About: Hi! My name is Katherine, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I’m a Certified Veterinary Assistant with over 10 years of hands-on experience working with animals. Because of my veterinary training, I’m able to provide a level of care that goes beyond basic pet sitting. I understand animal behavior, health, and safety, which helps me keep pets comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. My experience includes: • Veterinary clinic experience • Pet boarding & daycare care • Shelter volunteering • Caring for puppies, seniors, and special-needs pets • Administering medications when needed • Recognizing early signs of illness or distress I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Whether your dog needs long walks, playtime, medication, or just a calm companion, I adjust my care to their individual needs. When your pet is with me, you can expect: ✔ Lots of love and attention ✔ Frequent updates and photos ✔ Safe handling from someone with veterinary training ✔ Reliable and responsible care I understand how important pets are—they’re family. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for, and that you feel completely comfortable while you’re away. I also understand that quality pet care can get expensive, so I’m always willing to discuss pricing and work with you when possible to find something that fits your needs and budget. 🐾 I look forward to meeting you and your pet! 🐶🐱 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a online college student with a flexible schedule and a background in veterinary care, I am able to dedicate focused time to each pet I care for. I structure my day around walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and check-ins to ensure every pet receives consistent attention and care. Because animals have always been a big part of my life, spending time caring for them is something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize. As a Certified Veterinary Assistant, safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any medical needs so I can provide consistent care while their owner is away. I closely monitor pets for signs of stress, illness, or discomfort and ensure they are always in a safe environment. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine, providing plenty of attention, and keeping their space clean, calm, and secure.

About: My approach to pet care is rooted in patience, genuine love, and treating every dog as a valued member of the family. With a lifetime of experience caring for dogs and puppies, I deeply understand that pets require more than just basic needs. They thrive on love, reliable structure, and a comfortable place to stay while you are away. My goal is simple: to give pet parents complete peace of mind during vacations or work trips, knowing their animal is in safe and genuinely loving hands. I am excited to shower your beloved companion with care and make a new connection. I am a stay at home mom so I would be able to adjust to almost any schedule. I would be able to give one on one care to your special pup! I would love your dog to be able to make a comfortable living space. We have a small fenced in yard to play and potty breaks, but I am very comfortable with leash walking for bathroom breaks and exercise. We are able to use a crate if needed for night time, I also don’t mind a dog sleeping on our couch for added comfort if that’s what the dog is comfortable with. I truly want it to be a specialized and adjustable experience to whatever the fur baby needs.

About: I adopted Timber when he was six month old in 2012 from a family who was unable to care for him due to his high energy levels and special dietary needs. I brought him home and had to potty train, obedience train, get him over separation anxiety, and socialize him all from scratch. I specialize in dogs that can be a handful, but of course I'm open to caring for any kind of furry friend! I love all animals and would the love the opportunity to care for yours! Thank You!

About: My wife and I did pet sitting in Virginia for a little over 3 years before moving to Tennessee. Our pet parents loved us and recommended us highly. We have never met a dog or cat that didn't like us and some even called my wife the dog whisperer because she has a very calming demeanor. We have taken care of dogs from toy poodles to boxers (3 boxers at one time for the weekend). We love to play and snuggle and we will treat them like they are our own. I work nights but my wife is a stay at home grandmother and between us we have plenty of time to give your dog(s) or cat(s) the special time they need and we would love the chance to get to know yours. I am home full time so I have plenty of time to love on your pet(s) except when I have to go to other clients homes to love on theirs. I have a fenced in yard and take them out regularly and I go out with them to make sure they are safe and secure.

About: I volunteered at an animal shelter for 2 years with all different breeds and sizes of dogs. I had 2 dogs growing up who I took care of my whole life. Up until recently putting them down. I got my own puppy and grew an even stronger love for animals. I started working at a doggy daycare where we also have fosters and have been working there now 2 years I work most weekdays at the daycare- but am able to work around schedules to provide for your fur baby’s and make sure they are comfortable, well fed, and exercised according to their specific needs! I prefer not to crate- rather have more freedom and play through the day. Throwing a ball outside, taking a walk, maybe some enrichment activities which are good for the mind and tiring

About: I've taken care of my own dog for the past 8 years, but before that I was raised around dogs and other animals. My grandparents and uncle always had multiple dogs for hunting, so I am very comfortable around and them and developed a love for dogs at a young age. I have dog sat on various occasions over the past 10 years, and I would love to continue to do it while I’m on the job search. I have a relatively flexible schedule throughout the week since I am pregnant and out of work for the moment, so in most cases would be more than willing to try and work something out. I am currently living in a house with my own dog so I would rather not be doing home services on my end but it is possible for well behaved dogs since my dog is very friendly.

About: What truly sets me apart is not just my love for dogs, but the hands-on experience I have caring for a wide range of breeds and personalities. I currently have three dogs of my own a sweet 8-year-old Chihuahua-Yorkie mix who is our spoiled little baby, a very energetic Shih Tzu who keeps me on my toes, and a gentle giant of a German Shepherd who’s just a big cuddly lovebug. Because of them, I have real-life experience managing everything from small, senior pups to large, high-energy breeds. I’m especially patient with hyper dogs I know how to keep them active, happy, and well-behaved. Whether it’s caring for older dogs who need extra love or keeping up with pups who never seem to run out of energy, I genuinely enjoy every moment of it. I treat every dog like family and strive to make them feel safe, loved, and entertained while you're away. You can trust that your furry friend will be in caring and capable hands! I currently work part-time with a flexible schedule, which means I get to choose the shifts that work best for me. This allows me to easily plan around pet sitting needs. As long as I’m given a little notice, I can adjust my work hours to fit your schedule whether that’s for regular check-ins, overnight care, or last-minute plans. You can feel confident that your pet will get the attention and care they deserve without any conflicts. Although I don’t have a fenced yard, I make up for it by using leashes and taking pets on regular walks around my neighborhood or to nearby parks. I enjoy being active and love spending time outdoors with the dogs, giving them plenty of exercise and enrichment. My own dogs are very friendly and would love the extra company, which helps create a warm and welcoming environment for any visiting pets. I’m dedicated to making sure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for whether they’re staying in my home or I'm visiting them in theirs.

About: I have taken care of my own pets (cats & dogs) as well as for neighbors, friends, and family most of my life and I will always treat them like my own. My own black lab fur baby is a senior girl. I've had her since she was a pup, so I have experience with all stages of life with dogs. I also have 2 cats and love playtime & snuggling with them (on their own terms of course). I am doing Rover exclusively for the time being, so my schedule is very open 7 days a week. I can do feedings, potty breaks, play time & exercise periodically throughout the day as needed. I have no problem with boarding/overnight stays anytime as well! I am a responsible pet parent, and I will always treat your fur babies like they are my own. I treat them how I would want mine to be treated if I were using these services. I will always follow your directions for feeding, rules, & boundaries. You can trust that your babies will be safe and have a fun time while you are away!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Tress Shop. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Tress Shop.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tress Shop. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
