“Mary and her family were absolutely great with Kylo. Nothing was a problem. Kept me updated on how he was doing and sent me some great pictures. Really put my mind at rest. They said they would have him back anytime which is a bonus. I will definitely be using Mary's services again. Thank you. Xx”

“Jock and Eileen had a great overnight stay with Kirsty. She put them at ease straight away and they were chilled and relaxed the whole time, enjoying the cuddles and stretching out on the huge sofa. Kirsty took excellent care of them and we will definitely book Kirsty again in the future. Thank you Kirsty :)”

“Judith was amazing. At very short notice looked after Amber. Gave regular updates. Amber seemed to think it was her home from home. I think she had a great time. We will definitely be using Judith again.”

Every dog is treated like part of our family, and we will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax whilst you’re away. Therefore, if caring for your dog we would ensure someone would be able to care for them every day. I have a fenced garden with plenty space for your dog to run around and play with our own dog. If necessary or preferred our own dog was crate trained and slept in a crate until very recently. Any visits to check on dogs will be done at times best suited to individual dogs and walks/play time will always be p provided. We have done this regularly for dogs in our own families.

I am retired with no dependents, this allows me flexibility to suit any requirements A dog will easily fit into my daily routine with regular walks, playtime and cuddles no matter what the weather, I do like to keep fit with walking and swimming. My availability during July and August is limited due to prior commitments. please message me with any queries. From September I will be available on a daily basis I live in a first floor flat that is secure and pet friendly I ensure a set routine for toileting with safety in mind at all times. There is access to the allotments close by for a short walk and no traffic at night. I have had several dogs staying with me over the last 2 years since moving here.
“Just a short stay for Jack, but Ros and Charles were very accommodating as always. Jack was pleased to be staying with them again, and very relaxed when we left him. They are both very kind, and I recommend them highly for your dogs!”

“Cocoa had another fantastic stay with Erin and Alex. They are both so lovely and accommodating, and kept us updated with photos and updates. Cocoa had the best mini holiday. Thanks again guys :)”

“Anna and her husband looked after Koko over the weekend and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. They were very responsive from the start and kept us updated throughout his stay with messages, photos, and videos, which gave us real peace of mind. They were both incredibly supportive and helpful, and it was clear that Koko was well cared for and comfortable. I truly think he really enjoyed his little staycation with them! We would absolutely recommend Anna and her husband and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.”

“Yvonne and David are so lovely, we felt from the meet & greet that our boys would be well looked after, and they definitely were! They dealt with Kenny's anxiety and Geoff's general grumpiness so well, we weren't ever worried about them. We also got great pics and videos, absolutely going to rebook.”

“Jack was really settled & happy during his stay with Andrew. Lots of lovely long walks, and a fair few cuddles on the sofa. They got on like a house on fire, and became firm friends, even though it was only a short stay. Jack didn't even look up when I left after dropping him off... :-( Andrew kept me updated with what they were up to & sent some pictures, which was great. I would have no hesitation in recommending Andrew - he takes time to understand a dog's quirks & foibles, and tailors his plans accordingly. Jack had such a great time that when I went to pick him up, I had to literally drag him to the door!!”

“We booked Finn in with Larissa as a last minute emergency booking, as have been extremely satisfied! Our dog bounced into their lives! We were kept mostly updated with photo's and comments about his time! When we picked him up he seemed very content, no signs of stress at all! Finn was even given a toy as a parting gift! Finn has been extremely well looked after and we will come back again!”

“Gemma was brilliant, very knowledgeable and friendly. Teddy settled no problem, and Gemma sent me photos and messages. Gemma took Teddy to Jesmond Dene, so home from home, Teddy getting spoilt as usual! Have no quibbles in booking Gemma again”

“Our Clive was sad to leave! He had the best time and I felt really at ease meeting beforehand for our first rover experience. Clive needs a lot of training and hands on as he’s currently in adolescence and can be very mischievous but Jessica was brilliant with him. Regular updates were really helpful to keep my mind at ease during the stay. Thank you both so much ♥️”

“Rachel and her partner looked after our Cockapoo for the day when we had a family event to attend. We were really nervous to leave her as she can be a little timid at times around other dogs. But our minds were put at ease as soon as I met them for the meet and greet. And it was great to have regular updates throughout the day. We would highly recommend 😊”

“Bianka and her family were absolutely brilliant dog sitters for benji. He loved them all right from the off and charged into the house as though he had known them his entire life. He clearly had a lovely time and we really appreciated the updated. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again or to recommend Bianka”

“Lauren was absolutely amazing with Wilf, it is the first time we have left him with him only being 4 months old but he could not of been in better hands. She sent us regular updates and he had an absolute blast. Lauren is just the loveliest person and we have already booked her again for when we go on holiday, I can not recommend her enough ❤️”

“Zoe is fantastic, very kind and patient and helped us out at short notice. Ozzy loved her from the moment he met her and Zoe put our minds at rest that Oz was being well looked after while we were away dealing with a family emergency. I can't thank Zoe enough!”

“This was my first time booking with Julie, and she did an amazing job looking after my dog Kody. He’s a bit of a character and can be stubborn, but Julie was understanding and clearly experienced with dogs. Julie kept me updated while I was away, and I could tell Kody was comfortable and happy with her. I came home to a relaxed, well-looked-after, very content pup! Thanks Julie! :)”

“So pleased to have found Anne-Marie. Trustworthy and great with our cat Ian. I felt fully confident that he would be okay despite it being the first time for us to be away. Anne-Marie is professional and caring in her approach. Lovely pics/updates during her visits and Ian was on good form on our return. Would definitely recommend and book again.”

“Craig was lovely. Very friendly and put us at ease. His communication was excellent, he took great care of our home and our cats. We were given great daily updates with photos. He tried his hardest and made progress with our 'challenging cat!' We hope to use Craig's services again in the near future!”

“Absolutely brilliant. I didn't have to worry at all whilst we were away, Clara did a fantastic job! The cats didn't show any signs of stress whilst we were gone, and when we came back they were healthy and happy. About: I have a beautiful Labrador called Rex and my whole family have dogs! Love getting out on walks and would treat any dog as part of the family. I currently own a gorgeous black Labrador called Rex I’m free most weekends for drop in visits or evening visits, perfect if your out for the day! I can do multiple check ins or walks when your out My lab is sometimes lead reactive when meeting new dogs so I am very limited to caring for dogs when I have Rex, unless we arrange to meet and the dogs got used to each other over time I do work full time Monday-Friday, so can discuss daily arrangements to suit you. I have a fenced yard and fenced garden to keep dogs safe. I live local to a park for some lovely walks. Happy for them to be a part of the family when staying with me and can sleep where ever they’re comfortable!

“Katie was absolutely amazing, and I'll definitely be recommending her and booking her again. Her communication was excellent throughout. She provided detailed Rover cards and always kept me up to date with any changes or concerns. She took fantastic care of Cleo and made me feel completely comfortable leaving her in Katie's care. Even though Cleo is a very shy cat, Katie was patient enough to gain her trust, and within a few days she was able to pet and play with her. When Cleo managed to get out through an upstairs window, Katie handled the situation calmly and kept me updated throughout. She followed the plan we agreed to make sure Cleo could get back inside safely, and I really appreciated how reassuring and proactive she was. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Katie to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative pet sitter.”

About: Been around dogs most of my life:) Cared for a range including Golden retrievers, Cavapoos, Huskies, Malamutes, Border Collies, Daschunds, Pugs & Frenchies. I’ve moved over from Jersey and miss having doggy company! Love the chance to care for and spoil some pups again! I can work from home and my hours are flexible to work around the pups needs when doing so! Plus I already require daily walks myself 😆 I’m afraid I can’t commit to open ended repeat walks/visits as availability fluctuates so requests would require an end date. Also for bookings much further away I may need to add a couple quid to the rate just to cover my travel (as Rover takes a fair bit!) but that can be discussed on a case by case basis :) I treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or staying at your home, I’ll stick to their usual routine, give them plenty of attention, and make sure they’re well cared for. On walks, I keep things safe and go at their pace. My goal is to make sure your pet feels relaxed and loved until you’re back, tailoring to their individual needs! For stays in my own home, I should note that I have a housemate so it wouldn’t just be me around the dog.
“Kelly was fantastic. I was on holiday so just needed a day without Teddy whilst I visited a couple of tourist attractions. Excellent communication and gave me some great ideas. Most of all Teddy was well cared for. He clearly had fun as he is sleeping. Thanks Kelly”

“Wow! Biscuits first Doggy Day Care went perfectly. She had plenty of play, 2 lovely walks and even a couple of naps which confirmed to us that she was at ease. She was full of beans when we picked her up. We highly recommend Gemma as a dog sitter, caring, friendly and professional. We shall certainly be trusting her to look after Biscuit again and again.”

“We left our 16 month old Cavachon, Baguette with Ros and Charles for a night. It was her first night away from us and so we did wonder about how she would get on. Ros and Charles were just wonderful and took amazing care of Baguette. They took note of every detail, doted on her from the time they met her and she felt immediately at ease. So did we :) I cant recommend them enough. I wish they lived closer to us as I would have loved leaving Baguette with them over and over again. Thank you Ros and Charles!”

“Gina is incredible with our dog Socks and it is clear she understands how to look after dogs well. Gina is polite, professional and super reliable. Gina always sends accross great pictures and videos throughout the day to let us know how Socks is doing, which is reassuring. My dog is my world and I feel he is looked after well, being treated to cuddles, play and snacks. He is always happy to go in a morning and pulls me to the house! Petay and Teddy are sweet, good natured dogs who are super welcoming. We will continue to send Socks regularly. Thanks Gina for making us feel at such ease and taking such good care of Socks every week!”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life, since I was just about able to walk actually. My family, both immediate and extended, has always kept dogs and I've always made it my mission to have a good rapport with them. I'm passionate about their care and making sure they're well looked after. I have a fully enclosed garden and live 5 minutes away from Cramlington nature reserve and some wide open fields below the hospital. We're big fans of enrichment games and general playing if your dog likes it. I do understand however, that every dog is unique and some may just want to chill out on their own. Please let me know as much information as you can give about your pet and their unique personality, likes, dislikes etc. I have experience with anxious dogs and trigger issues, as my own Springer, Bailey, is an anxious lad and has various triggers when outside in the world, so I've learned a lot firsthand with him. He is a great house dog, just the world is very overwhelming for him at times. I'm currently between jobs, so I am totally free to take care of and devote all my attention to your best friend as long as they are in my care. I have a totally enclosed garden and live very close to Cramlington Nature Reserve and a multitude of other walking paths. They will be entirely free to roam the house as they please, sit on the sofas or lounge in the garden (weather permitting, of course). They will be treated as my own when in my care. Plenty of enrichment games, be it a snuffle mat, folded up kitchen roll tubes to shred etc.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for 6 years now. I have experience with small and big dogs. I have one dog (Alaskan Malamute) thats is blind, so I know how to deal when special needs are required. I had a German Shepherd who recently just passed so also have experience with old doggies. At the end they are all furry to love. Love to kiss them and hug them, even if they don’t like it 🤣 I have 3 cats in my house who are used to dogs so that won’t be a problem :) Im currently not working so I dedicate myself to do some studying to keep myself up to date and keep the house tidy. Normally, the pets get fed 3 times a day like us :) And go on walks once a day, plus can use the garden freely if they need a pee or poo. I have fenced garden and a camera in the living room, so in case I need to pop to the shops I can still monitor them.
“It was Bessie’s first stay with Andrew, and she had a wonderful time. Andrew’s attentive and caring nature made Bessie feel right at home. She came back happy, well-exercised, and clearly enjoyed her stay!”

About: I’ve owned dogs since the age of 7 and have grown up around them, so caring for dogs feels very natural to me. I have plenty of experience with both dogs and puppies and understand how important routine, patience, affection, and a safe environment are for happy pets. As a busy family home, there will always be someone home to give your dog plenty of attention, company, care, and cuddles throughout the day. I’m a mum to 2-year-old twins and a 10-month-old baby, all of whom are very gentle, loving, and used to being around dogs. We’re an active household and are more than happy to take dogs on lots of walks and little adventures while they stay with us. Your dog will be treated as part of the family and given lots of love, playtime, comfort, and one-to-one attention during their stay at The Wagging Retreat 🐾 Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine as I am currently on maternity leave and at home full-time. This means dogs are never left alone for long periods and can enjoy regular feeding, toilet breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I have 2-year-old twins, so our days already include outdoor walks and time in the park, which works brilliantly for dog walks and little adventures. Nap times allow for calm bonding, grooming, and training, while evenings are relaxed and settled, making it ideal for cuddles and companionship. Overall, my schedule is flexible and home-based, allowing me to provide consistent care, supervision, and lots of love in a family environment. When caring for pets in my home, they are treated as part of the family. I have a fully fenced, newly refurbished back garden where dogs can safely go outside to toilet and get fresh air whenever needed. Because I’m at home full-time, I’m able to keep a close eye on them, maintain their usual routine, and give them lots of attention throughout the day. Dogs have regular walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles, as well as quiet time to rest. Feeding times, medication (if required), and any specific instructions from the owner are followed carefully. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I stick closely to their usual routine to help pets feel comfortable and settled. This includes feeding, walks, toilet breaks, playtime, and companionship, as well as keeping the home clean and secure. I always aim to provide calm, reliable, and loving care so owners feel confident their pet is happy and safe.
“Olivia has been amazing with my dog Leia this past week. Leia is always so excited and jumpy when she sees Olivia, and it’s clear she’s been so well looked after. I received updates after every walk, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. I would highly recommend Olivia to anyone looking for someone to walk or care for their pet. It’s safe to say Leia has made a new best friend this week!”

I work part time, three days a week but finish on those days at 2pm so can still offer walks on those days too after that time I’m currently working part time leaving most of my week free for all your walking and dog sitting needs! I am free any day after 2pm and the majority of days free from 8am. I have a very large fenced back garden with plenty of running and playing space for your dog giving us a loads of opportunity for a good run up and down and some great games of fetch. Our garden is westerly facing for all the fury sunbathers out there with a large shaded area too! My home is all open plan for free roaming of the place and are more than happy for your doggies to cuddle up on the sofa with us!

The garden is not fully secure.

About: I have a 5 year old cocker spaniel and a 3 year old Vizsla. In addition to this, I have a First class honours degree in Canine and Feline Behaviour and Welfare and have had pets since I was born, growing up with dogs, cats, hamsters and rabbits. Since then, I have gone to university, have achieved a 1st in my Bsc (hons) Degree in Canine and Feline behaviour and welfare, immediately progressed to teaching the very degree I just completed for the last 2 years and intend on spending my career helping dogs and owners to lead happy and fulfilling lives. Which means I can continue any ongoing training following your existing training plan. All training and husbandry is only done using positive based techniques (I do not use aversive based training). Currently I am still working as a lecturer until September. So I am only available Friday- Monday until September 4th. Should you attain my services I will be at the property full-time. So you do not need to worry about your dog being left alone. The only time your pets will be alone is if I need to go to the shop to buy food. Good relationships with a dog and parents are based on high levels of kindness and understanding. Any pet in my care will always be treated like family, where there are no limits to what you would do to give them their best life. In addition, any "house rules" or requirements will be strictly followed including pet care/lifestyle and living arrangements.
About: Your dog will get 1-on-1 VIP treatment with me – no other dogs, just pure attention and cuddles! 🐾 I’ve looked after dogs since I was 6. I volunteer at The Dog and Cat Shelter and cared for my gorgeous border terrier Toby who lived until he was 17 years old. I work from home with flexible hours so I’m available at any time of the day. I’m free weekends, school holidays and bank holidays/Christmas time. Your dog/dogs will get 1-1 committed care with no other pets in my home or other dogs boarding with me. Although we live in a flat we have green areas right outside to take your dog out for the toilet. We also have beautiful walks nearby and I drive so can also take them to their favourite spot. With working from homeI’m in the flat 24/7 so your dog won’t be left at all and we have very little clutter for your dog won’t be able to chew on or eat anything! When caring for pets, we prioritise their safety by ensuring the environment is secure and pet-proofed. I will always offer to meet you and your dog/dogs in advance to get to know you both. I’ll follow your instructions closely, creating a routine that makes them feel comfortable and at ease. Building trust through regular communication with yourself and ensuring they feel loved and cared for is essential to me.

About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs since I was a young child. I grew up with collies, lab and staffie mixes, and rescue cats. I currently have a very dog friendly cat if you are looking for some socialisation, but she is equally happy doing her own thing if you would prefer they remain separate. I work from home with access to a secure garden, and woodland walks only a couple of minutes from my house. I'm available all days, evenings and weekends with notice. I have a pet cat who is friendly with dogs, however she has her own secure room in the house where she can retreat to if she needs to. I have a fenced garden and a dog-friendly cat, however she can be secured away in a different part of the house if necessary. I have a crate that can be used if necessary. I drive and I am located within easy reach of several 24 hour veterinary practices.
“Very happy with my pups walks this week. Louise agreed to pick up these walks last minute as we had a cancellation with our other walker - this has really helped us out and we appreciated the walks she did with our dog. She took him on different walks each day and even gave him a bag of treats at the end. Thanks so much!”

I will be free during the days and evenings to take the best care of your pet :) I am happy and willing to comply with requests and considerations you might need to keep your pet happy and safe!

“I really don’t think I could have found a more lovely sitter for our Lexi. We received regular updates and photos on how she was getting on & Kay was really accommodating & reassuring. Thank you so much I am sure we will be seeing you again xxx”

“Caitlin and Max were brilliant with Ralph. We had an initial meet up where they invited us round to see their house and garden. We could tell straight away Ralph was going to be in a safe pair of hands and really loved Ralph. We’ll definitely use them again 😃”

About: I grew up with Dobermans and at one point we had three in the house. I love dogs and regularly look after my friends pets both sitting and walking. Had experience of dog training, both small and bigs breads, from a border terrier to a German shepherd. Happy to go on adventurous walks, or a walk round the block and open my home up for sitting too. I work full time but have every other Friday off and can work flexibly from home for 2 days a week. I am more available at weekends however can adjust my work from home days to sit around the weekend for longer sitting opportunities. Dog walking can be before work, after work or during a lunch time on a WFH day and weekends any time. I have no pets of my own just yet. I have a garden at my home, 3 bed house with plenty of space and space downstairs for dog beds, crates or whatever is required. I am super respectful and will always follow the dog owners wishes for caring for their dog.

“Andrew and family was the perfect place for Ella! She got her favourite combination of playtime, running around the garden, treats and lots of cuddles. Andrew shared regular pictures and updates. He was also super kind to both pick up and drop off Ella, to make it as easy as possible for me. Will definitely book Ella with them again. Lovely family :-)”

“I don’t even know where to start, I genuinely couldn’t have wished for a more caring and loving person to look after my boy 🥹♥️. He’s a very high energy working cocker and she had him sleeping on the sofa within the first few hours. She took him on so many amazing adventures and he had loads of different experiences that I really doubt he wants to be home! From the first meeting she had a mini interview where she asked me absolutely everything about Pickle. What he likes, what each command means, his favourite toys, treats, you name it. From that moment I knew he was going to be in good hands 🥰 I would take him back to Julie in a heartbeat, I’ve never felt relaxed leaving him with anyone and now finally I feel I can enjoy having time away for the first time since having Pickle ♥️🥒”

“Brigitte has minded our dog Ringo three times now, and she's been great. Ringo can be a little nervous so he was a bit anxious the first time he went, but Brigitte was so patient and made sure he got on well with her own dog, and he's now always really happy to go! Brigitte's also great with contact and has been very flexible any time our travel plans have changed, so it's been really easy to arrange boarding any time we've needed it so far :)”

“Nala had another great stay at Rebecca’s, this time for a week! There were no issues at all and communication was great. I would 100% recommend, and Nala will be visiting more often 😁”
