Our dog is old, we we're nervous about leaving him. But Arling took notes and showed concern for Poppy. When we got home, everything was in order and Poppy was content. We would definitely recommend Arling to others.

I do have to travel sometimes. I have 2 dogs right now that are small and very friendly. I have a fenced in yard. Working from home makes it easy to travel to take care of dogs!

About: I’ve worked professionally as a horse trainer, wildlife rehabilitator, zookeeper, animal cruelty investigator and farm animal sanctuary manager. As of 2026 I now offer sitting and boarding for dogs and cats in my home or yours. In my home, your dog or cat would have the space exclusively to themselves as there are no other animals or kids in the house. I can also service horse farms including feeding, cleaning and overnight stays. I know how much trust it takes to leave your animals with someone else, and I don't take that lightly. I guarantee that your animals will feel safe and comfortable with me, and you'll rest easy knowing they're in experienced hands. I look forward to working with you! I work mostly from home, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, exercise, outdoor time in my fenced yard, and companionship without long absences. I focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable experience based on each pet’s personality and needs. In my home, dogs have a peaceful environment and access to my fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time. Because I work mostly from home and don’t have other animals right now, I’m able to give them consistent attention, companionship, and a relaxed setting. For cats, I have a private bedroom available for those who may feel uneasy at first or need their own space. The room includes a cat tower, cozy cubbies, and a full bed with soft blankets arranged into comfortable nesting spots. This gives them a quiet place to decompress and adjust at their own pace, while still receiving attentive care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal feeding, exercise, and care routine so things feel familiar and low stress. I’m respectful of both the pet and the home, and I’m attentive to details like energy level, mood, and overall wellbeing. I also provide regular updates so you know your pet is comfortable and doing well.

Shwuyeong does a fantastic job! She came to do a walk through with me personally so I could go everything with her before her the first drop in visit. She’s always on time. My dogs love her. And she sends lots of pictures so I can see my pups while I’m gone!

About: I've taken care of all kinds of animals since I was ten, I even have 5 of my own, so I'm experienced in behaviors, grooming, and administering medications if they're needed. I can do overnight stays and check ins during the day. I can do fill day stay overs, but will need a few days notice to make it work. Im very big on slow introductions and making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable around me. My own dog and cats are rescues so I know how nervous new introductions and new people can make animals.

We were very happy with Heidi’s care of Boyd. I loved getting the daily pic of him. He always looked so happy. She really cares about the animals she take care of, and follows directions to a T. We will definitely be using her again when we go out of town. I have already recommended her to my dad, and will be telling others.

Amanda provided drop in service to our dog twice in one day to let her outside for bathroom breaks. Amanda stayed to play with our dog, sent me some cute pics and texted me with updates. I greatly appreciated her punctuality and extra communication with me. It made me feel better for leaving our dog alone all day long!

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs since my childhood, I’m the first person my friends and family ask to watch their pets. Dogs of all sizes are welcome! About: I've always had a dog since I was little and recently started to volunteer at the lenawee humane society. I've watched over my family's and friends pets while in vacation or out of town as well. I work at a library about 3 days a week and would like to find time for other part time jobs. I kove animals and think that this would be a good time filler for me. I live in the country and have a big yard for dogs to rumn around and play.my yard isn't fenced in but I do have a long lead for them if they would like to stay out for longer. But I do have a crate if your dog is crate trained. I have lots of toys and dog food if needed.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 1,296 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Tecumseh. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Tecumseh stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tecumseh. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
