“Christy has watched Peach throughout her entire life; sometimes it was a weekly basis, a few times she watched her at a last minute Emergency notice, and had even boarded her over a long weekend. Peach isn't a big fan of humans but loves going to Christy's, getting to visit with her friends. Peach loves her dog Louie and playing with the other pups that she takes care of. I enjoy the photo updates, I am happy that Peach feels safe and I feel comforted while she is in Christy's care, and that Christy allows the dogs on the furniture-Peach even got to sleep in bed when she stayed. About: I don’t have much experience with dogs if I’m being honest. The only experience I had with a dog was with a baby pitbull and that was for about a year. That being said, despite my lack of experience I am willing to learn. My love for animals in general is why I am open to learning. I will still provide the same love, care and affection for a dog as I would a cat. My daily and weekly routine is very open for pet care. I am currently on maternity leave so I have lots of availability throughout my days. I treat them like their family and not strangers or “just for the money type of thing”. About: I’ve taken care of small animals since I was a kid. I was always the student who volunteered to take the class pet home for extended breaks from school. Some of the animals I cared for included leopard geckos, hamsters, and Guinea pigs! I have loved animals ever since 😊 Besides class pets, I grew up babysitting my Aunt’s dog, Oscar, whenever she went on vacation or needed some extra help. She was flexible with drop off, and walked the dog a couple of times in a few hours, which was just what the dog needed after 8 hours in the car. She also took the dog to the local dog park without issue. $72 was a little pricey for 4 hours of daycare, and we didn't get pictures like we expected (I see some were taken, so maybe it was an app issue), but all in all it was basically just what we needed and we're grateful!”
About: I’m back!! I pet sat when I lived in Orlando and then took a break. I am now in Pittsburgh and ready to welcome some new friends. I work from home full-time, in a single-family home with a fenced in yard. About: Hi, I am Mamie (I have gone by Mamie since birth but am technically named Mary) and I am a lifelong pet person, and professional sitter. I am relatively new to Rover specifically, but am in my 40's and have cared for other people's pets for over 15 years, both here in Pittsburgh and in Seattle where I am originally from. I am fully privately insured for pet sitting and dog walking and carry broadened property damage coverage, animal bailee coverage and veterinary reimbursement coverage. I do two check ins a day with lots of pictures, and am a quick responder to messages (my average response time is 6 min). My most consistent feedback is that i am very communicative and professional, and that owners feel secure and never worry about their pets well-being when they are with me! My mother was a vet tech and I grew up rescuing many animals, and continued that tradition into adulthood, so I have ample experience in a multitude of pet types and situations I work as a housekeeper around the Pittsburgh area from about 7am-3pm mon-thursday, so will not be available in the home or for potty breaks during those hours. The absolute longest I would leave a pet during a house-sitting is 8 hours on those days, but quite often it's only 4-6 hours that i am working. All other outings/errands would be less than four hours, tops, but usually only about an hour. I am comfortable with more or less any pet, from rodents to lizards and I am not squirmish about even the creepy crawlies and slithery noodles. I can and have given almost every kind of medication there is, including subcutaneous injections, and am comfortable doing so with care and compassion and confidence. I am clean, responsible, and trustworthy. I will only take jobs with a meet and greet beforehand, and you can get a feel for my vibe and professionalism at that time, but I am sure you will like me and feel comfortable having me in your home. As a housekeeper I am used to going into strangers homes and having a high level of integrity and care for their space and belongings. I also am very clean and fastidious. I keep things looking like I wasn't there as much as possible, and will clean litter boxes daily and change water bowls daily and do deep cleans of water fountains 1x a week. I work as a housekeeper from 7am-3pm mon-thursday around the greater Pittsburgh area. If you have multiple dogs who need round the clock supervision and you book me at least three weeks before the sitting start date, than we could work that out and I could block out my housekeeping schedule for that time and just be available for the sitting job (my rates will be increased in this situation as I am priced for my current availability, not constant care and being unable to make my normal wages during the sit). In clients homes I am respectful, clean, tidy, responsible and trustworthy. I mind my business and am not judgemental. I will spend lots of time loving and socializing your pets, and I set alarms and try to keep potty breaks frequent to avoid accidents and less stress.

Between over 20 years of pet ownership experience and having worked as a veterinary technician for 9 years, I understand that pets are family and deserve attentive, compassionate care when their owners are away. My family consists of a menagerie of animals, giving me hands-on experience with a wide variety of species and their unique care needs. Our family currently includes an older dog with medication requirements, two ferrets, several bearded dragons, and a crested gecko. Whether your pet needs medication administration, enrichment, feeding, or simply lots of love and attention, I understand the importance of following routines and providing dependable care. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pets behind, and my goal is to give you peace of mind knowing they are safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and pride myself on being reliable, trustworthy, and responsive. I currently have a very flexible schedule while I am studying for the Pennsylvania Bar Exam, which allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care routines and visit times. In my own home, I care for and feed our pets daily, typically in the morning or afternoon, so I am accustomed to maintaining consistent schedules and following specific care instructions. Whether your pet needs early morning visits, afternoon check-ins, evening care, medication administration, or a customized routine, I am happy to work with you to meet your pet's individual needs and your preferred schedule. My goal is to provide dependable, personalized care that fits seamlessly into your pet's daily routine. I cannot bring furry animals to our home as I have an older, reactive dog. If you give me instructions, I will make sure I meet their needs because every pet is different.
“It was our first time using Rover and Lindsey was an excellent companion and dog walker for our pit bull mix! Her report after each visit was thorough and usually included an extra anecdote about their time together and great pictures! Lindsey very concerned and asked for our advice when our dog wasn't eating much food when we initially left. We appreciated her initiative. When there was a big rain storm and they couldn't walk outside, Lindsey spent the time playing with our dog inside and gave him the attention and exercise that he needed. About: I live on an acre of land with more than half of it being yard With more than half of it being Space. I am able to create a bond with animals by giving them affection, attention, and treats. For walking appointments, my schedule is flexible between 10 AM and 7 PM But I’m also available to to offer overnight boarding care and check-in. I like to keep them active, playing, and happy so they could have the best experience I have to offer. I also like to keep the clients informed,and send them pictures. I like to make sure your pet is in my sight so I could keep them safe.

About: I have experience working with many types of animals, including reptiles, cats, dogs, small mammals, amphibians, and birds. I’ve also had the opportunity to care for and live with many of these animals, which has given me a strong understanding of their needs and behaviors. I’m currently a college student and work part-time during the weekdays, so weekends would be the best time for me to provide pet sitting. I’m happy to offer reliable and attentive care for your pets during that time. I always make pet safety and comfort my top priorities. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I make sure they have a clean, secure, and stress-free environment. I carefully follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, give plenty of exercise and playtime, and make sure they receive lots of attention and affection. About: I don’t have much experience with dogs if I’m being honest. The only experience I had with a dog was with a baby pitbull and that was for about a year. That being said, despite my lack of experience I am willing to learn. My love for animals in general is why I am open to learning. I will still provide the same love, care and affection for a dog as I would a cat. My daily and weekly routine is very open for pet care. I am currently on maternity leave so I have lots of availability throughout my days. I treat them like their family and not strangers or “just for the money type of thing”. If the client has special requests as far as how they would want their pet taken care of, I would follow those requests and update the clients along the way.
About: I have always been an animal person. I love all animals but dogs are my favorite domestic animal. We have had dogs and kept dogs in our family since I was 4 years old. I've worked at a vet hospital and with doggy daycares. I am not intimidated by dogs who are a little uncertain or shy at first and I truly believe that dogs pick up on my doggy loving vibe. I have two girls 5 and 10, who both love dogs like I do, they are at school during the day (camp in the summer) but the are very knowledgable when it comes to the proper way to handle dogs/puppies and when to back off from a dog that might be scared or uncomfortable. They have been plenty of dogs-all sizes, I included a few pictures of them in my profile as well. I also have a 2 year old Shih Tzu named Fancy, she is adorable and great with other dogs, we like to go for long walks during the day. We can't wait to meet and make new furry friends.
