“Deborah took excellent care of our little Yorkie. Our dog is a senior dog and needed her daily medication. Deborah was great with her and made sure she got her medicine each morning. Highly recommended Deborah!”

“Connie and Ron are the only people we trust with our 12 year old Italian Greyhound. He is extremely high maintenance and fragile and they cater to all of his needs perfectly. I would not trust him with anyone else. Thank you Connie and Ron! You guys are the best!”

“Kharen did an absolutely amazing job taking care of our 5 month old Labrador. Tango learned how to play with other dogs and make new friends. This was our first time using Rover. We would highly recommend Kharen and will definitely be asking her to take care of Tango again.”

“My dog seemed to really enjoy her time with Marnette, David, and Gouda. This was the first time we had our dog stay with someone who we didn’t know personally. I was nervous, but Marnette and David took very good care of our dog. They are trustworthy and kind. We appreciated check-ins and pictures in the morning and at night. Highly recommend!”

About: As a devoted dog mom myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your beloved pets. My own dog, Jack, is a big, lovable shepherd mix, so I’m especially comfortable with larger breeds and dogs with big personalities! I believe every dog deserves patience, affection, attention, and plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and enjoy life. I understand the importance of maintaining familiar routines, whether that means regular walks, mealtimes, playtime, or simply providing companionship and reassurance while their people are away. I’m mature, responsible, attentive to detail, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I’ll treat your pets with the same kindness, respect, and affection I give my own, and I’ll happily keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me flexibility to accommodate pet care throughout the week. As a dog mom myself, daily walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of affection are already part of my routine! I enjoy spending time outdoors and would love to make caring for your pets part of my day. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I’m attentive to individual personalities, routines, and special instructions, and I believe in creating a calm, loving environment. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll respect your space, follow your established routines, and make sure your furry family members receive plenty of attention and affection. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident they’re in good hands!
“Sharon is the kindest and most attentive sitter we could ask for! Our pup clearly loved being there and it really helped us relax on vacation knowing our sweet girl was in good hands.”

“Toni did a great job caring for my dog, Scout. She was very attentive and sent lots of photos. I knew my baby was in good hands. Would definitely book her again.”

“Our pup stayed for 8 days while we were on vacation. He was happy and healthy when we returned and had been socializing and playing. He liked Lauren a lot more than other formal boarding places he has stayed.”

“Bella seemed to really enjoy her stay with Kali! My fiancé and I really appreciated Kali’s responsiveness and willingness to work with our schedules. She even sent us a picture showing Bella settled in bed which we greatly adored. Thanks Kali!”

“Toby had a great weekend with Ali and Penny. Ali took great care of him, gave frequent updates, and went above and beyond in her flexibility and taking care of our boy. Will definitely be asking her to watch Toby again next time I need a sitter.”

“Jamie and Nathan were great to work with. They were super responsive and very accommodating. Our dog Riggins loved staying with them. We would not hesitate to book with them again!”

“Jordan and her little 3-year-old daughter were super sweet!! They took great care of our little Shih Poo girl, not to mention she had just started her cycle. I was afraid that Jordan might cancel, but she didn't. My daughter and I brought her with her crate, diapers, food, and toys, and that was that. We were able to enjoy our travels to see family over the weekend without worry over our baby pooch. We're keeping Jordan's profile up top!”

“Mary is the best sitter we’ve found in Asheville. She is quick to communicate, sends plenty of thoughtful pictures and has a large space for the dogs to play outside. She gave my dogs ample walks and they got along well with her two sweet dogs. 11/10”

“This is the second time Lilly has stayed with Caroline. She did a great job with communicating & sending pictures so we knew Lilly was comfortable & doing well. Would definitely have her sit Lilly again!”

“Megan was very responsive, kind, and took great care of our 6 month old puppy Ralfie. He got to play a lot and enjoy their beautiful space they have in Asheville. We got lots of photos and updates along the way. Thank you, Megan!”

About: I have always had dogs and cats and goats and occasionally I have owned cows so I’m a big animal lover who has plenty of land for them to run on and be free with it also being in a fence area. They will feel safe they will feel loved and you will get pictures of your little fur babies daily. I am a stay at home mom who has a two year-old little girl who does Therapy so I am always at home and I would love to be able to help someone when they are in need of having their fur babies at a safe house. Each pet that comes around has water, food and an air conditioner. The outside porch has air conditioner that they get underneath so they are in a safe environment. It’s fenced in and they have plenty of room to run.
“Sarah watched our dog for two nights while we stayed at the Grove Park Inn. This was a great option since the hotel pet fee was $350! Thank you, Sarah, for caring for our pup!”

“Fantastic service. Beautiful country home with huge yard. Sent us photo updates 4 different times. Will use again any chance we get. Thanks again. Danny was so comfortable and super happy.”

“Vanessa did an amazing job with my two girls! She was extremely easy and flexible to work with, and understood each of their individual quirks & needs. One of my dogs is very scared of people and she even was cuddling next to Vanessa by the end of their stay. Both of my dogs loved her and I will definitely be using her again in the future!”

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
94% of sitters in Tuxedo can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Tuxedo home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Tuxedo.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Tuxedo sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
