“I want to just thank these two. Followed instructions exactly as stated, gave frequent updates, and provided us with so many pictures and videos. Suki had so so so much fun with Nala and Thena and even got exposure to kittens that were being fostered in their home. I will definitely be a returning client.”

“Your pets will seriously get the best of care with Taylor and Brian. They both love all pets to bits, and are great at feeding schedules, medicine, and special needs. I don’t think I can recommend them highly enough. I always entrust both my dogs and cats to their care, and have had successful drop ins and boarding.”

“Jennifer was amazing with Buddy, this is the first time I sent my boy to a dog sitter and was completely nervous about it. Jennifer understood this and made an extra effort to update me on how he was doing. Jennifer was also amazing on being flexible with time and working with how both buddy and I were getting on during this time.”

“Kyle was fantastic! He provided updates and pictures everyday and my dog, copper was well taken care of. Appreciate the attention and care provided! If I’m ever back through the area again, I will be sure to reach out to Kyle! Thank you!”

“This was the first time ever leaving our Riley with anybody other than family. We were very nervous, but Kimberly eased our anxiety right away with her gentle and inviting nature toward us and Riley. She took great care of him and kept us updated with many pictures and videos. It allowed us to enjoy our trip even more knowing that he was in good hands.”

“This was my first time using the app and first time having my dog board at someone elses house. Cristin was amazing with communication and sending photos and updates about my dog. This was the first best experience my dog and I had. She is the best person to book if your ever looking for someone to care for your baby. She gives all the attention in the world to them and treats them like a princess. I am so happy my dog felt safe and comfortable he normally always nervouse but cristin made him feel welcomed and loved which made him open up.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life—growing up with several dogs and caring for cats for as long as I can remember. This lifelong experience has taught me how to recognize different pet personalities and meet their unique needs, whether that means playful energy for younger pets or calm patience for older companions. I’m comfortable with daily routines, administering lots of love and attention, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for while their people are away. I’m currently in grad school and interning part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets. Spending time with fur babies is honestly the best break from schoolwork—it helps me recharge and brings so much joy to my day. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just keeping pets company, I love making pet care part of my weekly routine. In a client’s home, I follow your pet’s routine closely—whether that’s feeding, playtime, walks, or cuddles—so they feel safe and comfortable in their own space. I always keep things tidy, refresh water bowls, and make sure litter boxes or potty breaks are taken care of. When pets are in my home, they’re treated like family. I make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and play, along with a cozy place to rest. I keep the environment safe and pet-friendly, and I’m happy to accommodate any special instructions to make sure your furry friend feels right at home.
About: I’ve had pets since I was very young and have been caring for my own four cats for a few years. I also have experience with dogs and have had my own while growing up. While I don’t currently have one, since I knew I would be moving over the next few years, I would love to bring my experience and affection into your home for your furry companions. The dog pictured is my Mom’s. He loves when I visit and is always down for cuddles and a walk I would love the opportunity to spend time with your pet making sure they’re loved, fed, and groomed during any absence or as a helping hand. I work sparingly at this time and can devote myself to providing for your routine. I’m responsible and flexible, making sure your pets needs are met during routine visits. I want nothing more than for my clients to know their fur babies are cared for and regularly checked on.
“Thank you so much for caring for Nipsey! I appreciate the updates, photos and report card! Excellent sitter even accommodated my last minute booking . He will be back! Thank you for the gift basket”

About: I have cared for animals my entire life, because I grew surrounded by them. My goal is to work with any type of animal. Currently I’m studying to become a veterinarian, having this opportunity helps me get more experience and become better at it. Besides my personal life, I’ve taken courses in college to understand better animal behavior and learn more about it! I’ll always do my best to keep your loved ones safe and happy! I’m currently studying in College, but I have plenty of time after 2pm during Monday to Thursday. During Friday and Weekends I’m free and always available for any services! I live in a house that has plenty of space and is fenced. I also have a really friendly dog that loves to play around animals. If your fur baby is more comfortable inside the house, we have plenty of space inside where they can run and play!
“Bingo had a great time! Margarita sent us pictures throughout his stay, which made my kids so happy. Our baby Bingo was clearly well loved and well taken care of. We’re so grateful for the care and updates and would absolutely recommend Margarita to anyone looking for someone to watch their fur baby! ❤️”

“Gianna cares deeply about animals. She went above and beyond to care for my dog while also respecting my boundaries and desires as an owner. She was great with communication and her home was a happy place for my dog to stay for a 2 week long boarding. Such a sweet family and any pet would be lucky to experience their love!!!”

“Stephanie and her family took exceptionally good care of my 19 month old goldendoodle. I hope they will let him stay again. Thank you for everything! Love Noa and Anthony.”

“My husband and I decided to last minute go out of town for the night. We contacted Sandra and she immediately responded that she would love to have the dogs. We dropped both of our labs off at their house a few hours later and they were very welcoming and their 2 kids seemed so excited to have the dogs for the night. When we picked them up the next day, both dogs seemed happy and that they got a ton of exercise! Would definitely book again :)”
“I’m so happy with the service Mary provided while watching my dog, Daisy. She made me feel so at ease with the amount of pictures and text messages she provided me to ensure Daisy was doing well. Each picture Daisy looked happy! Mary has a personality that is calm, gentle, warming and everything I would want for someone who is watching my dog. She went above and beyond! I definitely recommend her!!!!”

“Alyssa and her family were absolutely the best. My little Shih Tzu gets kind of shy and nervous but he warmed up so fast. I was sent update photos and I could tell my dog felt at home. If I’m being honest, he seemed not as excited when I showed up. Definitely recommend and will use this family again. Thank you isn’t enough!”

“Jennifer was great with our girl and sent plenty of updates and got her out and about even with the holiday weekend. Her last minute availability and convenient location came in clutch! Thank you again Jennifer!”

96% of sitters in The Grove can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your The Grove.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
