“Our 14YO female heeler bonded immediately with Aarti and she was probably sad when we returned. I like Aarti because she returns texts and requests in a very timely manner. We got photos from her every day which helped to ease any anxiety we had about using a new dog sitter. Her background as a vet assistant also eased our minds with our dog's history of Cushings disease. We travel a fair amount and are looking to have Aarti care for our girl in the future. Five stars for sure.”

“Lilian is our go-to sitter. She goes above and beyond every single time; some of my favorite pics of the pets are from her updates during her stay. My animals love her, and they are all excited to see her when she gets to the house. I would recommend her 10/10 every time!”

“Jamie was amazing! She took great care of our Littles (2 chihuahuas). They were so content! She sent lots of photos every day and texted me often with reports. Highly recommend!”

“Rachel is wonderful in every way! She was so loving to our pup and checked in with us often to make sure were updated on his activity, medication, feedings, etc AND our house was left immaculate. We are already looking forward to her next visit.”

“Second time we have asked Regina to come and watch the doggos for us. Once again she has exceeded expectation. I can't stress enough how well she takes care of the dogs, gives them a ton of attention, and continues to take them through their routines while we are gone. If available, we will always reach out to Regina to watch the pups. Everyone here is a huge fan of her!”

“Rachel was great! Kept us up to date, left the house in great shape and even alerted us to an issue with our hot water heater. Highly recommend and will definitely hire her again!”

“Jace was fantastic! My Aussie immediately loved her.. so appreciated all the pics of the walks and play and snuggles. Felt completely comfortable with Jace in our house, you couldn’t even tell she was there! Definitely will rebook!”

“I was very hesitant to have a stranger stay at our home with our girls….much less a stranger that I found on the internet. After reading Tracy’s profile, I felt that she was best suited for our girls and boy was I right! She took the time during our meet and greet to talk with me and get to know our girls. Throughout our trip she gave thorough updates and sent pictures to ensure everyone was good. We have a reactive dog and Tracy showed her grace and patience, and with her knowledge and experience she was a friend not foe by the end. We have always put off trips that come up because of the dogs and never feeling comfortable with anyone staying with them. This is definitely not the case anymore now that we have established a relationship with Tracy. I would recommend her a million times.”

“Abigail is the best! We’ve had her stay at our house with our dogs a few times now. She’s always quick to respond, asks the right questions, is a courteous house guest, and most importantly gets along splendidly with our dogs! We highly recommend Abigail.”

“Kira is a wonderful sitter. My animal are well taken care of and happy when I get home. Kira has great communication skills, she on time professional and very clean.”

About: I have always been called to help out family and friends with their dogs! I myself had three dogs to care for since I was about 12, I had to do extensive research to get them and was fully responsible for them their whole lives! I go to school and work but I am more than happy to check on your pet when I have breaks and I am available to stay at the house any day of the week! My parents primarily care for my 1 dog at home since I am away most of the year. When we had 3 dogs, I was the primary care giver- I am familiar with feeding, walks, signals of discomfort, and realize when dogs just need some extra attention. I am also willing to do research on every breed I will care for so I am more knowledgable about it.

“Sheri is a very caring, loving, and responsible house/pet sitter. My 2 dogs were happy and pouted after Sheri left. I think she played with them more than I do. I highly recommend Sheri. You will not find a better or more caring dog sitter”

“Gabriella was nice to have house sitting. When you don't have to worry about your fur babies when you're on vacation, it makes your vacation that much better. Would absolutely book Gabriellla again if we had the chance!”

About: What is gonna set me aside from the rest is my patients and ability to actually work with all animals no matter size/sex or breed. Well, perfectly because I'm without employment so I am home with my 2 dogs all day anyways. One is senior and the other a puppy Well first my yard has 3 separate yards all fenced off from each other. Plenty of room to run and extra furniture for lazy times.

“LOVE LOVE LOVE Erica! She was greatly attentive to the needs of my dogs and an incredible house sitter. Home was clean and pups were happy! Definitely recommend and will request again!”

About: I have 10 years of experience as a vet tech. I have cared for all age ranges in cats and dogs and I have no issues with giving medications and most medical issues. I have been doing pet sitting since I started vet teching 10 years ago! I’ve done check-ins, walks, overnights, and day care for friends, family’s, clients at work, and neighbors! I am free all day to stay at your house Saturday-Monday but work 10 hour days Tuesday-Friday so would not be able to check in for potty break other than lunch break on those days. I currently work at a speciality veterinary hospital in ABQ from Tuesday through Friday until about 6pm! Can’t wait to meet your fur babies and given them all the love! I have a fenced yard with lots of trees and shading. Two playful dogs who love ball and being outside and lots of places to explore in my backyard.

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a small child. I have worked in the pet care industry since I was 18 years old and currently work in Emergency Veterinary Medicine. I have a lot for pets and understand how important they are to us as people. I’m looking to meet some new four legged friends and make an little extra income when I can. I have myself a 4 year old Male/Neutured Staffordshire Terrier and a 9 year old Golden/Rottwieler Mix. My Rotti doesn’t come on adventures but if you are looking for playdates, my Staffy loves making friends! My schedule is varied, I care for my human family, my own fur babies and reptiles, while working full time in Emergency Veterinary Care. I do work 12 hour shifts 3 nights a week. Caring for your companion would be an important part of my schedule and I am willing to commit to the very important responsibility of walking, feeding, and spending time with your pets. Paying attention to details on how the pet parent already does things and trying to maintain a similar routine in walks, commands, or activities. It reinforces any training already in place, avoids any confusion or frustration on the pets side, and builds a better relationship between myself and the pets to help reduce any anxiety that comes with a new person around.

About: I have pet and house sat many friends over the years. I am extremely responsible and dependable. I have raised and cared for both dogs and cats! I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, so it's very easy for me to move around town and be in another location during the week. I prefer to take care of pet's in my clients home because I have three dogs at home. They are friendly, but I think my house is shrinking.

“Julie took amazing care of Marley and even extended the house sitting when my flights got cancelled. I knew Marley was in good hands and the flexibility was so helpful during such a stressful time.”

About: From time to time for the past 3 years I have taken proper care of my family’s pets outside my home but I can confidently say that I’ve been taken care of my own pets for my whole life! There hasn’t been one day that’s gone by where I haven’t taken care of them somehow. I’ve naturally grown the knowledge over the years how to properly care for small and large dogs and of course, cats! Right now I am temporarily working a part-time job, I am usually scheduled early in the mornings or evenings. I have to work around my job schedule which changes every week but I know my work schedule 2 weeks in advance. I have experience with scheduled feedings twice a day for dogs, daily feeding for cats, giving fresh water everyday, switching dogs and letting them outside throughout the entire day. I have experience with kennels for my own dogs sleep in their kennels. I have lots of experience with dogs that have to stay separated from one another due to dog fights, (my pets don’t like each other). I also have experience dog walking, playing and being able to identify changes in their well-being. I perform all these duties everyday with my own dogs and have experience doing so outside of my home. I take care of dogs that aren’t mine like my own according to the customers needs.

“Tatiana took care of my 17 year old short hair part Siamese cat, with kidney failure, doing an outstanding job of keeping her on her prescription diet giving her treats by hand. She also helped to care for my 10 year old Boxer Pit Bull mix, quickly making friends with him although he is very shy. Tatiana was able to make instant friends with him and did an exemplary job of ensuring he was fed and given his heart worm medication. Thank you for the amazing care of my beloved fur babies.”

Tierra Oeste pet parents share their Rover experiences
Erica is great! Really nice, pets are happy, and I can't even tell she was ever here she took such good care of the house 😀

Ambra was perfect! Took great care of my sweet doggie and communicated well. She even went back to feed her when my flight was late. My first experience with Rover and Ambra made it a great one.

This was my first time using Rover. I was nervous. No one other than my mom has house sit to take care of my dogs. I went to Italy for 2 weeks. Julie took care of my house and dogs during this time. I was very worried, but she assured me communicated with updates everyday and sent pics. I trust her and I will definitely use her again and refer her to my family and friends to house sit or take care of pets. I trust Julie with my house and pets. She is definitely a 5 star rating.
