“I was so nervous to use a perfect stranger to watch my fur babies but Rachael and Logan came for a meet and greet. They instantly made us feel so comfortable. The 1st drop by visit went great and I loved all the pictures of their time together. It was awesome and it was super clear that our babies were having a great time. They are awesome”

“Simply put, Anthony was great. This is my first time using a pet sitter and Anthony took the time to answer all of my questions which really put my mind at ease. My Doberman warmed up to Anthony rather quickly which was evident in the terrifuc reports and photos that Anthony provided after each visit. Thank you, Anthony!”

“Our puppy loves Isabella! She goes above and beyond when visiting Rocky, playing with him, and taking him for a walk. We definitely recommend Isabella and will continue to use her service in the future.”

About: Hi! My name is Kacey, and I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. I’ve worked with energetic puppies, senior dogs, shy dogs, and dogs that need a little extra patience and attention. As a caregiver in my professional life, I’m dependable, responsible, and understand the importance of providing safe, compassionate care. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, companionship, or just someone to stick to their routine while you’re away, I’ll make sure they’re well cared for and treated like family. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll always keep you updated so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. 🐾 I don’t mind shedding! With 3 dogs here full time I’m already vacuuming at least once a day!! I work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for pets throughout the day. My daily routine allows for regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention. When I am away from home, a family member is always there, so pets are never left alone for long periods of time. In my home, pets are treated like family and are given plenty of attention, exercise, and supervision throughout the day. While my yard is not fenced, I have leads available and always prioritize safety during outdoor time. I can follow your pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and potty breaks to help them feel comfortable and at home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their routine and preferences to keep things as consistent and stress-free as possible. I provide plenty of attention, exercise, companionship, and updates so owners can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
“Emalee is amazing!!! I highly recommend her services. Emalee takes care of Scooby every week while I'm at work. Emalee never disappoints. She is amazing with Scooby, at least that's what he told me! Lol. Emalee is always early and her communication skills are fantastic. You will get a response quickly. She is also very very flexible. I couldn't ask for more!”

“Samantha is the best! So greatful she was our sitter. Samantha followed all the instructions I had to take care of my senior (18 yr) cat. Her and Noel became friends after a few days. I would definitely trust Samantha with my pets. She was even nice enough to leave additional lights on knowing we were going to come home late.”

“Sarah was great to my 2 dogs. One dog is very senior, and the other has health conditions. Sarah made sure she understood each dog’s needs, and asked questions when needed. I would highly recommend Sarah, and will be using her services again in the future.”

About: With over 5 years of hands-on dog watching experience, I provide more than supervision I provide stability, attentiveness, and genuine care. Over the years, I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, breeds, temperaments, and ages. From energetic puppies who need structured activity to senior dogs who thrive on a calm, predictable pace, I understand how important it is to adapt to each dog’s individual needs. What truly sets me apart is the balance I bring between structure and affection. Dogs feel most secure when their routine stays consistent, so I make it a priority to maintain their normal schedule as closely as possible. My daily routine typically includes on-time feedings, fresh water refresh, bathroom breaks, and exercise tailored to your dog’s energy level. Whether that means long walks, active play sessions, enrichment activities, or simply relaxed companionship, I adjust based on what your dog needs that day. Beyond the basics, I focus on mental stimulation and emotional well-being. I reinforce positive behaviors, engage in interactive play, and ensure your dog has both active time and calm downtime. I work overnight shifts during the week, and I dedicate my weekends fully to pet care. This allows me to provide focused, unrushed attention from Friday through Sunday. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Symerton. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
