About: I am retired and looking to share my many years of dog ownership after losing my best friend recently. Missing the walks and the hugs and those special times that only dogs can give. Nice big home set in a countryside location and no other pets/children or other distractions. Experience with border collies, senior care and nervous dogs. I have recently retired and am able to accommodate my time to the care of dogs. If I have committed to looking after your dog(s) they will receive full care and attention throughout their stay. I live in a large house with a paddock for excercise at home and access to many country walks. I have a car and am familiar with transporting dogs if allowed for days out at the beach etc. Your dog would reside in the home with me and my husband, Chris. About: I have had and cared for 8 dogs over the years and have also spent a lot of time looking after my neighbours’ and friends’ dogs. This has given me experience with dogs of different breeds, ages, and personalities. Long weekends can work best with Friday - Tuesday the best time to book. Please get in touch if you are interested! We will have more scope to look after any dogs during the School holidays as my partner is a teacher but please get in touch about specific dates! I work from home 3 days a week. Typically these days are Monday, Tuesday & Friday. We are more than happy to look after your little, or large, friend for an extended weekend and for longer bookings this can be flexible. The day would start with a long walk either around Cureden park or other surrounding paths and fields for around 30 minutes- 1 hour. With regular toilet breaks throughout the day, we will always ensure our dog is comfortable and is staying in their home away from home. Once my partner comes home from work, we would typically then walk together for around 1 hour in the late afternoon. Again, this is whatever the weather! We are equipped with boots and waterproofs so this doesn’t bother us. At the weekend, your dog will be our main priority and a big long walk (if they are able!) will be the main event of the day. We have a very spacious home with a large fenced garden. This gives your pet the chance to explore throughout the day! We usually look after our family’s dogs, a cockapoo and a Labrador and they have lots of space to run around) We have looked after them at the same time before so would have no issue in looking after 2 dogs (3 would be a struggle!) We don’t allow dogs on the furniture but they are allowed upstairs if they want to explore. We are also happy for them to be in any room. In the evening, after a nice long walk, we love nothing more than settling down to watch some tv, maybe with a fire on, and some snuggles on the floor with your furry friend. During the night, your dog would be left in the kitchen, with any tempting food safely out of harms way!). All doors would be closed but we don’t mind if they wander upstairs and want to lie on the carpet (we find our dogs generally do). If you would prefer your dog to be kept in its crate this is absolutely fine and we will go with whatever routine has worked best for you. This is your dogs home away from home, so making them & yourself comfortable will be our number 1 priority!

She's not as active as she used to be so prefers being left at home for longer walks, but will have a good run around the garden. - Willow: a French Bulldog. I spent three weeks looking after her while her owners were abroad. She’s the sweetest pup and was crazy for a tennis ball. We went on many adventures and walks around the countryside. I work in Education and am also a student. I am often up early in the morning and would love to fit in some visits around work. I have flexible working and work from home benefits so I can work from your home with plenty of breaks, or do a half day at home and half at work. My weekends and evenings are mostly free so plenty of time then too. I am unable to take pets in my accommodation so am not able to host. However for owner’s homes I am always respectful of property, I clean up after myself and bring minimal belongings. I like clear instructions/guidance on what each pet needs and will always follow these.

About: Hello Rover community! I am writing this while currently on a Housesit/dogsit for another site. I have had dogs in the family for 15 years and have spent the last year looking after our 4 legged friends on and off for family and friends. Just recently, I became a digital nomad (work from anywhere, anytime) so I am exploring things to do alongside my work to give me some balance - so far, dog sitting has been the answer! As a digital nomad (work from anywhere, anytime) as long as I get my hours done, I can work around the schedule you have established with your pupper. I am available pretty much everyday, but later part of the week and weekends are often better. I will follow your established routine. In this way, it's a seamless transition for your dog. I love a good walk in the park, local woods, or the like - and if your pupper does too, we will get on just fine. I won't hesitate to call you should that be needed, but equally, I am keen to give you a break if that's needed (or alternatively, send you lots of photos if your missing your pupper). I work in Education and am also a student. I am often up early in the morning and would love to fit in some visits around work. I have flexible working and work from home benefits so I can work from your home with plenty of breaks, or do a half day at home and half at work. My weekends and evenings are mostly free so plenty of time then too. I am unable to take pets in my accommodation so am not able to host. However for owner’s homes I am always respectful of property, I clean up after myself and bring minimal belongings. About: I am a Bioveterinary Science student at the University of Lancashire. I love looking after my mums Chihuahua Winnie (she’s a sweetheart!). I LOVE all animals, and have lots of experience cat-sitting so I’ve decided to take up dog-sitting too! I am currently balancing university (only 2 days a week) & 2 other part-time jobs on fridays & the weekend. I tend to do one visit in the morning (usually between 8am-10am) and then in the evening (6pm-10pm). In previous pet-sits, I would only allow the cat out of the house in the morning and then it would let itself back in (using a cat flap) in the afternoon, which would lock behind it so that he was definitely there when I did my evening visit. Another cat is not allowed outside when I do my visits (due to lack of cat flap), but he doesn’t mind so much. I am very happy to adjust to any arrangements that may be needed to ensure the safety of your little pet!

About: For the last 5 years, my partner and I have been crazy about dogs. We’re usually the first point of call to look after the dogs in our family and friendship groups! We cannot wait to have a dog of our own but with a wedding to pay for (hence the side hustle!) we do not have the time or money for full time just yet. We have a very spacious home with a large fenced garden. Your furry friend will be looked after like it was our own. Lots of walks, cuddles (but not on the sofa :D) and a few treats here and there. Living on the doorstep of Cureden Valley park gives us great access to amazing dog walks, no matter the weather! I work from home 3 days a week, but this can be flexible for longer bookings. Long weekends can work best with Friday - Tuesday the best time to book. Please get in touch if you are interested! We will have more scope to look after any dogs during the School holidays as my partner is a teacher but please get in touch about specific dates! I work from home 3 days a week. Typically these days are Monday, Tuesday & Friday. We are more than happy to look after your little, or large, friend for an extended weekend and for longer bookings this can be flexible. The day would start with a long walk either around Cureden park or other surrounding paths and fields for around 30 minutes- 1 hour. With regular toilet breaks throughout the day, we will always ensure our dog is comfortable and is staying in their home away from home. Once my partner comes home from work, we would typically then walk together for around 1 hour in the late afternoon. Again, this is whatever the weather! We are equipped with boots and waterproofs so this doesn’t bother us. At the weekend, your dog will be our main priority and a big long walk (if they are able!) will be the main event of the day. We have a very spacious home with a large fenced garden. This gives your pet the chance to explore throughout the day! We usually look after our family’s dogs, a cockapoo and a Labrador and they have lots of space to run around) We have looked after them at the same time before so would have no issue in looking after 2 dogs (3 would be a struggle!) We don’t allow dogs on the furniture but they are allowed upstairs if they want to explore. We are also happy for them to be in any room. In the evening, after a nice long walk, we love nothing more than settling down to watch some tv, maybe with a fire on, and some snuggles on the floor with your furry friend. During the night, your dog would be left in the kitchen, with any tempting food safely out of harms way!). All doors would be closed but we don’t mind if they wander upstairs and want to lie on the carpet (we find our dogs generally do). If you would prefer your dog to be kept in its crate this is absolutely fine and we will go with whatever routine has worked best for you. This is your dogs home away from home, so making them & yourself comfortable will be our number 1 priority!
