About: I honestly think I love dogs more than life itself. I can’t walk past a dog without stopping for a chat and a cuddle. To me, a walk isn’t really a walk unless I’ve met a few waggy tails along the way! We recently lost our beautiful Border Collie, Toby, at the age of 13½. He was truly my world. It’s still painful to talk about him, but I know we gave him the happiest life imaginable. I even flew him home from Australia because he was part of the family and there was never any question of leaving him behind. My partner and I have two young children (aged 3½ and 1), and there’s a huge void in our home without Toby. About: Like I mentioned in previous paragraphs, I've had cats since the day i came home from the hospital. My Mum had a ginger cat when i was born that used to sleep in my cot with me. I hate cat slander, people often call them uncaring or rude, that's not true. They just have more boundaries than dogs! My cats were incredibly caring to me and my family because we had earnt their respect (probably because they knew we were the only way for them to get food but hey ho). I know that there isn't much of a chance of me earning your feline's respect unless it's one of those rare occurrences where they just love everybody! But i can try my hardest to make them feel comfortable around me.

About: I have been around animals all my life, having had dogs and cats, as well as hamsters. I look after my sister's dog when I can, she is a yellow Labrador. This also includes house-sitting at their house in London. I also sometimes look after my aunt and uncle's dogs (Labradors and a Sheep Dog) at their house in the Lake District. I have been a member of Borrow my Doggy in the past to help look after dogs or take them for walks. I use Trusted House Sitters for when I want to go further away from home and have stayed at homes with multiple animals including dogs, cats and sheep. I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment due to accommodating limitations, but I plan on getting them when I am able to. Some of the pets I have looked after recently: - Bozo: he was a gentle giant and I miss him very much, I only knew him as an older dog but he was always up for a walk and would communicate when he'd had enough. - Winnie: an energetic young lab, loves walks and playing fetch. I've looked after her both in the Cotswolds and in London. - Juniper: a loving black lab, she's so affectionate and is always climbing on my lap. Not a huge fan of the rain which doesn't help when she lives in the Lake District! But she's always the first in the sea when at the beach. - Polly: an older girl who is more of a cat to be honest, she loves spreading out in the sun or in front of the fireplace. She's not as active as she used to be so prefers being left at home for longer walks, but will have a good run around the garden. - Willow: a French Bulldog. I spent three weeks looking after her while her owners were abroad. She’s the sweetest pup and was crazy for a tennis ball. We went on many adventures and walks around the countryside. I am a mature student completing my research degree and have plenty of time to fit pets into my routine. I’m always up early and I have my own car so am able to travel, and I am happy to take dogs in my car too. I am unable to take pets in my accommodation so am not able to host. However for owner’s homes I am always respectful of property, I clean up after myself and bring minimal belongings. I prefer clear instructions/guidance on what each pet needs and will always follow these.

About: Hiya! I’m Holly and I have just finalised my degree in Bioveterinary Science (First-Class woooo!). I have had all kinds of pets my whole life, including cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish and rabbits. I LOVE all kinds of animals, big or small!
