“Christina was a great spot for Theodore. He ate better than he ever has at a boarder and the photos Christina took of Theodore while we were away were great. She dod great administering his meds for an ear infection he came down with just before we left. I highly recommend Christina.”

“They were so fabulous!!! Watched my girl Winnie on my wedding night. They picked her up, dropped her off and were super flexible on what was a crazy day. Would definitely recommend!!!”

“Hannah was amazing with my senior dog, and she did not seem to mind my dog’s Velcro tendencies. :) Her property is beautiful with plenty of space for dogs to explore. Her dogs and cats are very friendly with other dogs, and I think they helped put my dog, who can be apprehensive in new places, at ease. My dog loved her stay with Hannah, and I know she will be excited to return for another vacation!”
“Flo had an awesome time with Rebecca. This was my pup's 2nd visit with Rebecca this summer. She gets lots of attention, exercise, and love. I loved my photos and videos from the visits as well.”

“Gianni’s had a great time with Lindsey! She was very flexible with drop off and pick up times as well as being a great communicator. We loved the report card that was sent home with him. Will definitely be booking again if we take another trip!”

“Eliot was communicative and flexible with our plans. We had some initial concerns about our cat with Eliot’s dogs but she put those concerns at ease. Her pups did great and so did our cat with them. We’ll certainly be leaning on Eliot again next time we travel. Thank you!”

“Rebecca was the perfect match for our Lucy, who had an excellent stay. She communicated clearly with us and updated us with messages and pictures. She followed all of our instructions. We will absolutely use her again.”

“Noel, is a true gem! She made our first boarding experience a breeze. We have 2 rescue dogs (a pit mix & a beagle mix) who have not experienced a night without us since leaving the shelter in 2017! She made sure to tell me what to pack and how to prepare for their experience. She also helped calm my anxiety by sending me pictures and videos daily during our time apart. Noel was a huge help, as our big dog had an ear infection and she administered the medication daily and did not even blink when I mentioned it to her upon arrival. She truly made myself and my dogs feel at ease during our time away. I would recommend Noel to anyone who is seeking pet care. We will definitely be giving Noel a call when we go on our next out of town adventure! Thank you Noel!”

“Larissa is absolutely wonderful! Rupert greatly enjoyed his stay in her safe and loving home. You can tell she genuinely cares for your animal as if they were her own. Larissa provided photos throughout the week and a recap of their adventures. Definitely recommended!”
“AJ (and her husband) took wonderful care of our dog Maisy at their home for 6 days. They have a nice fenced-in backyard and went on neighborhood walks. It’s clear that they love dogs, and they were excellent about reinforcing our basic obedience rules (sit, down, wait, and no jumping/kissing) that we continue to work on with our dog. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely use AJ again!”

About: I've had animals all my life, and my current dog for 7.5 years. (Black Lab 74 lbs) He obeys without issue and is full of love. When you meet him he will let you know how happy he is and he will share his love with you. He loves everybody and everything. I'm an Air Force veteran and I take pride in everything I do. I work from home, so I am with my Dog (Black Lab) 100% of the time. I keep my door open so my dog can go in and out as he pleases. I'm a full time dog caretaker. My dog gets along with every living creature big or small. So any visitors will have the time of their life. My dog will also be with me on walks, making friends with all the other dogs. I have a fully fenced in yard, plenty of toys, a plastic dog pool for the warmer months, and shelter and inside access for the colder months. I DO NOT feed dogs human snacks. Milk-bones are the only treat I share with unknown dogs. If you authorize other treats just let me know! =)
About: If you want your pets/children/homes well taken care of give me a call! I will make sure all of your needs are met if you hire me! I plan on freeing up my schedule to do more jobs through the day instead of one full time job. Help me get started by hiring me! “Tyler was great with Angel. We were visiting the area and needed somewhere for Angel to stay for two days. He took her for long walks with his dog which she loved. He kept us informed. I would recommend him for your dog sitting needs”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Turner Center home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Turner Center.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Turner Center sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ME ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
