“Kessia was absolutely fantastic! We all take trips, but worry about our pets while were gone. No need to worry with Kessia. She took wonderful care of my cat while I was gone. I could tell by the pictures she sent that he was happy. I would book her again in a second😊”

“Hailee dropped in on our cat while we were out of town to refill food and scoop the litter box. She responded quickly to all messages and completed everything as asked! We would definitely seek her help again.”

“Bailey did great looking after our cat for the weekend. I appreciated that she took the time to play with him and shared pictures! It seemed like he enjoyed his time with her and I would definitely book with her again.”

“Taryn took care of our 3 cats while we were on vacation for a week. She stopped by every day to feed and water them, fed the fish, and watered my houseplants. Very much appreciated her communication and taking care of everyone!”

About: I have been around animals my whole life and got my own fur baby 5 years ago! I have had experience watching dogs, cats, birds, and bunnies for friends and family. My experience has ranged from feeding, playing, cleaning up after them. I love to take them on walks and give them all the attention they desire :) I am working part time at two different jobs but my schedule can be very flexible. I love furry friends and will make time for them. The animals safety and proper care are very important to me! I take priority in making sure their needs are met and are safe. I will make sure to keep an eye on them outside and take the proper precautions when doing so
About: At the moment I'm between jobs, so my schedule is pretty open except I'm unavailable between 11am-4pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. During my visits, I prioritize building a trusting bond with your cat at their own pace. Alongside feeding, refreshing water, and meticulously cleaning the litter box, I focus on enriching their day through their favorite activities or peaceful company.
“Michelle regularly does check ins and has done a couple overnights for my pup. She arrives on time, takes great care of my dog, communicates, follow instructions, and sends lots of pics. She is incredibly nice and attentive to my pup and also this nervous dog mom lol. I am very selective in who let care for my gentle giant; I trust Michelle completely and know my baby is in amazing hands. She treats my dog like one of her own, his schedule is followed, and he gets to relax at home with lots of love while I am a way. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could! We are grateful for her at our house!”

“Cortlyn was awesome! She was so comfortable with Zeke! With him being reactive I always get a little nervous with leaving him with other people but I felt he was in the best of hands!! Thank you for taking care of our boy!!”

I love going for walks and would love to take your dog with me During walk I always make sure the dog is hydrated and keep them in safety gear to make sure they are safe at all times.

“Tiffany was so amazing and sweet with my Furr baby ! She was super flexible with pick up and drop off and even sent me pictures while he stayed with her! Lives in a great area and overall a super amazing person !! This is where you want your pet staying if you are ever traveling !!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
