“Nathan & Laura & family are the best dog sitter i have ever hired. My dog Bungles loves going there and becoming part of the family. They have a great yard that is fenced so my dog can run and play. I highly recommend!”

“What a joy to pick up my dog and have her doing zoomies in Patty’s yard while waiting for me to get out of my vehicle. Happy barking!! And then my dog was waiting to back into her house instead of my vehicle. (She hates the car 😏) I feel she got all the attention and care she expects. (spoiled queen) Patty also easily extender her stay by a day due to late flight. After a horrific stay at a kennel it is a huge relief to have found a great place for my dog to stay. Absolutely will be boarding again with our new friend Patty and her pack!”

“Jamie was absolutely wonderful to work with! She was flexible when we needed to make some changes to our schedule and sent us frequent pictures and updates. I cannot recommend her enough! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!”

“Buddy had a wonderful time playing around in the yard and making friends with the other dogs. Christina was great in keeping me updated with lots of pictures, and I could tell that he was really enjoying his stay. I will definitely be using Christina's services again in the future! Would completely recommend.”

“We couldn’t possibly find better people to care for Piper! No worries, no stress, lots of play, plenty of snuggles, regular updates with photos of their daily adventures, and lots of love! What more can a pet owner ask for!”

“Kylee and David are excellent pet sitters! I don't have to worry at all when our dog is with them. He gets to go on adventures and lots of walks. He comes home happy and sleepy! :)”

“Rachel and her family always go above and beyond to not only make sure that my pup is well taken care of, but sends many pictures and updates for our peace of mind! Many walks, hikes, time outside just hanging out with fellow dog friends, and plenty of pets and love were evident! Thank you again!!”

About: I am currently working towards a bachelor's in Animal Behavior and Welfare, as interacting with animals and learning about them is a passion of mine. I greatly enjoy learning to care for them and then doing so. The degree im working towards is focused on the care of animals while educating the public about them. I grew up with a dog and have had many small animals as pets throughout my life, rodents, fish, insects, arachnids, frogs, etc. Currently I have 3 reptiles and two cats. Willow-Wisp, and Boiled-Egg are my cats. My corn snake is Copper, Blue Tongued Skink is Little-Dude, and Tripod is my leopard gecko. Both Boiled-Egg and Tripod have medical conditions that require at home management and care which has given me some skills in caring for animals with disabilities. They are not the only animal I have history caring for with medical issues either. Many of my experience with pets has been rescue pets, and I have had plenty practice and patience regarding them and behaviors post trauma. I am more than willing to learn about your pets needs and help medical or otherwise. I am currently focusing on college and have plenty of time to help care for your animals. The only day I will be unavailable is Sunday. I have a fenced in yard and half the house closes off by doors so the cats will not interact with your animals unless you are comfortable with it. Depending on your animals preferance I can ensure that I spend time with them or give them the space to feel comfortable and settle in. Any and all expectations set regarding their care and what food, toys, or treats they are allowed will of course be followed. I may have treats of my own I could offer them but will only do so with your approval and in amounts you allow. I do haveextra food and water bowels if you would prefer to use those rather than bringing your own. In the case something awful were to happen I have experience bringing animals to emergency.

“Lisa made us and our boys us feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning. She sent us updates and pictures of them while we were away. She was easy to get ahold of and responded quickly. We would recommend her to anyone and would definitely have her look after our boys again.”

“Lori went above and beyond to make our dog and two cats feel comfortable. Everything went smoothly (communication was easy!), her home is extremely pet-friendly, and she even prepared a special holiday treat for our animals. We’d highly recommend Lori and definitely plan to leave our pets with her again.”

About: I have owned all types of animals my entire life, from horses to cats and dogs, my experience with animals has a long history. I love all dogs and love to make them feel loved. I am a caring and loving person and project that when spending time with any type of animal. I enjoy spending time outside and playing fetch, I also don't mind cuddling up with the ones that need some extra attention. I hope to provide a caring environment so they won't be missing their owners too badly while they are away. Giving animals attention and insuring they are properly fed, watered, and exercised is how I take care of my own animals, and when I am with your pet, they will become just like one of mine for they day!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Twig home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Twig.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Twig sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
