Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our girl 😊”

About: Myself and my husband have grown up with dogs and have embraced them into our family life.Mainly large, male dogs some with challenging behaviour issues. We have recently lost our much loved dog in a tragic accident and consequently we have started to look after friends and family's pets and have really enjoyed this and want it to continue. We live in a nice, semi rural area with a multitude of walks on our doorstep. We have great flexibility as we are self employed and work close to home. We are early risers so would be able to take your dog out for a walk before work, and/or take your dog with us, or pop home regularly if required. We are a self employed couple with great flexibility. We have a fenced garden and yard with access to many local walks. We would treat your dog as if it was our own and maintain your boundaries and preferences around behaviour and routine.

About: - I have my own puppy, currently nearly 6 months old. - I care for my parents and neighbours dogs when needed. - Experience working with rescues, volunteering at local rescues since 12. - I worked in a zoo with all kinds of animals, lemurs and cotton top tamarins were my favourite. - Animal welfare is my priority. - I have a big fenced garden if required. - I do not have children, my home is me, my partner and my animals. - I don’t mind reactive/challenging animals. I currently work nights shifts on a consistent pattern of 3 shifts on, 3 shifts off. My boyfriend is home at night, most of the time there is only 1 hour alone. On my days off I enjoy exploring and walking. I have a set routine with my own animals to ensure their welfare needs are always met. I have worked in a zoo and on equine yards so I have experience checking boundaries are secure. I can follow specific instructions for individual pets as I understand how important routine and consistency can be for some.

“Maddie and Alex boarded our ten month old Doberman puppy again last weekend so we could attend a wedding. When Roxy arrived at their house her tail began to wag and she was eager to get into the house, and play with them both. She was happy to see them knowing she would be looked after. She went on lots of long walks in the countryside and was very well cared for. I am fussy who we leave Roxy with, but would highly recommend this young couple to look after your pet. They are knowledgeable about dogs and go out of their way to accommodate your requirements. Again would highly recommend. Thanks again from Julie and Mike.”

“Gizmo had his first stay with Aaliyah and he thoroughly enjoyed himself. Aaliyah is brilliant and sent us photos whilst he was there. Would highly recommend and we have already booked more stays for him with her. Thanks again Aaliyah”

About: I provide calm, patient, and attentive care, always respecting each cat’s personality and routine. Whether your cat loves interactive play, gentle affection, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe and comfortable in their own home. I’m confident with feeding schedules, keeping litter areas clean, and giving lots of care and attention. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos, so you can feel at ease while you’re away. Your cat will be treated like family, and I’ll make sure they get the same level of care and kindness I’ve always given my own pets.
About: I have been around animals all my life, having had dogs and cats, as well as hamsters. I look after my sister's dog when I can, she is a yellow Labrador. This also includes house-sitting at their house in London. I also sometimes look after my aunt and uncle's dogs (Labradors and a Sheep Dog) at their house in the Lake District. I have been a member of Borrow my Doggy in the past to help look after dogs or take them for walks. I use Trusted House Sitters for when I want to go further away from home and have stayed at homes with multiple animals including dogs, cats and sheep. I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment due to accommodating limitations, but I plan on getting them when I am able to. Some of the pets I have looked after recently: - Bozo: he was a gentle giant and I miss him very much, I only knew him as an older dog but he was always up for a walk and would communicate when he'd had enough. - Winnie: an energetic young lab, loves walks and playing fetch. I've looked after her both in the Cotswolds and in London. - Juniper: a loving black lab, she's so affectionate and is always climbing on my lap. Not a huge fan of the rain which doesn't help when she lives in the Lake District! But she's always the first in the sea when at the beach. - Polly: an older girl who is more of a cat to be honest, she loves spreading out in the sun or in front of the fireplace. She's not as active as she used to be so prefers being left at home for longer walks, but will have a good run around the garden. - Willow: a French Bulldog. I spent three weeks looking after her while her owners were abroad. She’s the sweetest pup and was crazy for a tennis ball. We went on many adventures and walks around the countryside. I work in Education and am also a student. I am often up early in the morning and would love to fit in some visits around work. I have flexible working and work from home benefits so I can work from your home with plenty of breaks, or do a half day at home and half at work. My weekends and evenings are mostly free so plenty of time then too. I am unable to take pets in my accommodation so am not able to host. However for owner’s homes I am always respectful of property, I clean up after myself and bring minimal belongings. I like clear instructions/guidance on what each pet needs and will always follow these.

“Atlanta is great, just a drop in visit to feed our cat but so much more than that as she spends time with her giving her the TLC she misses when we aren’t there. Highly recommend and we will definitely ask her again, thankyou Atlanta”

“Amy has been wonderful. Communication was very easy, she came to the house to meet Smokey before we made a decision and they got on very well. We got a daily update and on arrival Smokey was very happy and calm. Would definitely recommend and use again! Thank you, Amy 🥰”

“Looked after my cat Yuki with drop-in visits while I was away. Rizwana was a lifesaver and always gave good updates with pictures. Rizwana played with her too so that she wasn't lonely or as stressed. I will definitely ask Rizwana for her appreciated help again!”

At parties, I'm the one you can find in the corner fawning over the furry friend of the house! I have a 16-year-old cat of my own called Pepsi, who I adore. He has kidney disease, so I’m very used to caring for a senior cat and administering both oral and topical medication (though I don’t offer injections).

“Holly is an absolute natural with animals ..our Arthur took to her immediately 😂 She has been so caring and very playful with Arthur, he has learnt new tricks! Also his hair appears more shiny on our return..he's been brushed a lot which is great...he loves that! All in all we would 100 percent recommend Holly and hope she returns time again 👏. ”

“Ahmed took amazing care of my cat. He updated me with videos and ensured she was well cared for. He gave her space when needed. My cat is a very anxious cat but through the videos provided and how I saw her when I came to pick her up, you could tell she was thriving in a good environment. Will 100% ask and trust Ahmed to look after my pets in the future again!”

About: Hello! My name is Inna. I recently moved to the UK and would love to spend more time with dogs again. At the moment, I don’t have my own dog, but I really miss the daily joy and energy they bring. That’s why I’m here on Rover — to walk, play, and care for your furry friends as if they were my own. I live in a quiet, comfortable home with a safe garden, perfect for dogs to relax and feel secure. I enjoy taking dogs on calm walks, giving them attention, cuddles, and playtime. Whether your dog needs a short walk, a friendly daytime companion, or a warm home for the night — I’ll be happy to help! 🐶💕 Pet care fits naturally into my daily life. I currently have a flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home. I'm available for walks and drop-in visits in the mornings, afternoons, and early evenings. I offer flexible pet care depending on your needs: – I can visit your home to feed, check on, or spend time with your pet. – I'm happy to take dogs out for walks in parks or quiet streets. – I can also host small or calm dogs in my home if you're away on holiday.
About: Hi, I'm Emma! 👋 I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember and genuinely can't imagine life without them. Having grown up with dogs since I was eight, I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and little quirks, and that's exactly what makes them so special. When your dog stays with me, they'll be treated like part of the family. Whether they love long walks, playing with toys, exploring new places or simply curling up on the sofa for cuddles (Cuddles are the best) I'll make sure they feel safe, relaxed and loved while you're away. I know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, so I'll always keep you updated with regular photos and messages for complete peace of mind. I'm experienced with dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments, including those who may need a little extra patience or understanding. I'm confident handling dogs on walks and always take the time to get to know each dog's individual needs, ensuring they have a happy and enjoyable experience. My aim is simple: to make your dog feel as comfortable, cared for and loved as they do at home, so you can relax knowing they're in safe hands 🐶 I am currently available Mon - Sunday so I have very good availability and will always try and work around things unless I have pre booked plans. I have a fenced garden & live very close to some beautiful walking spots. I’m also happy to put doggies in their crate if required. Whatever suits the owner.

About: Caring for pets isn’t just something I do—it’s who I am. I have hands-on experience with small to medium dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need patience and gentle care. I’m especially attentive to each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level, because I believe great pet care is never one-size-fits-all. I have experience administering basic medications, following special dietary needs, and recognising early signs of stress or illness. Safety is always my top priority, whether that means careful leash handling, secure environments, or close supervision during playtime. I also understand how hard it can be to leave your pet behind, so I provide regular updates, photos, and honest communication to give owners complete peace of mind. I also have two welcoming and playful resident 5 year old Shih Tzu's Teddy and Dolly who love to meet new friends. I’m retired, which means I’m home full-time and able to give your dog constant attention and companionship throughout their stay. I only board one dog at a time (unless pets are from the same household), so your dog will never be overwhelmed and will receive truly personalised care. This quiet, low-stress environment is perfect for dogs who enjoy one-on-one attention, seniors, or pups who don’t do well in busy boarding settings. Your dog will be treated like family and cared for as if they were my own. I have a fully fenced, secure garden where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, play, and fresh air throughout the day. I’m also certified in Ofqual Level 3 Home Boarding, which means I meet high standards for safety, welfare, and professional pet care. This training allows me to provide knowledgeable, responsible care in a calm home environment, giving pet parents confidence that their dog is in experienced and capable hands.

About: I am a training veterinary student with a lifelong passion for dogs and hands-on experience caring for them in a variety of settings. Growing up with dogs has given me a strong understanding of their behaviour, daily care needs, and the importance of patience and consistency when handling animals. Over the years, neighbours and family friends have regularly relied on me to visit, walk, feed, and care for their dogs while they were away, which has helped me develop responsibility, trustworthiness, and confidence working independently with animals. I have also cared for young puppies, including feeding, socialising, cleaning, and monitoring their wellbeing, which has strengthened my understanding of early development and animal welfare. Through both my personal experience and veterinary training, I have developed skills in animal handling, communication, observation, recognising signs of stress or illness, and providing attentive, compassionate care.
“Matt took excellent care of my retriever. Came over for a meet greet and my boy instantly fell in love! Fantastic communication throughout with lots of updates as well as lots of questions to get to know exactly how to care for Spencer.”

“Simone is truly a five star dog walker and sitter. She is the best in what she do and Leo and we love her. She is part of family for us and we recommend her to anyone who like to have VIP service.”

About: I've been caring for dogs for nearly 4 years, and I really enjoy it! I have experience with beagles (anyone who's owned one understands they're a bit unique, which makes it fun) and also with dogs that get anxious when left alone. I love helping them feel safe and loved. I'm currently enjoying my summer break as a university student, which means I have plenty of free time most days, including weekends and evenings. I have experience caring for multiple dogs, including larger breeds that require extra attention. I am DBS-checked, ensuring your dog(s) will be in safe and responsible hands. You can trust that I will give your pets the dedicated care and attention they deserve, whether it's daily walks, playtime, or administering any special care they might need.

“Our dogs know Debbie and Andrew, as we have met them a few times before. We know how much they love dogs, so we had no hesitation in booking them to walk our 2 boys. Jamie was very happy to meet Debbie and Andrew again, he really enjoyed his walk with them. We have booked further walks, as we know our boys will be well looked after.”
About: I am a Bioveterinary Science student at the University of Lancashire. I love looking after my mums Chihuahua Winnie (she’s a sweetheart!). I LOVE all animals, and have lots of experience cat-sitting so I’ve decided to take up dog-sitting too! I am currently balancing university (only 2 days a week) & 2 other part-time jobs on fridays & the weekend. I tend to do one visit in the morning (usually between 8am-10am) and then in the evening (6pm-10pm). In previous pet-sits, I would only allow the cat out of the house in the morning and then it would let itself back in (using a cat flap) in the afternoon, which would lock behind it so that he was definitely there when I did my evening visit. Another cat is not allowed outside when I do my visits (due to lack of cat flap), but he doesn’t mind so much. I am very happy to adjust to any arrangements that may be needed to ensure the safety of your little pet!

About: I have been taking care of pets since 8 years now. Along with my husband, I moved countries, leaving our pets ( 2 dogs and 2 cats) behind with our loving family who currently take care of them! Making use of all this built up love and longing for our fur babies till we meet them again! x I am currently on mat leave and husband works 4 days which gives us plenty of time to board according to our availability and your needs. We have a fenced garden outside but the cats will be mostly inside our house which is secure and with me at home at all times, safety isn’t a problem.
About: I have had years of experience helping family and friends out with their pets. I would always jump at the chance to look after any dogs & cats if the opportunity was given to me. Weekends, I’m free all day and night to take care of your pets, go for walks, check ins or even over night stays within your homes. I’m currently working full time, however I’m flexible to work within the evenings Monday- Friday to do evening walks or check ins or over night stays. During walks I respect the owners wishes, so I'm happy to keep them on lead if someone isn't confident about them being let off, and if I do let dogs off it's only in an open but secure park / grass area. When taking care of your loving pets, I will always take lots of pictures and videos to give owners daily updates on how they're settling in and what they might have been up to that day - Dogs they've been socialising with, walks they've had and any other updates in general.
About: I’m a final year student of engineering and since I was young I have had pets at home, so I have plenty of experience. One of the things I like the most is to go out for long walks during my free time, so I would love to be given the responsibility of taking care of a dog and to bring him with me at all time. I am really good at time management so I might always be able to find suitable time slots to take care of your dog when necessary. My flat is dog friendly. I live with other two students who are animal lovers. So the dog will be with people at every moment.

About: We completed a holistic canine care course giving us essential knowledge on both the physical and psychological needs of dogs. We have been trained on nutrition including homemade healthy meals and treats, tailored exercice plans, crafting toys, and relaxation techniques including massages and acupressure. Our focus is on wellbeing, all dogs are different and have different needs, likes and dislikes; each stay is tailored to your furry companions. We want them to have at least as much of a good time as you on your holiday! And of course, we will send lots of photos 🐾 We both work from home which allows us to look after dogs full time, let them out as much as they need to, and to make sure all their needs are met. We walk the dogs before starting our day, and again as soon as we finished work. At the weekends, when possible, we go on more adventurous walks. We love long, muddy walks with lots of ball throwing, swimming, hunting and playing, but also nice and relaxed woodland strolls with a bit of a stream. With access to green space on our doorstep, we are spoilt for adventures to go on, and for more daring adventurers, weekend trips to Wales and The Lakes are on the cards for hikes, lake swimming and soaking up the beautiful English countryside. All finished off with a dog massage and aromatherapy treatment to calm and relax your special, furry companion. Our dogs have free rein of the house and back garden, which is closed in. Two smoke alarms are fitted, one on each floor. The front garden is open so they can have access to it but only supervised and on a long training lead. We don't get much passing traffic, as we are located on a cul-de-sac, but we can't be too careful. If your dog needs some alone time, the internal doors will allow us to divide the house in 4 living areas where they will still have access to all comfort (beds, toys, water, food, etc.) and we will spend as much positive time with them as possible with until they are comfortable. Dogs are allowed on all three sofas, on the two bean bags, in the spare room double bed, and we have 2 medium sized dog beds and 3 dog mats. We would recommend bringing your dog’s bed for their own comfort but either way, slightly territorial dogs will be spoilt for choice of a spot to claim their own for the duration of their stay. Our Cookie is a good host and respects other dogs boundaries.

“Laura and Matt took such great care of Zola during the 2 days she stayed with them. A few days before the boarding, we scheduled a meet and greet so they could get to know Zola’s daily routine and habits, and so Zola could become familiar with her surroundings. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Laura and Matt again. You can tell they genuinely love working with dogs and treat them with so much love, care, and attention. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our girl 😊”

About: Previously, I worked in kennels for 2 years and a dog boarders for another 2 so I have experience dealing with almost all breeds. I also come from a family of dog boarders so have grown up caring for dogs all my life. I am equipped at administering medication if needed and also have no dogs of my own at the minute so if you have a dog that may not always get on with others then that’s not a problem. I’m currently working part time 3 days a week so Friday-Monday I am free to take care of your lovely pooches. I am happy to pop in during the day to feed/let them out to toilet or take them on a nice walk and take care of them overnight. I have a fenced garden and no dogs of my own at the minute so we have a really safe and secure area. I also have a lot of fields and green/pond areas a 5 minute walk from my home so it’s a really great area for them to stay/be walked.

“My Storm went for a sleep over as an extended meet and greet to see if Tracy and her were a match.. I could tell instantly that Storm was comfortable. I got photos and updates.. and when Storm was dropped off she was happy.. and as soon as Tracy's back was turned Storm jumped back into her car.. although I wasnt impressed that Storm was happy to go back off with Tracy it gave me comfort that she had clearly given her the care and love that she receives at home... have already rebooked for a longer stay.. I just hope I get a better greeting off Storm after my trip. Thank you, 🐾”

“Puck had a fantastic stay with Amy, her family and Macy dog. We got regular updates and some fantastic photos showing Puck up to his usual antics. That’s how we knew he was settled and having fun. Macy is gorgeous too, Puck’s new ? We’d definitely recommend Amy for stay overs, she offers a very caring and professional service.”
