Adriana did a great job taking care of our two dogs for two weeks. She sent pictures multiple times per day, took the dogs for walks, and was very quick to respond to messages on Rover. Over Easter, she even set up a holiday-themed photo shoot with the dogs. We were very impressed. Her home is very clean and well taken care of. It’s set up like a professional doggy daycare, with multiple gated areas, a fully fenced backyard, an astro-turfed outdoor area, and multiple levels of locked gates outside for security. It’s the perfect setup.

Carissa was a great sitter for Lennox - he seems to have enjoyed her care and the company of her pet, Judge. He came back happy! During his stay with her, Carissa kept in touch with me with appropriate updates, including photos and a few short videos. She was flexible on drop off and pick up times, which was great because my return home was delayed a little bit with traffic. I’d recommend her for sure and already booked Lennox for another stay with her in a few weeks!

Freckles was born during the pandemic, so socialization was difficult. Chrisie’s dogs embraced Freckles with open “paws” making it easier for him to be comfortable. Additionally, Freckles, never left her side, making him feel safe. I received pics and updates frequently. Chrisie was a great recommendation. I will definitely use her again!

Tara is great! She is very kind and easy to communicate with. My dog is a clingy and nervous chihuahua, and he felt very comfortable with Tara. She did a great job making him feel relaxed while sharing pictures with me while I was away. I appreciate her dedication and patience for making my dog, and myself, feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while I was out of town. Thank you Tara!

Mary did a great job. She sent us regular pictures and kept our energetic dog active and entertained. We picked our dog up much later in the day than we thought but Mary was very flexible w our schedule and stayed up till we arrived. I'd say she went above and beyond to take care of our pooch!

Eileen was great! She took care of my kitten (Charlie) for 20 days and updated me with pictures and information about him throughout his stay with her. At first she was slow to respond to my messages before taking Charlie in but was great during his stay. I would be happy to recommend her to anyone.

Excellent pet care! We felt so relieved that our dog, who has severe separation anxiety, adjusted well and was comfortable with Glenn. Our dog was pampered and we received much communication and many pictures while we were away. I immediately rebooked for another trip—even before I picked up my dog. So happy to have found Glenn. I highly recommend!

About: I don't have much experience with dog care. My family briefly had a dog or two when we lived in Trinidad and Tobago for about 2 years. And my oldest brother briefly lived with a Husky. I've been surrounded by cats most of my life since I was about 15 years old and now I'm 42 years old. I plan on being the sole pet caregiver in my household for your pet(s) and I will treat your pet or dog like an extended part of the family. Whatever rules you wish for me to follow with your pet or dog I will follow and respect them. I have a deep compassion for animals and will treat your pet or dog with love and care. I'm currently a part-time home health aide or caregiver for my Autistic 14 year old son which takes place at our home. I have a family of 5 including three kids and I'm looking for a way to make extra income. We live with 4 cats who spend most of their time outdoors. We have a fenced up yard with plenty of room for your pet(s) to roam around in and play.

About: Hello all, I've owned cats, dogs, and horses for over 20 years now and was their main caregiver starting at 8 y.o. I've worked at many horse barns and pet sitter for many many friends over the years. I have skills in pet healthcare (administering medication, baths, cutting nails, etc), young animals, dog & horse training, rescue animals, and elderly animals. I do my best to provide stress free care for your pets. I am currently working from home full-time! So there is always someone around to take care of your pet! My husband and I mostly like to relax and unwind at home with the occasional dinner date or movie, but are flexible and will be upfront with owners if their pet’s needs cannot be met! When pets are in my home, I always take note of the their state of wellness, looking for stress or anything out of the ordinary. I also will inspect the environment to ensure dangerous items (small items/chocolate/other) are out of reach. While we do not have a fenced in backyard we do have a lunge line that will allow your pet to enjoy running around in the backyard but provides a limit so pets do not go near the back alley road! I make sure pets have access to water at all times. I am able to administer medications easily whether it is as simple as pill pockets or even injections. We also have two dogs of our own as well as a cat! Geordi is a 10 year old Australian Cattle dog who is energetic but respects other pets space, Thor is a 1 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who loves other playmates, and Wynnona is that our 4 year old cat who tends to mind her own business!

I couldn’t be happier with the care Jordyn P. gave my dog, Loki, while I was away for four days. She is the true definition of a dog lover! From the moment Loki arrived, she made sure he felt comfortable and loved. She gave him plenty of playtime, lots of one-on-one attention, and treated him like part of her family. It was exactly the home-like environment I was hoping for. Jordyn was also excellent at communicating. She kept me updated every day with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. The best part was seeing Loki come home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. That told me everything I needed to know—he was comfortable, felt at home, and was genuinely loved during his stay. I highly recommend Jordyn P. to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and compassionate dog sitter. Loki and I will definitely be booking with her again. Thank you, Jordyn, for taking such wonderful care of my boy!

About: I have 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own that I care for daily. I also care for my friends pets often and am excited to meet your pets and provide them the best care that they deserve. I am available all day on weekends and in the evenings every day. Some week days I am available more often. I am also available for overnights stays. I have a fenced in yard so would be able to have your pets in my home with no concern of them running off or anything like that. If I am caring for your pets in your home I will treat your home like my own, providing the best care.

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Throop home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Throop.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
