When caring for pets in their own home, I follow your instructions closely — from feeding schedules and walks to playtime routines and cuddle sessions. I make sure water bowls are always fresh, food is given on time, and your pet gets plenty of attention and exercise. I also keep your home tidy, bring in mail/packages if needed, and send regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and loved.

I have even lived on a horse ranch for 2 years, helping caring for nine horses and a goat - so no pet is too big, too small or too sassy for me. About: I started taking care of friends' and neighbors' dogs after retiring in 2024. My lifelong love for cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes is now my daily passion! As an active retiree, I don't have any pets currently, and the house is empty and waiting for my next furry friend! I've cared for everything from dachshunds to a Bernese Mountain Dog. I love cats, but I want to watch them in your home, not mine. Happy to house-sit, work overnight shifts, and care for senior dogs and puppies. Although I don't have a fenced yard, I do have miles of walking trails and parks in the community, as well as an electronic fence for any dogs that need unrestricted access to a yard. I am fully retired and spend my days caring for your pets. Rarely will your important pet be left alone, if at all. I used Rover with my senior dog, Tucker, for over 5 years and met some wonderful people. It was a relief to me when I traveled, knowing my best friend was also enjoying his time in a safe, loving home. Now I meet new animal friends every week, and it feeds my soul and theirs. Your fur baby will have a dedicated sleeping space, feeding space, and unlimited access to our yard, depending on your needs. Full access to the entire house. I encourage you to bring toys, pet beds, crates, and any other items that will make your cherished pet comfortable. We are comfortable giving medication to older dogs, working with young puppies, and customizing our days to fit your pet's regular routines (such as walks, feeding, medication, and brushing). We have access to a private dog park, but we only go there after discussing it with you in advance. Note: we have an unfenced yard but use sound/ vibration to alert your pup if s/he is trying to escape. No electricity involved, just moderate stimulation. Most dogs learn the boundaries very quickly and without any discomfort.

I've had my challenges with the dogs so for someone to come in a take over for a week seemed a little daunting however Yolanda came through with 5 stars... I have no doubt the dogs were well taken care of as all instructions left were meticulously followed and the dogs were definitely well cared for not to mention the house was cleaner then I left it. Your animals will be treated just like my own, with love, respect and understanding! I am sometimes unavailable Tuesdays and Thursdays, but always feel free to ask about a particular Tuesday or Thursday and I may be able to schedule with you! I am incredibly flexible so whatever you need me for, I’m there! Feel free to ask any questions about schedules, while I’m with your pet they will have my complete attention. I don’t currently offer boarding since one of my dogs isn’t neutered. Your pets safety is my biggest priority! I want to care for your pets in the ways you do, to insure they’re as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I am open to any schedule, services, and needs your pet has!

About: I’ve had and cared for a small range of animals my entire life. We’ve always had some combination of dogs, cats and birds for as long as I can remember. I work as a teachers aide during the day but that certainly leaves me plenty of time to care for your pets needs. Any weekday I can be available after 3pm I will diligently follow any and all instructions to ensure the safety of your pet!
