“I was blown away by April's positive attitude and dedication to caring for my golden retriever. She meticulously created a safe, pack-like environment where the dogs felt at home, and the areas were exceptionally clean. Even more impressive were her plans to enhance her already wonderful outdoor space. As a side note, April is a certified dog trainer. Shortly after dropping off my dog and running errands in town, I noticed her diligently and patiently leash-training my dog during a walk, as my GPS took me back past her location. April never mentioned this task on Rover or in person; she simply did it on her own time, free of charge, without boasting. Her quiet integrity and humility are extraordinarily impressive. Best Rover experience so far!”

“Allison was great! She is so kind and was very patient with my Trigger and his anxiety and sent updates with photos throughout the time he was with her. I would definitely recommend her!”

“They were wonderful with our little pomeranian. I was worried about leaving her overnight because she gets separation anxiety, but they sent me lots of videos and pictures and it looks like she had a blast! I would definitely recommend them, they are such a kind and caring couple.”

“Kevin has a other great day with Linda. Kevin had lots of fun going on walks and taking naps. Kevin stayed a little later today which coincidentally was at the start of the storm. Linda played music for Kevin to keep him calm, which was very thoughtful. Linda also gave us a new client card and gift, which was so kind. Thank you Linda! ☺️”

“Sheri is a great sitter! She watched our energetic young Lab while we were on our honeymoon. She sent us photos of our dog every day, which we loved. She kept our pup busy, walking her often and playing fetch in the backyard. We arranged a meet-and-greet with her beforehand, so our dog could meet her dog, and that helped put our minds at ease. Sheri asked many questions during the meet-and-greet, and we could tell that she cared a lot. We recommend Sheri highly, and we would definitely use her as a sitter again.”

“He spoiled our boy! He took him walking daily. We got pictures of him walking and playing with other dogs. He brushed him. We felt our boy was loved and pampered. We would 100% recommend David.”
“I can tell Loki absolutely enjoyed his time over there and I don’t think I could’ve picked anyone better to watch him. She really did treat him like her own dog and she kept me updated on all his silliness. Highly recommend!!”

“We left our 12 month old golden retriever with Monica for a quick weekend trip. Our pup is our entire world so finding good care for her was so stressful. But Monica made it so easy. She reassured me of how her entire stay would go and listened to all my “first time mom” concerns. She sent so many updates, pictures and videos. She 1000% loved our pup like she was her own. We will go back to Monica’s time and time again.”

“Morgan took our baby on a wonderful hike and out birdwatching. Nina is always so calm and relaxed whenever we pick her up, thank you so much for taking care of our baby!”

“A wonderful pet sitter! Very communicative and warm. She was able to accommodate our last minute request, sent us updates and photos of our doggy while we were away, which was very reassuring, and she was flexible and understanding when our ferry delayed our pickup time by almost an hour. We would recommend her and be happy to have her care for our pup again in the future.”

“Elena is great with Oscar and provides updates of the daycare or boarding stays. Oscar is always happy to be going there and is tired when he gets back home.”
About: I’ve had and taken care of pets for most of my life. I’m always sensitive to each individual pet. Very tuned in to the comfort of the pet. My friends and family always come to me first for their pet care needs. I’m readily available because I’m recently retired. No time restrictions anymore. Happy to be available last minute or long term. Would love spending my newly found free time with your pet. I think spending time with pets in their familiar environment creates far less stress for the pet. Familiar smells and their own space makes for a much better experience for all.

“Teri is wonderful with Louie. She sends us photos every day that often make us laugh because she understands his personality so well and he's sad to leave her place when we come get him. She's the best!”

“Oscar and Toby now have a great place to stay when we go out of town! Mary is professional and experienced and we had complete confidence that our pups would be well cared for by her. They played with other dogs and got their first ever socialization - it was a great weekend for them and us!”

“Anita is a very wonderful sitter, took care of my doggo like her own, played with her when he did not want to walk, gave him home made food and took him on long walks. She shared lots of updates too.”

“Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our dog. You provided so many pictures to let us know that she was happy and having a wonderful time as a part of your family for the weekend thank you and I am giving you a five star rating because you are worth every star.”

“Hayley was such a life saver. She took the best care of my 2 pups when we had to fly out and kept us updated :). She was also so flexible with the timing :) definitely recommend!”

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
