“We decided to not take our pups to Jeep Invasion at the last minute. Vickie and Charlie were great! Our pups were well taken care of! They came home tired! We will definitely be rebooking when we need another sitter!”

“Jessica continues to ‘knock it out of the park’!! Our schedule became very dynamic the day prior to our drop off and Jessica was able to adjust her schedule to accommodate our boy coming early. Sounds like Sully even managed to sit in on a math class and maybe geography as well. Sully always come home a more rounded member of the pack for sure. Thank you so much Jessica!”

“Joan is AMAZING! She took care of our Cookie boy like her own. She is kind, loving, provided daily updates, and followed his schedule/routine like he was home. He came home happy and content. I would definitely recommend her!”

“This was a day visit to see how our boy (Coyote) and she got along. He is an older dog with severe arthritis especially in his hips and knees. She was very attentive to Coyote’s physical restrictions. She provided cute photos and updates even though this was just a day/trial visit. He will be going back in a month for an overnight to see how he does. I don’t anticipate any problems. Thank you Elizabeth!”

“We were very nervous to leave our pup because it was our first time boarding. She answered all of our questions (there were several lol). The meet and greet was awesome, Viviana clearly knows dogs. Viviana quickly helped us settle in with consistent picture and video updates. She also updated us on some of Cash’s tendencies she was seeing and exactly what she was doing to keep Cash and other dogs safe and happy. She even helped find Cash a friend that matched his energy level. We were super satisfied with our experience. We see why she has repeat customers.”

“Lucas was great! He was accommodating, kind, and Mia seemed super happy to have Lucas’s dog as a friend ❤️Also had a backyard where the dogs could run in and out of the house. Thanks!”

“Felt confident that Scout was being loved and cared for. Penny sent pics and videos and kept us updated on how Scout was doing. Would absolutely recommend Penny and use her again.”

“We were very pleased with Dana, she sent pics of Bailey and kept us informed on how he was doing, from the pics that she sent to us, Bailey looked right at home and happy. Dana and her family took excellent care of our Bailey. We will definitely rebook with Dana if she’d love to have him back!”

About: Lifelong dog owner and experienced pet sitter. I’ve cared for my own dogs and watched friends’ and family’s pets for so many years. I work part-time and home typically by noon. If your pup is an overnight I do have safe places for your baby to stay while I’m gone. If your baby is super friendly and understands dog doors I have that available. #1 is safety and feeling comfortable and loved. My backyard has a wooden privacy fence. I’m present and interact with them. The backyard is big with lots of running space.
“Allyson and Tyler treated my Maddie girl like a member of their family!! They sent updates on her days and pictures! I highly recommend them for your dog sitting needs!”

Our boy had so so so much fun with holly and her family and treated sawyer like one of their own ! I can’t express really how amazing she is and would highly recommend her to sit for you !!!!”

“We could not have dreamed of a better place for Reese to stay while we traveled! From our initial Meet and Greet, we could see that Reese already had made good friends. We received daily updates on how our girl was doing, along with photos and videos, giving us peace of mind, knowing she was having the best time in a great home!”

About: I was an accredited dog trainer with Petsmart. Now I am a veterinary assistant in school to be a veterinary technician. I have kennel experience and I foster dogs from rescues and shelters. I begin my new job July 6th so I am open to board/house sit/train. I will be working 8am-5pm at the local animal shelter as the veterinary assistant. So I can also train dogs after work. I was the dog trainer at Petsmart I also worked home health care for many years. I was a cna for 16 years prior to switching to dog training. I had a change of heart and decided to change to the career I wanted to do the most which was work with dogs. I am a dog trainer and we can do in home training or meet at the park for training. No flexi leads we can use a 20 foot training leash if having room to run is an issue for you.
“We were a first timer with Rover and decided to select Becky W as our sitter who agreed to take care of them at our home. Becky did an outstanding job caring for our two sweet Lhasa Apsos! We are forever grateful for the communication, sending photos and providing updates including videos during her time with them. It gave us great relief feeling that they were being well cared for. Thank you Becky for making this experience a great one! It truly reduced the stress and helped us have even a better time knowing our babies were in great hands. We will be sure to reach out again when we need a sitter! Thank you so much and God bless.”

“Thank you, Meredith! We cannot say enough good things about our experience. Meredith was so accommodating as our travel plans kept changing. She kept us updated with frequent pictures and messages, as she understood we were nervous leaving our little dog with a stranger. We will use her again and highly recommend her services!”

“Kaylee took great care of my dog. I wasn’t worried at all while we were gone! We got daily updates and while my dog can sometimes be scared and take a while to warm up to a new place, he settled down quickly with Kaylee. The daily pictures she sent to update me on how he’s doing helped put me at ease.”

“Kathy kept my mini Aussie for 4 days while I was out of town and cared for him as if he were her own! He was happy and tuckered out when I picked him up....a huge relief for me!! She is a gem and I would use her exclusively for my sweet pup!!”

“My old guy loved staying with Melissa. After our initial meet-and-greet, he went straight up to Melissa and leaned against her for some love the morning I dropped him off. She is very attentive, easy to communicate with, and provides a great home for dogs. I 100% recommend Melissa if you need to find someone to watch your pup.”

“Rachel was great! Sent lots of updates and took great care of my dog. Felt like my dog fit right in to Rachel’s little pack! Thank you so much for taking such good care of her!”

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
93% of sitters in Toqua can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Toqua home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Toqua.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Toqua sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
