“Maria and Nayibe were absolute lifesavers! They were available last minute to watch our dog while we went on vacation to catch a baseball game, and they went above and beyond to make sure our pup was well taken care of. They sent regular updates with videos and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. They were incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and clearly cared about our dog as if he were their own. As a generous surprise, they even sent us home with a pack of treats for our road trip back—such a kind and thoughtful gesture. We couldn’t recommend Maria and Nayibe more highly and would absolutely trust them again in the future!”

“Kathy and Brad took great care of our little dog while we came from out of town to attend the State Fair. They clearly love dogs and they gave him lots of attention and love. Great communication also both before and during his stay. We will definitely use them again if we are in the area.”

“Lauren was absolutely phenomenal with Rory! He struggles with separation anxiety, but she made him feel comfortable and he warmed right up to her. He even ran straight inside on their second day together, ready to play! Lauren is very responsive and takes lots of great pictures too. I couldn’t recommend her more! We’ll definitely be reaching out again in the future. Thanks again, Lauren!”

“Julie was amazing with my 10 week puppy! She sent pictures and updates throughout the day. This was my first time using Rover and she made the experience stress free. I will definitely be using her again!”

“Dana was excellent. She made us feel really comfortable that Ruby was in good hands. I retired in January and Ruby is mostly home with Mom now so she is a bit hyper when she goes someplace else. Dana had Ruby feeling like she was part of her family and she calmed down within minutes of being at her house. We already have Dana booked for another visit and I know Ruby will be in great hands.”

About: I’ve handled pets for 10 years with compassion, warmth, and love like they’re my own. Friends and family have relied on me plenty of times to take care of their fur babies; whether it be a walk, a quick check-in, or sitting for a night. My personality adds comfort and ease to any family. I currently work remote full-time Monday-Friday 7am-3pm, so any needs after 3pm, I am your caregiver! If a quick visit is needed on a lunch hour, that is always no problem as well. I am free all day most weekends for any pet needs, including boarding or sitting. I live in an apartment complex that is pet friendly. We have a brand new, fenced-in dog park. There is a huge unfenced yard where dogs can be taken out on a leash. My apartment can accommodate most things such as a crate, toys, food, and other animal necessities.

“Kari was great! We have used her for daycare previously and needed her again while us humans went to the state fair. My Cocoa absolutely enjoyed her. He's a little bit of an anxious pup when i'm not around but from the pictures i was being sent, he was so content! I definitely recommend her!”

About: Hello! You may have seen me around town walking my hound and my kitty in his chariot (that is, his stroller). I grew up with a "pack" of usually 5 dogs and 3 cats at a time! My family took in rescues - hunting beagles that wandered onto our property and area shelter babies. I developed a sense of responsibility and deep love and compassion for our beloved furry brothers and sisters. So it's no stretch that I'm now working part time to take care of yours!! I'm offering: Half hour to hour walks Longer walks/park or hike field trips for your adventurous pups Cat walks! I provide the kitty stroller Drop in visits for dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, ferrets, gerbils, hamsters, piggies, small flying marsupials - anything else? Let me know! Daytime or overnight sitting I recently fostered two 2-week old chihuahua puppies for several weeks, and I have a good deal of experience making sure elderly puppies and kitties are comfortable and attended to with great patience. I currently care for my gorgeous girl, Belle, with one medium and one looong walk a day (and if you've ever walked a hound, you know that can be an ordeal: they have to sniff EVERYTHING). We like to go on field trips to parks and hiking at Carl Sandburg! If you are wanting your pet to get a bit of socialization with another dog who is extremely sweet, I would be happy to walk your dog(s) with Belle - but that is up to you. When I go to your home, I will take my time to give your animals plenty of love and play in addition to any walks/feeding they need. Their emotional well-being is of utmost importance.

“Our dog, Gibbs, loves going to daycare at Karen’s house! We can’t even mention the word ‘daycare’ unless we are heading out the door or he will be begging to get in the car.”

About: I work from home and can watch your fur-baby all day! I have 1 dog and 1 cat, both of whom are accustomed to sharing their home. My home is mostly open-concept, which means lots of space for indoor play when it's too hot, cold, or rainy to be outside. The yard is large and open. My husband and I both volunteered the the SPCA of Texas when we lived in Dallas, where we were trained as animal behaviorists focused on enrichment activities for dogs and helping rescues learn basic commands to get ready to live in a family setting. We're both passionate about balancing play with training, which means we try to spend some time each day training our dog (and yours!) with both verbal commands and hand signals. If there's any commands in particular you and your pup are working on, just let us know and we'll keep the training going while we take care of your pup! Adrienne works from home and is there all the time, so pet care is a persistent thing. On nice days, she works from the sunroom, and both our animals are usually found on the couches in there with her, happily basking in the sun. In the evenings and on weekends, the whole family is home and plays together, including the pets. We go outside for fun as often as the weather allows. We have a dog who will be more than happy to keep your pup company, and with Adrienne working from home full time, someone is always around to ensure a safe and fun environment where everyone is getting along. There's also plenty of space to separate pets in case a little independent time is needed.

About: I have only had my own dogs to engage with but I love to teach them new tricks and help them learn. I am also not afraid to get to know shy pets I would be available after 4:30pm weekends but available all weekend. I work around having other jobs but am open those parts of the day I feed them, walk them, and teach them new tricks. I also love to play with my dogs to get the energy out of them

“Sarah is amazing! She took excellent care of Sophie. We felt completely at ease knowing she was being watched by a wonderful family. Will not hesitate to leave Sophie with Sarah again.”

“Samantha was amazing!! I reached out to her last minute to watch my dog while I was working and she was so accommodating and kind! My dog was very comfortable in her home and got lots of play time, I received many photos of my dog looking very happy! Would recommend Samantha!”

About: Hello! I’m Carolyn and I’d like to think I’m a bit of a pro when it comes to dogs. Growing up I was the neighborhood dog sitter. I did this for free because I just loved dogs. I had a horse growing up and spent countless hours on the farm with all the animals caring for them. It truly is my calling. In my mid 20’s I managed a doggy daycare for over a year while I was between careers. This was by far my favorite job ever, and running my own doggy daycare became a dream. My dog, Talley, came to work with me every day. She got the perks of daycare and I got the perks of playing with 20 dogs! Talley lived a pampered life with us for 16 years. She had Cushing and was successfully on meds for this for over 4 years. I have lots of experience with senior dogs, medication and specialty care. I also have lots of puppy experience and have raised 2 puppies myself. My 2 year old Golden Retriever, Poppy, loves playing and is always looking for a game of chase or a wrestle. She is thrilled to know we have other friends coming over to play with her. My husband Todd and I have 3 daughters that are 11, 8, and 5. They loves animals as much as me. They are always playing with the dogs and taking them out to play in our fenced backyard. Check out my Facebook page to see lots of videos and stories of dogs I watch throughout the week “Carolyn’s pup and farm care”. This has lots of pictures and videos of the house, yard and happy dogs! Interested in dog walking?? I walk 3-6 miles per day so if you need someone to come walk your dog I’m a great fit for that too. I tailor my walks for my 4 legged friends. Older pups go on shorter walks, I avoid extreame heat and cold so their paws don’t get hurt. I’m super fit and can walk for hours so if you need a regular walker, or just a once in a while walker, I’m your girl. I can walk just your dog, or bring my 2 year old Golden along so they have a friend. Sometimes the weather stinks and walking isn’t ideal. I’m happy to go over and let your dog out, feed them, and play inside with them. Whatever works for you and your dog I’m happy to do! Right now, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are my walking days. Why I’m on Rover: We have an amazing horse, Steel, and that’s my reason for being on Rover. I show this beautiful guy and it’s quite expensive and he is quite spoiled. To be in top shape this magnificent horse receives chiropractic, massages, training and constant care. Did I mention I love my animals, lol. So, to supplement my horse showing I’ve decided to open our home up to dog walking, doggy daycare and boarding. Not sure if I’m more excited or the kids :) My Schedule: I’m a stay at home mom. My daughters are in school during the week. I’m home in the mornings until about 9:30, then I go to the horse barn to train for a couple hours during doggy nap time. Then I’m home the rest of the day and evening. My dog eats 3 meals a day and go on 1-2 walks (weather depending- her feet are sensitive to the salt and cold). She goes out in the fenced yard about 30 times a day. My golden has me trained to open the door when she paws at it. She truly hit the jackpot with me and is so loved. I believe in routine and my golden Poppy has my every move down. “Welp, time to go” and she lays down for nap. When workout socks go on she know it’s walk time. Cooking in the kitchen means party time in the back yard. We have lots of space to run inside and out. We are a loving family that will adore your dog while you’re away. For boarding- About our home: I have a fenced back yard for the dogs to run and play in. We have a large almost 4000 square foot home for the dogs to play in. We have a swimming pool in a separate fenced in area so if your dog is a swimmer they will have a blast in the summer. Other than the few hours I leave to go ride the horse, I’m home all day. After our walk, my dogs follow me room to room and help with chores. We also have a large backyard that isn’t fenced for the dogs to run in. It’s about 1 acre of beautiful mowed lawn, so no brush or thistles for them to run through. Important to note that I only unleash a dog if it has a recall. My older dog can’t hear as well so her days of running outside the fenced yard are over. This is for the safety of the dog and for others. It’s only fair to allow a dog to run free if it knows how to safely return. My golden, Poppy, loves every person and every dog. I’ll never send a dog home dirty. So if that means a quick rinse or a full out bath, that’s what we will do. I have all the grooming brushes and will pretty your pup up before they head home.

“Our puppy Maverick had a great time playing with Nate's puppy! Nate was very communicative while setting up the reservation and was very flexible with drop off and pick up times which allowed us to pick up Maverick late after enjoying the state fair. Maverick was well cared for and was very tired when we returned home! Thank you!”
