Growing up, my family had pets of various kinds my whole life and I’ve had my own cats since my sixth birthday. I loved animals so much I earned a degree studying wildlife at Humboldt State University. I recently switched to a career as a science teacher, but in another life I was a wildlife biologist. As part of my former day job I trapped and released native squirrels and other small mammals. I studied animal behavior and am very attuned to pets needs.
