I work locally from ~7:30 to 2:30 but can stop by and do check ups mid-morning if necessary. I’m also happy to help out with overnights.

A typical day
I love staying active with animals and would happy to take dogs on walks or play fetch. I’m excellent at getting cats to do crazy acrobatics with their teaser toys.

Pet care experience
Growing up, my family had pets of various kinds my whole life and I’ve had my own cats since my sixth birthday. I loved animals so much I earned a degree studying wildlife at Humboldt State University. I recently switched to a career as a science teacher, but in another life I was a wildlife biologist. As part of my former day job I trapped and released native squirrels and other small mammals. I studied animal behavior and am very attuned to pets needs.

Amy Leigh was amazing with our cat Jasper! He really loved her company while we were away. He's a tough case when he needs to take medicine, and she did great. Amy Leigh also was willing to water the garden and take the trash out, which is so appreciated! Definitely will book with her again.
Second time using Amy to care for our cat Doug. She is amazing and so attentive.
Amy took great care of our cat! She was extremely attentive and went above and beyond, giving us updates and even bringing in a package while we were away.
