“Amy Leigh was amazing with our cat Jasper! He really loved her company while we were away. He's a tough case when he needs to take medicine, and she did great. Amy Leigh also was willing to water the garden and take the trash out, which is so appreciated! Definitely will book with her again.”

“Lora did a great job!!! She was on-time and very consistent. Our dog Willie became comfortable with Lora and that made us so comfortable and happy. We will absolutely ask Lora again to assist us while we are away. Thank you Lora so much for working with us and giving Willie what he needed most, love and attention. 😊”

“Sahvanna was an amazing dog sitter! I was in town for work for a few months and needed someone to let my dog out for potty breaks. She was quick to respond, professional, followed all of my instructions, and was flexible with last-minute schedule changes. I really appreciated the updates and pictures after each visit. I would absolutely trust her with my dog again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“I highly recommend Janneth. She took very good care of my two cats with twice daily visits while I was away on a week long business trip. She came for an initial meet & greet and took the time to learn what needed to be done, including how to operate my two Litter Robots. She is very reliable and very good with animals. My cats loved her! Also, I really appreciated how well she took care of my house and cleaning up any messes the cats made.”

About: I love animals especially dogs. My friends trust me to watch their animals all the time I took in a cat for 3 months and a dog for 4 months until the owners were able to take them back. Providing great services at all means.Need a trustworthy sitter when your away I’m your gal. Need a weekend away I am available. I have two dogs of my own Otis and Jax. Providing all your needs. Willing to give pet baths and provide them with whatever is needed. If they need more than one walk a day or you just want me to check on them I’m more than willing to help in any way possible. Make your life easier and so you can be at ease when not home. Let’s face it our fur babies are more than pets they are our family and we want the best possible care like we do to our children. I’m available every weekend and during the week I am usually not busy after work I am able to care in the evening whenever may be needed. I love animals especially cats and dogs I have a fenced yard and 2 wonderful dogs to keep your fur baby company. Lots of space to run around and have fun. I will also crate if needed I am currently working per diem and have plenty of time on my hands to care for your fur baby. If by any chance I step away from home my son and husband are home all day. My husband works from home and is able to provide his full attention from home and my son is currently on independent study and dedicates his time to provide care for your fur baby. My home is fully gated front yard and back yard. Inside the home I have a pet gate so they are not able to get out of the front door. If your fur baby prefers to be inside that is completely ok and I do allow the fur babies to sleep on the furniture and on my bed.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
