“My dog is often skittish with new people and doesn't let them touch him right away. That usually takes a while. He felt comfortable with Benjamin and let him pet him right away! Benjamin has a lot of experience with different dogs and it shows with his care and patience. I highly recommend!”

“Kristle did an awesome job checking on and walking both my dogs together. Both of them are strong and my younger dog can be a challenge. She communicates well and sent me pictures. She went above and beyond what I asked. I will certainly be asking her to walk my dogs in the future! ”

“Jessica was great, she contacted me about needs and expectations before scouts walk and stopped by for a meet and greet! She really cared for scout on her check in and even made sure she had plenty of water before she left! Will definitely be using Jessica again.”

“Justine was great with our dog, and so easy to work with! She’s friendly, accommodating and responsive. I’ll definitely schedule with her again in the future!”

“Eden is exceptionally reliable, communicative, and kind towards our boys!!! There has been a noticeable difference in our pup’s demeanor (he’s happier, more playful) but also in the way he handles on leash! I couldn’t be happier with Eden and I hope to be able to be her client for a very long time!”

“We loved Greg and miss him. He ALWAYS took great care of Athena and was available if our schedules changed. If we’re ever in Albuquerque again we’ll contact him again”

About: I have been caring for animals since my childhood and have several of my own. I am a veterinary assistant and am comfortable with animals of all ages and sizes, as well as with responsibilities such as administering medication, walks, special diets, etc. I work and go to school part time. I have the most freedom on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, but can also periodically check on your pet on the other days of the week. I can do overnights as well. I will work with your pets needs whether that is specific feeding times, a walking schedule, or other routines that you and your pet typically do.

About: I have a lifetime of hands-on experience with dogs. I've fostered several pups—one of whom I adopted—and truly understand canine behavior, needs, and comfort. Your pet won’t just be watched—they’ll be cared for like family in a safe, loving environment that feels like home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work a part-time remote internship with a flexible schedule. I'm home most of the day, allowing me to provide consistent care, attention, and companionship. Whether it’s regular walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping pets company, I’m available when needed and always prioritize their well-being and comfort. In my home, I provide a calm, pet-friendly environment where animals can feel safe and relaxed. I stick to their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I keep pets supervised, ensure they have plenty of enrichment, and create cozy spaces for rest. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I maintain their familiar surroundings and routines, keep the space clean, and give regular updates to ensure peace of mind. In both cases, I treat every pet like they’re my own—with patience and attentiveness.

“Mowgli loves Melanie! He shows off for her!”

“Very friendly and professional. Luna took to Rose right away.”

About: My father is a veterinarian and I have been a dog parent from puppy to end of life for three different dogs. I've been helping friends and family with their pets as well. I'm active, love to hike and welcome a dog if they are appropriate for the trail. I work from home and have a lovely fenced back yard in a Central Phoenix neighborhood. There are some breeds I am not a good fit for: Pitbulls, German Shephards and any aggresive dog I work from home and easily take play, walk and feeding breaks every 2 hrs. I am charge of my schedule. I care about your pet as if it's my own and do not believe in letting dogs just sit and sleep all day without joy, affection and stimulation. I have a fenced yard and only care for pets in my home. I don't accept more than 1 pet though I can walk more than one pet per day

“Tom was great with my pup! My dog has some anxiety/reactivity to other animals so I’m always apprehensive about having someone else care for him, but Tom has been very receptive to his needs. He has been kind and gentle which is just what my pup needs when first warming up to people.”

“Margaret is hands down the best, most reliable and caring sitter I’ve encountered thus far! Thank you for giving me such a sigh of relief that you’re taking care of Willow just how I would! Fantastic!”

About: I've been taking care of animals since I was a child I am very capable at taking care of animals with love. I've had animals that were old, young, and animals that have had health issues. I feed and brush my cat 2 times a day. Play with him for a couple hours a day. Him and I sit on the roof together and stargaze. I always make sure pets have access to water, food (when needed) and to using the bathroom. I always approach animals with sensitivity, patience, kindness, and fun.

About: For over 14 years, I cared for two deeply loved dogs - Charlie and Indiana - through every stage of their lives, including special diets, medications, and the realities of aging. I’ve handled everything from leash pulling to pet reactivity, separation anxiety to senior care, and understand how unique each animal’s needs can be. Since losing both of them, I’ve felt the pull to keep sharing that care. I know firsthand how important it is to trust the person watching your pet - it brings peace when you’re away. I’ve been that person for family and friends for years, and I’d be honored to be that for you, too. In addition to providing a fun and safe environment, I have two goals when pet sitting: 1. Providing care that feels like home, even when you’re away 2. Becoming your pet’s second favorite person! I work remotely with a relatively flexible schedule. I will be home with your pet the entire workday, making walks, potty breaks and snuggles easy! I can typically cater the rest of my schedule to your pet’s needs as well. They’re the priority when I’m sitting ❤️ I know how important it is to give each pet the unique care they need. Following your care instructions and preferences is my guarantee. No matter your pet’s age, size or needs, they will be safe, snuggled and secure in the way that suits them best.

About: I’ve been looking after pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments since adolescence, and now I have two young cats of my own and regularly look after and train two family working breed dogs. I am patient and will meet your pet where they need—I never take shyness personally and know your fur baby may just need a little patience and gentleness! I’ve worked with a respected local trainer for 5 years on Canine Good Citizen behavior and walking reactive dogs. So, I come with valuable dog training experience, especially for young, rambunctious dogs! (All of my training methods are force-free.) If your pet takes medications, I’m adept at administering multiple forms, including pills and liquid, and I am attentive about health care needs. Whether you have a high energy working breed, a little lap dog, or a mellow senior, I will give them the best care they could have that doesn’t come from yourself. I work full-time remotely as an education publishing editor; I am primarily available for dog walking in the weekday afternoons after 3 PM. I can make some special arrangements for walks before 7 AM on weekdays as well. I am generally available most days of the week for pet sitting, particularly for cats that just need someone to feed, check in on them, and spend time with them once or twice per day (morning, afternoon, or evening). I will never let your pet off leash outside your fenced-in yard or home. Your pet will never be without access to water. I will never leave anything potentially hazardous to your pet (food, chemicals, chords, etc.) within their reach. Your pet will always be supervised when eating anything, including chew toys/bones, and I will never feed your pet something you do not regularly feed them unless you have given me express permission to give them a treat of my own. Your pet will never greet another person’s pet so as not to provoke an incident or medical emergency. If your dog is crate trained, I will return your dog to their crate for their safety when I am leaving them.

“She took great care of my dog. Would gladly book again.”

About: Now serving the greater Albuquerque Area! To all of my Utah clients, I miss your pups 💜 I moved to Albuquerque in September 2023. When I moved to Utah, by myself, in January 2023, I got lonely and craved animal connection, so I began with Rover. It has been such a great thing in my life. I hope to continue my services in New Mexico. I now have 2 pups of my own, but my partner cares for them when I am sitting. I will never bring them to a sit unless prior meeting and permission of the owners. Bloopers and Scub are young, big, lover boys with a lot of energy. They LOVE other dogs. Sophie, my senior pup, had to be put down before I moved to Utah. I cared for her heart and kidney failure for 3 years. I am experienced with senior pups and can handle all the way down to puppies, too. I love cats. I am also a trained bird handler. I have pet sit for my professors and coworkers before, from hunting lab puppies to senior Maltese. Since moving to Utah at the beginning of the year, I have house sat, done drop-ins, and walks. I have house sat for all kinds of pups from labs to yorkies, goldendoodles to bulldogs. I work a very flexible full-time, telework option, job. I can check/walk in morning, lunch, dinner and through the night if needed. Week days and weekends. I have extensive experience giving pets drugs and other heath needs. I can do any form of exercise or travel needed. I will always double check doors are locked and secured.

Ethanee R.Star Sitter
“Ethanee took care of our very finicky 22-year-old cat for 9 days over the holidays. Our cat requires twice daily medication and has special dietary needs. We came home to one very happy, very healthy cat. She provided us daily updates, was meticulous about cleaning the litter box and keeping water cleaned and refilled. As a plus, the house was also spotless!!! Not only is our cat very finicky, we are also very picky about who we trust to care for our fur-baby. We will ask Ethanee to cat sit any time we leave. We cannot thank her enough for the care and attention she showered on our little Reggie.”

Grace T.
“Grace has been carrying for all animals all her life. She was in 4H and FFA all her young life and care for them in all ways. She even volunteered at a raptor rehabilitation center one summer. This past fall she had to make a hard decision to have her beloved dog, Sophie, that she adopted from a human society, knowing she was an old dog with health issues. She would be excellent at this job!”
Sycamore dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jade is wonderful, reliable, and communicative. She sends great pictures and info about what happened on the walk

We’ve been working with Ben for a lot of walks and one several day long pet sit. He’s been awesome. Such cute walk photos, timely, and communicates really well. We’re lucky to have him getting our dogs a little extra love

Alejandro is a kind, responsible and excellent dog walker! He did great with our somewhat-unruly but sweet pitbull. We look forward to working with him again!

There are not enough words to say in appreciation of Amanda. She is professional, canine knowledgeable. Reliable and a veteran. Go Amanda!

Greg is a natural dog whisperer. I was reluctant when I first started using Rover, but I knew that I didn’t want to board my dogs every time I left town. My goal was to find a dog walker with the aspirations of finding a house sitter who could stay with our dogs when we travel. Let’s face it, it’s a total stranger and these are my babies and one of my babies is very particular about strangers. That baby happens to be a 200 pound English Mastiff so it’s hard to find people that want to walk him but also that he trusts. Well, it worked! Greg started walking our Mastiff three times a week prior to housesitting and our dog (s) fell in love with him. It was an easy transition. The housesitting was also a success. 🌈 I’m not going to lie, I gulped at first when I saw how much it would cost for the housesitting. However, when I looked at the cost to board 4️⃣ dogs, have them groomed, pay for the extra playtime bc lets face it, they are in a cage and then multiply it by four-I justified it and put faith in the Universe that it would work out. Greg took care of them as if they were his own. He walked each of them twice a day and played with them. We were able to leave the dogs in their environment, with their routine, their food, I could go on and on. Why Greg is so great: ⏰for starters he’s punctual — always on time. 📱 I love that you can see where they walk and he always takes pictures of the dogs while they’re on their walk and sends them to me. 🐕🐶The dogs love him. I’m going to regret weiting this review bc now he is going to be booked liked crazy, but he deserves the shout out!

Julie is awesome! Reliable and communicative. She makes sure your pups are safe and well take care of. I highly recommend Julie!!

Travis is amazing with dogs! He took great care of our adorable, but sometimes reactive (and very strong) mini-pit, and even helped her behave better on the leash! He is thoughtful, caring, responsible and detail oriented. We look forward to working with Travis again and could not recommend him more highly!

Torrie was awesome with both of pups. One of them is very shy and Torrie was very patient with her. Eventually our dog felt confident with her and enjoyed the company. Torrie made sure to send updates during the stay and took excellent care of them!

Fionna is always on time. My energetic puppy is happy when I get home, and thank goodness well-exercised! I highly recommend Fionna.

Mercedes was amazing with my new shelter puppy. I hired her to walk her for a week during the lunch hour. By the end of the week my puppy was sitting and going into her crate on her own. Mercedes went above and beyond in taking the time to work with her and not just walk her. And my dog loved her too! I will definitely hire Mercedes again.
