“It was our first time using Rover and we had a great experience! Ericka sent regular pics and updates. When we got home our dog was happy and content. When we’ve had to use something more like daycare in the past, he just gets really stressed and barely eats. We will be using rover again in the future for sure.”

“I usually use Rover's boarding option, however, I wasn't able to find anyone in close proximity during this busy summer. With this being my first time using the house sitting service, I was nervous about leaving my dog and opening my home to someone I had just barely met. However, Mahle made this experience less stressful. We established a meet and greet a few days after I initially requested the days I needed a sitter for my dog. She responded promptly to my messages and showed up right on time. She was friendly, interacted and played with Koa as we discussed Koa's schedule and personality. When we were away, I did have to message her to see how everything was going and she responded quickly with updates of my dog and a picture. She was very respectful of my property and most importantly I came home to a happy dog. I feel more at ease using this Rover option and will definitely ask Mahle if she can sit for my dog in the future. Thank you, Mahle!!”

“I booked JaRavia at the last minute, and she was incredibly flexible with scheduling a meet-and-greet. During the boarding, she was patient and understanding with my shy dog, Bear, who can be a bit distant. She checked in frequently, and by the end of the visit, Bear had started to trust her. I highly recommend JaRavia for her kindness and love of animals!”

“We truly hit the jackpot with Natalie! From the moment she met our dog, it was clear she has a natural gift with animals. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine love for dogs gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Natalie didn’t just “watch” our dog, she bonded with her, spoiled her with love, and kept her happy, active, and safe. We received regular updates (complete with the cutest photos), and it was obvious our pup was having the time of her life. We recommend Natalie without hesitation. If you’re lucky enough to book her, your dog will be in the very best hands.”

“We have 4 animals (2 dogs, cat, rabbit). Traisaun stayed with them over the weekend and did an amazing job with them. We can tell how much they enjoyed (or not) their sitter by how needy they are when we get home. Traisaun was very attentive and interactive with them. They calmed down (and went to sleep) very quickly after we got home, which means they really didn’t miss us when he was here. Each of the animals has their own feedings, needs, and exercise (and some medicines), so they are not the easiest pets to sit for. I would highly recommend Traisaun and will definitely have him sit with them if he’s available! Oh, and the house was spotless when we got back! (did I mention 4 animals?) You won’t go wrong with Traisaun!”

“We had Darra stay at our house for a week and watch our English Mastiff Tyson. Our dog is very shy but Darra sent pics while we were away, and from the pics, you could tell he felt safe and loved. We had no issues, the communication was great, and we would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 9 years old and can’t imagine life without them. From volunteering at shelters to pet sitting, walking, and fostering, animals have always been a huge part of my world. Now at 28, I bring over 19 years of hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments including seniors and pets who need special care. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and house sitting. I’m comfortable administering medications including injections, and I’ve supported pets recovering from illness or surgery. I’ve also helped with basic training and behavior support. As a licensed social worker, I bring an extra level of responsibility, trustworthiness, and calm presence to the pets and families I work with. My schedule is flexible thanks to my part-time work and I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s unique needs and routine. Whether you’re heading out of town or just need a helping hand, I’d love to be your go-to pet care person. I treat every animal like family because they are. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in yours, my top priorities are safety, comfort, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine. I take time to get to know each animal’s personality and needs so I can provide personalized care that feels familiar and stress-free. In your home, I make sure your pet stays on their usual schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and medications. I keep their environment clean, cozy, and calm, and I always respect your space and preferences. I provide lots of love, attention, and updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands.

“Tessa was great with our boys while we were away. She communicated everything really well with us and sent us daily update pictures. Will definitely be using her again next time we are going out of town.”

“Maddi was awesome to have watch our senior pups! She was so thorough and kind and I felt very quickly at ease with our dogs in her care. Would highly recommend anyone considering care for their fur babes to book with her and I personally hope to have her again with our pups the next time we need a sitter!”

“My first time having someone stay in my home with the pups and we couldn’t have chosen better. Sadie came for a few drop ins to meet the dogs and they took to her immediately. Sadie kept in constant communication with me and left the house as she found it. I was happy to see the pictures of very content pups.”

“Sent pictures, followed instructions, my animals and my house have little particulars that she listened to well, too! My house was clean, animals were well taken care of and happy when I got back ❤️ Would recommend Cayla and will use again! Thanks again.”

“Jen was so great with my dachshund Cooper and 2 cats. She sent updates each day and took great care of our home while we were gone on vacation for 6 days. Our Cooper is slow to warm up but was snuggling here by the end of day 1. He even ran to say bye as she was leaving when we got home. We will definitely use her in the future to pet and house sit. Our vacay was worry free because we knew our babies were in good hands.”

“Stellar! Sydney took very great care of my two dogs, including the diabetes dog/shots on while staying in my home while I was away! She communicated with me daily-even sent cute pics! House was just the way I left it! Great communication! Very capable young woman! Definitely booking her again, and gives me a lot more freedom knowing that I can trust someone with my pets!”

About: I love dogs of all shapes and sizes! I have been dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors for the past 10 years now and it’s by far my favorite job I’ve had yet. I’ve recently moved to Pittsburgh and looking for new furry friends to love and take care of! I’m currently in school at CCAC part time taking away my Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Also working at Urban Outfitters as a part time associate taking away 8 hours of my weekends. Other than that whenever you need me, I’ll be watching and playing with your furry animal/s! Right now with the apartment complex I’m living in they don’t allow pets. So I can travel to your house to watch your pets and stay in your home!

About: I grew up in a house of 3 or more medium/ large dogs ranging from a brittany spaniel to a greyhound and later a Jack Russell. As a teen was the go to dog sitter when my parents had to go on business trips, making sure I let them out, and fed them in their separate areas. I have house sat for 3 cats and dog. I have experience walking dogs as well as feeding them their appropriate diets. I would be happy to play with your pet and make them feel loved while you're away. More recently I have been the go to sitter for my friends sweet senior pup and his wild puppy sibling, where I worked on leash walking and teaching her how to sit. Depending on the pet and their needs I can be available whenever works for them! I will work around my schedule to make sure they are getting the time and attention they need! I care for pets like they're my own, which means taking care of them as specified. At the end of the day, I want your pet to be safe and happy!

About: Hi, I am Mamie (I have gone by Mamie since birth but am technically named Mary) and I have had dogs, cats, and many smaller critters throughout my life, and my own pets for over 25 years. My mother was a vet tech and I grew up rescuing many animals, and continued that tradition into adulthood, so I have ample experience in a multitude of pet types and situations I work as a housekeeper around the Pittsburgh area from about 7am-3pm mon-thursday, so will not be available in the home or for potty breaks during those hours. The absolute longest I would leave a pet during a house-sitting is 8 hours on those days. All other outings/errands would be less than four hours, tops, but usually only about an hour. I am comfortable with more or less any pet, from rodents to lizards and I am not squirmish about even the creepy crawlies and slithery noodles. I can and have given almost every kind of medication there is, including subcutaneous injections, and am comfortable doing so with care and compassion and confidence. I am just starting out with professional pet sitting on Rover, I did it years ago in Seattle as a side gig on my own with Craigslist posts, and have had a couple gigs on here so far. I am clean, responsible, and trustworthy. I will only take jobs with a meet and greet beforehand, and you can get a feel for my vibe and professionalism at that time, but I am sure you will like me and feel comfortable having me in your home. As a housekeeper I am used to going into strangers homes and having a high level of integrity and care for their space and belongings. I also am very clean and fastidious. I keep things looking like I wasn't there as much as possible, and will clean litter boxes daily and change water bowls daily and do deep cleans of water fountains 1x a week. I work as a housekeeper from 7am-3pm mon-thursday around the greater Pittsburgh area. If you have multiple dogs who need round the clock supervision and you book me at least three weeks before the sitting start date, than we could work that out and I could block out my housekeeping schedule for that time and just be available for the sitting job (my rates will be increased in this situation as I am priced for my current availability, not constant care and being unable to make my normal wages during the sit). I don't do sitting in my own home since I have two cats and a husband and no fenced in yard. In clients homes I am respectful, clean, tidy, responsible and trustworthy. I mind my business and am not judgemental. I will spend lots of time loving and socializing your pets, and I set alarms and try to keep potty breaks frequent to avoid accidents and less stress.

About: I've had cats and dogs all my life. I grew up with 3 dogs, and once I was in college I had two Rottweilers that have since passed onto the rainbow bridge. They were my pride and joy - our favourite thing to do together was camp! Looking to fill the pet void by helping some fellow yinzers out. I take the upmost pride in keeping your animal safe and at ease. I won't take your precious fur baby anywhere unfamiliar, especially when first getting to know each other. I also will treat your animal as if they were mine. I am teacher who is on summer break and looking for a career change. I am available all days, anytime until I find my next gig. Once I have another full time job, I will update availability. I do not offer care in my own home (Husband is allergic). I have a kind demeanour and have always loved animals. Kindness leads all of my actions. I promise to keep your fur babies in good care.

“Theresa is absolutely wonderful. I am a first time puppy mom and was a little worried to leave her alone but once I met Theresa, my worries melted away! You can tell right away that she loves animals and is so sweet, patient and gentle. She sent photos and videos throughout her visit, which I appreciated so much! I’m so relieved to have found her. If you need a sitter look no further! ♥️”

Mary S.
“I'm delighted to recommend Mary S. as a pet sitter on Rover. Having watched her grow up caring for our multiple cats and dog, plus numerous foster animals, I can confidently say she has a natural gift with animals. Mary genuinely "speaks cat" - she understands their unique personalities and body language, treating each one as an individual. She's particularly attuned to pets experiencing anxiety or depression, knowing exactly how to comfort them and meet them where they're at. What sets Mary apart is her medical knowledge and experience. Growing up in a veterinary household, she learned to administer subcutaneous fluids, manage diabetic pets with insulin injections, and recognize when a pet needs professional care. She combines this technical expertise with genuine warmth - during playtime, she gets down on their level and makes every pet feel special. Dogs adore her just as much as cats do. She's safety-conscious, responsible, and has that rare quality of making animals feel instantly comfortable. Mary is completely reliable - she won't skip anything in your pet's routine - and she's great about keeping owners updated with pictures and messages so you'll never have to wonder how your pet is doing. Whether your pet needs specialized medical care or just lots of love and attention, Mary will treat them like family. She's exactly the kind of person I'd trust with my own pets. Eileen A. M.S. “I have 3 rambunctious but very loving dogs who have a strong need for attention. My oldest, Max, is a 14yr old senior dog who needs extra love and care. Olivia was not only very professional from the start, but she was gentle and attentive to their needs. My doggos loved her positive energy!! I can’t recommend her services enough.”
