Hazel had a blast hanging out with Jax! She came home happy, tired, and well cared for. It was clear she had a wonderful time, and we’d definitely trust Virginia with Hazel again!

As always, Angela saves the day! She messaged me back right away despite me requesting daycare with very short notice. She saved me the stress and trip of dropping them off or picking up. And she took amazing care of our babies while they were with her. She’s the best!

About: Hi there, I am a lifelong animal lover with over 15 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have worked as a veterinary technician for 3 years, so I’m confident handling dogs with medical needs and have plenty of experience administering medications safely! I’m home full-time, which means your pup will get plenty of attention, love, and one-on-one care throughout the day. Whether your dog loves long walks, snuggles on the couch, or just someone to keep them company, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home. I’m comfortable with all schedule types—early mornings, late nights, weekends—and am happy to tailor care to your dog’s specific needs and routine. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member! 🐾 I am a stay at home mom so my schedule is extreamly flexible! I am home most of the day usually aside from the occasional grocery run/ errand and can switch things around for your pets needs! In my home, I have a large back yard (non fenced), dogs are allowed on furniture if that makes them more comfortable, since I am home all day, food and water can be readily available at anytime as well. If I am watching them in your home, it’s whatever your needs may be is what I can do! I am happy to take them on walks, play fetch outside or just chill inside with them!

We appreciate Kelsey so much!!! ! Sorcha and Rabinson were the happiest pups at pick up each day. It was so easy to schedule and we’re so grateful for her acceptance with our short-ish notice for care. The pups had a beautiful yard to play in and loved getting attention and love from Kelsey and family. 100% recommend!!!

We give Roxy 5 stars for her dog daycare. Our Basset Hound Stella needed somewhere to go while we had an appointment that was going to take us away from home for most of the day. We reached out to Roxy and set up a meet and greet. Stella was introduced to one of her current dogs in her care. All went well and then Stella met the other dogs spending the day with her. Roxy has a wonderful way about her with dogs. She is wonderful at ensuring that a new potential client is compatible with her existing clients before she will bring you into her care. The process was extremely professional and detailed. We were fortunate that Stella integrated well into her care. Roxy provided photo updates on how Stella was doing and we couldn't be more thrilled to now have a place for Stella to go when we need to be gone for the day. If you are looking for a doggy day care I would highly recommend you reach out to Roxy.

About: I believe dogs have the best souls on earth. Enjoy hiking, playing in the yard, or simply being in their space. I also enjoy training from puppy to advanced agility. I’ve trained a couple different types of dogs and a bird ranging in ages. Also able to transport locally to homes, vet, and or parks. My late sweet Pepper dog and I were Project Caine certified as a Therpy team, volunteers at island hospital, and Master Agility Champions. We look forward to meeting with other awesome dogs and their owners. I work in the travel industry, so my schedule varies. I usually know a couple weeks in advance. My spouse’s schedule varies too. Sometimes we are available 24/7 We treat Pets as Family in our home.🥰. We live on acreage close to Deception Pass. We have experience with administering 💊 medication to young and older fur babies 🐾

About: Owned and cared for pets, which were mostly dogs & cats (but also snakes, rabbits, a chicken, etc., my entire life . Currently have one neutered male who loves a playmate to chase around the yard. Currently working part-time so I’m fully available to pamper your pets on my days off. Need a daily walk and love furry company. I have a fenced yard and a friendly, active, snuggle dog who likes someone to chase him around the yard. After, he will head to the couch for a snooze. I’m the go-to drop in or sitter for my friends and neighbors when they are out of town. Let me take care of your baby too!

Haden took excellent care with our Banjo, introducing him to her two big friendly dogs. Huge fenced shady acreage to run around in (although Banjo preferred to sit, sniff, listen and contemplate life). He even got to meet a sheep (from safely behind a fence)!

About: I have worked with shelter dogs for about six years and I have had quite a bit of training on dog behavior, handling, and socializing. My past shelter job required me to become SAFER certified in order to do behavior assessments on dogs coming in. I have worked with hundreds of dogs with a wide variety of behavior issues. As the dog care lead for my last shelter I oversaw the care of up to 120 dogs at a time. Part of the dogs care included medicating, I am familiar with many common health issues and medications and am comfortable administering all forms of medications. I have one small dog of my own, a neutered male that likes other dogs. Right now I am only looking for like sized dogs male or female (20 pounds and under) or very calm bigger dogs to babysit. I live on a small dahlia farm - about two acres, unfenced. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and in bed but you can provide their bedding if you think they’d prefer it. While our house is being built we live in a 2 bedroom “mother in law”. It is small so not ideal for active bigger dogs right now. I only sit one dog at a time, unless the dogs come from the same household or they are known friends and okayed by both families. I have a small dahlia farm so I work from home! I have free range chickens and one senior dog. My typical day revolves around taking care of the animals and flowers. Right now our yard isn’t fenced but it’s a summer goal! I take the dogs for a walk in the morning and then out for potty breaks every couple hours after that.

Katrina is a gem - quick responses, and was very easy going and willing to roll with it when I (embarrassingly) forgot my dog's bag of lunch, toys, etc. the first time I brought him over. I don't think he even missed his things, given how well her place is set up for dogs. The big, fenced back yard is a dream!

Cassidy is a warm and friendly dog caregiver. This was our first time using Rover and our first time leaving Daisy with someone else. Cassidy was great about asking questions during our dog's stay. She kept in touch with photos and let us know how things were going. Daisy loved the large fenced back yard and she got plenty of attention! Upon pick up, Daisy seemed happy and relaxed. I would highly recommend Cassidy and would use her again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Swantown commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 213 sitters in Swantown, 91% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
