on what each pet needs and will always follow these.

About: As a genuine and friendly cat lover with 14 years of hands-on experience, I offer a level of care that comes from a deep, lifelong bond with my own companions, guiding them through every stage of life from playful kittenhood to their gentle senior years. This extensive experience has equipped me with the specialised skills needed to provide compassionate care for cats of all ages, including the extra patience required for kittens and the attentive, specialised monitoring often needed for senior pets. My home has become a trusted sanctuary for local neighbourhood cats who visit daily, proving my natural ability to earn the trust of even the most hesitant feline friends. Whether your cat needs gentle play, consistent routine, or thoughtful senior care, I treat every guest with the same love and devotion I have poured into my own cats for over a decade.
“Highly recommended friendly very professional looking after our cat. They took daily pictures and provided daily updates. We will always want them to look after our cat smokey when we are away. They understand pets and their needs as rizwana & her husband have pets too. They took care of smokey like he was their own thank you so much.”

“Attentive, pro-active and very communicative. Atlanta put us perfectly at ease taking good care of Alistair and asked all the right questions about his care. We will book again.”

“Lori did a meet and greet with my cats and I the week before I went abroad for a week. She was reliable with updates daily on WhatsApp with photos and a video. On my return the cat's were relaxed and exhibited their usual behaviour so, appeared happy. All good!”

“Becca was absolutely brilliant! This was the first time we had left our fur-boys at home for a holiday and they were superbly looked after. We had twice daily updates every day which were not only very cute but were also excellent for keeping our anxious minds at rest! 100% recommend ❤️❤️”

About: Hi! My name is Tegan, I am 21 years old and major cat lover (as well as all animals, big & small)! I have owned cats since I was 5 years old, an older kitty which I miss very much and I have helped raise 3 kittens with my mum in my old home (my oldest is currently 10 and my two sibling babies are almost 2!). Me and my partner have recently adopted a little tabby girl called Twiggles, who is now an adventure cat! I have experience in looking after cats, dogs, rodents, horses and birds! I used to walk dogs for my neighbours a few years ago which I loved so much! Although I love fussing over your fur (or feathered) babies, I respect their boundaries if shy. <3

“Perfect! This was Gareth's first time meeting Max in less than perfect circumstances and yet he managed to engage Max fully and I came back to a happy contented cat. When I say cat I mean a rambunctious bouncing kitten and he had managed him beautifully as he did my old and sedentary Garfield can't recommend highly enough”

About: Hi, I'm Emma! 👋 I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember and genuinely can't imagine life without them. Having grown up with dogs since I was eight, I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and little quirks, and that's exactly what makes them so special. When your dog stays with me, they'll be treated like part of the family. Whether they love long walks, playing with toys, exploring new places or simply curling up on the sofa for cuddles (Cuddles are the best) I'll make sure they feel safe, relaxed and loved while you're away. I know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, so I'll always keep you updated with regular photos and messages for complete peace of mind. I'm experienced with dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments, including those who may need a little extra patience or understanding. I'm confident handling dogs on walks and always take the time to get to know each dog's individual needs, ensuring they have a happy and enjoyable experience. My aim is simple: to make your dog feel as comfortable, cared for and loved as they do at home, so you can relax knowing they're in safe hands 🐶 I am currently available Mon - Sunday so I have very good availability and will always try and work around things unless I have pre booked plans. I have a fenced garden & live very close to some beautiful walking spots. I’m also happy to put doggies in their crate if required. Whatever suits the owner.

“Aaliyah looked after our miniature dachshund, Chorizo, for day care for the first time in preparation for a longer stay we have booked. She was very communicative beforehand and took on board my concerns (he has had IVDD so needs some extra care). She sent me several updates with pictures throughout the day and I could see how happy and settled Chorizo was in her home. He was happy to see us when we arrived to pick him up - but he didn't want to leave Aaliyah and her partner!! We are feeling very reassured ahead of him staying with her in July as we know he will be happy to go back and will be very well looked after.”

About: Hello Rover community! I am writing this while currently on a Housesit/dogsit for another site. I have had dogs in the family for 15 years and have spent the last year looking after our 4 legged friends on and off for family and friends. Just recently, I became a digital nomad (work from anywhere, anytime) so I am exploring things to do alongside my work to give me some balance - so far, dog sitting has been the answer! As a digital nomad (work from anywhere, anytime) as long as I get my hours done, I can work around the schedule you have established with your pupper. I am available pretty much everyday, but later part of the week and weekends are often better. I will follow your established routine. In this way, it's a seamless transition for your dog. I love a good walk in the park, local woods, or the like - and if your pupper does too, we will get on just fine. I won't hesitate to call you should that be needed, but equally, I am keen to give you a break if that's needed (or alternatively, send you lots of photos if your missing your pupper). Your companion will be in safe hands.

About: I am a training veterinary student with a lifelong passion for dogs and hands-on experience caring for them in a variety of settings. Growing up with dogs has given me a strong understanding of their behaviour, daily care needs, and the importance of patience and consistency when handling animals. Over the years, neighbours and family friends have regularly relied on me to visit, walk, feed, and care for their dogs while they were away, which has helped me develop responsibility, trustworthiness, and confidence working independently with animals. I have also cared for young puppies, including feeding, socialising, cleaning, and monitoring their wellbeing, which has strengthened my understanding of early development and animal welfare. Through both my personal experience and veterinary training, I have developed skills in animal handling, communication, observation, recognising signs of stress or illness, and providing attentive, compassionate care.

About: Hi, I am an experienced dog walker with years of caring for and walking dogs. I currently have a number of regular dogs that I take out weekly and my dogs come in all shapes and sizes and have their own personalities and needs. I am punctual, reliable, flexible, this may be because prior to dog walking I was a police officer for over 20 years. I am currently available for new customers and walks around the Preston area. I offer 1 to 1 or sometimes 2 to 1 walks, I prefer this as I believe that my dog can then have my full attention and it also allows me to interact fully with my dog. You will never see me getting tangled up in dog leads with loads of dogs trying to walk them. I also do not use crates when transporting my dogs. Feel free to contact me to ask any questions or to ask for references from my happy customers! Dog care is my passion and I do this full time and see my job as a privilege caring for dogs of all characters and lucky to know a number of walks and beautiful spots around local areas. I don't really see this as a job, it's so much fun! I have a number of longstanding customers who are delighted with my service. I tailor my individual approach to each customer as no 2 customers nor no 2 dogs are the same.

“Our dogs know Debbie and Andrew, as we have met them a few times before. We know how much they love dogs, so we had no hesitation in booking them to walk our 2 boys. Jamie was very happy to meet Debbie and Andrew again, he really enjoyed his walk with them. We have booked further walks, as we know our boys will be well looked after.”
About: I have 6 years of experience working with animals in veterinary clinics and rescue centers in Iran, and I also completed 2 weeks of work experience in a London vet. I love taking care of all kinds of pets and making sure they feel happy and safe. I can fit pet care into my daily routine and dedicate time for walks, feeding, play, and cuddles. I make sure pets get consistent attention, exercise, and love. I make sure every pet stays safe and comfortable in your home. I follow all instructions carefully and provide a clean, secure, and loving environment.
About: I am a Bioveterinary Science student at the University of Lancashire. I have had pets my whole life (cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits) & have lots of experience with cat-sitting. I even have my own cat (who I take on walks 🤣 I know I sound crazy but he enjoys it). I have also done some dog-sitting, and love taking them for long walks! I am currently balancing university (only 2 days a week) & a part-time jobs on fridays & the weekend. I tend to do one visit in the morning (usually between 8am-10am) and then in the evening (6pm-10pm). In previous pet-sits, I would only allow the cat out of the house in the morning and then it would let itself back in (using a cat flap) in the afternoon, which would lock behind it so that he was definitely there when I did my evening visit. Another cat is not allowed outside when I do my visits (due to lack of cat flap), but he doesn’t mind so much. I am very happy to adjust to any arrangements that may be needed to ensure the safety of your little pet!
About: I have been taking care of pets since 8 years now. Along with my husband, I moved countries, leaving our pets ( 2 dogs and 2 cats) behind with our loving family who currently take care of them! Making use of all this built up love and longing for our fur babies till we meet them again! x I am currently on mat leave and husband works 4 days which gives us plenty of time to board according to our availability and your needs. We have a fenced garden outside but the cats will be mostly inside our house which is secure and with me at home at all times, safety isn’t a problem.
About: I’m a final year student of engineering and since I was young I have had pets at home, so I have plenty of experience. One of the things I like the most is to go out for long walks during my free time, so I would love to be given the responsibility of taking care of a dog and to bring him with me at all time. I am really good at time management so I might always be able to find suitable time slots to take care of your dog when necessary. My flat is dog friendly. I live with other two students who are animal lovers. So the dog will be with people at every moment.

“My Storm went for a sleep over as an extended meet and greet to see if Tracy and her were a match.. I could tell instantly that Storm was comfortable.

They took him on long walks & comforted him when he was a little nervous the first day. She sent many updates throughout & great communication. Her dog Beemer & her cats are also very friendly with other dogs. Would 100% recommend her to dog sit!”

“Betsy had a fantastic afternoon/evening with Amy and her family. When I collected her, I didn’t think she wanted to leave. I would recommend Amy and will not hesitate about using Amy again.”
