About: With a combination of over 45 years of hands-on pet care and ownership, we understand how to meet the unique needs of dogs, cats, and other small animals. From daily walks to specific dietary and other needs, we tailor care to match your pet's routine and personality! We're familiar with common training techniques/commands and behavior cues. We always treat your home with respect, ensuring cleanliness , safety, and security while you're away. You'll receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pets are thriving in our care! We do our best to go beyond basic pet sitting and provide a super loving and stress-free environment for your fur babies! We want to make sure your pets feel at home, even when you're away! I’ve incorporated daily and weekly pet care into my routine by setting aside specific times for feeding, grooming, play, and walks. It’s become a natural part of my schedule, and I enjoy the structure it brings to my day. Taking care of my pets is rewarding, and it helps me stay mindful of balancing responsibilities with quality time. I will come back to this. About: I grew up my whole life with dogs, I trained them as I got older, and even participated in dog shows for 4-H in middle/high school. I've cared for and watched my family's and friends' pets for years and have always loved to get to know each furry friend I meet! I'm moving to Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area in August I have a summer job that starts at 10:30 am Tuesdays-Fridays though I am able to take a break during the afternoon to visit your furry friend! I'll return in the evening and be there to spend time for the entire night and until midmorning the following day! My weekends I'll be openly available and I don't have to be at work until 2pm on Mondays! I can take pets for walks, let them outside, I am able to crate if needed, and have a history of giving medications. Let me know what you need, and I will make sure your dog is loved and cared for!

About: Hi! My name is Madison, and I’m an experienced and dependable pet lover with a lifelong passion for caring for animals. I currently have one cat of my own, but I grew up with both big and small dogs, as well as indoor and outdoor cats—so I’m very comfortable around pets of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. While I now work as a server and bartender, I’ve always made time for animals. During college, I volunteered regularly at the local animal shelter, where I walked a wide variety of dogs. That experience taught me a lot about leash and harness handling, and gave me the skills to confidently care for dogs with different energy levels and personalities. Whether you’re looking for someone to walk your pup, check in on your cat, or just give your pets some extra love while you’re away, I’m here to help. Currently I work part time, which does give me more time to help out with your babies! My only “guaranteed” times off are Tuesday afternoons and Sundays, which is when I could be available for recurring bookings. Otherwise, I get my schedule for the next week on Friday afternoons, which means I can book one-times about a week out. Every pet in my care is treated like family - with kindness, attention, and genuine love. Whether I’m on a walk or watching them at home, I follow their routines closely and make sure they feel safe, happy, and understood. I’m big on cuddles, playtime, and keeping their environment clean and calm. I pay attention to each pet’s personality and needs, always making sure they’re comfortable and cared for like they’re my own.

About: I have had a pet throughout my whole life. I went to Veterinary Technician school and have worked with animals since! I also have a bachelors in Animal Science so I have some experience with larger pets as well! I currently do work a full time job, but I am looking to reconnect with animals in any way I can! I provide wonderful care and spend quality time with your pet whether it's a simple potty break or a weekend watch! I spend time with them outside of what I am there for! I do my best to learn the house rules and what the pet knows is ok and what isn't ok to do. Everyone is unique and each pet has their own type of training. I can work with all!

About: I have been the go-to neighborhood dog sitter ever since I was in junior high. Now I live in Iowa City with my husband and field retriever, Oakley, and am ready to continue opening my home to your pets! I have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, personalities, and energy levels. I work from home, so I am here all day for your pet. My typical routine with Oakley includes a lunch time walk and a post work hike at Hickory Hill. I’d love to bring your pup along for these adventures but can also cater to your pups individual needs/preferences and adjust as needed! We have a fenced in yard as well for the pups to run around in. I work full time from home, so I am able to attend to your dog throughout the day as needed. I typically play fetch or tug or something or the sort with my pup in the morning, take her for a walk ~1 mi walk over lunch, and for a 1-2 hour hike after work. I can adjust the level of activity as needed to match what you’re looking for! I have a fenced in yard (standard chain link so not suited for high jumpers) and an active pup for your dog to play with! I am comfortable crating your dog or leaving free roaming, whatever is your preference and your routine!

About: I always had dogs and cats on my house! Currently have 2 great cats! We have a closed backyard for cats and dogs to play with! Anytime of the week works if I am not traveling for work. Cats and dogs are welcome overnight! Most of Weekends works for us and during the week only if I don't travel. Our cats are mainly indoor but they love to be at our back yard that is fully fenced. Same for dogs! Nothing they can be harmed with in our yard and or in house. Also, we do have 2 kids that love animals! Make sure your pet like kids.

About: I grew up on a small farm in Iowa always surrounded by animals - indoor and out. As an adult I've had a shihpoo, yellow lab, and now have two lovable German Shorthair Pointers. Our old man Benson (11) and energetic pup Luna (2) are lovingly referred to as snuggle pigs. And they get ALL the snuggles as would your fur babies in our house. I'm able to care for puppies - seniors and am more than happy to follow any and all instructions to ensure your fur baby is given the top care. I have an odd work schedule as I take 24 hour call shifts where I'm often home. I will only accept sitting requests for times I'm available to provide adequate care to your furbabies! I have a fenced in yard for those staying with us. We have a lovely neighborhood for dog walks and am flexible to provide whatever else might be warranted for your pets stay.

About: I have dog sat all types of dogs biggest being a Great Dane and the smallest a Chihuahua. I am very open to dog sitting any dog! I am currently working full time at the college of dentistry but I get off work at 5 everyday and have weekends and holidays off. I live in an apartment so I wouldn’t be able to board your dogs but I am very respectful of someone’s home and will take great care of your dogs.

About: I have dog sat for friends, family members and coworkers for many years! I have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes. Love them all! I have a fairly flexible job so most days can get away mid day to let out animals. With enough notice I can do overnight stays as well. I would feel most comfortable caring for your pet in a familiar environment to them. That way they are most comfortable and don’t have to adapt to a new person and a new environment simultaneously!

About: I'm a recently graduated librarian looking for a job. In the meantime, I'm flexibly available for all petsitting and house sitting needs. I have been petsitting since I was a kid and I'm comfortable with all kinds of cats and dogs. The best friends I've ever had have been animals and I'd love the opportunity to take care of yours'. I live on the west side of Iowa City but I have a reliable car to get to work. This is moonlighting until I get a job as a librarian but could potentially last longer. My apartment building has a large dog park where we could hang out during the day. I have a middle aged cat named Toby who is shy but gets along well otherwise I was on hiatus for Rover for a long time but now have open availability and would love to care for your dogs and cats I follow safety precautions with every pet. I keep a close eye on them and am careful when walking them. If there are special safety requirements for your pet, I will accommodate them.

About: I’ve always been an animal lover and have grown up surrounded by cats and dogs. Caring for pets has always come naturally to me! I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, bathing, and simply spending time with your sweet friend. I’ve also worked at a dog daycare, which gave me hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. Including pups who are shy, anxious, or need a little extra patience. I’ll do my best to create a calm and comforting environment. I’m happy to stick to their routine, give extra snuggles, or just sit with them quietly if that’s what helps them feel safe. I’ll also send regular photo and text updates so you can see how they’re doing and feel reassured while you’re away. Right now, I work part-time with a very flexible schedule. I currently work in the ICU at the U of Iowa about 24 hours a month and will soon be working an additional 8 hours a week at another hospital. I’ll also be starting nursing school in the fall, but outside of that, I’ll mainly be home and available. Whether you need help with daily care or overnight stays, I’m happy to come to your home to feed, walk, play with, or simply keep your pet company. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities and I’ll always care for them as if they were my own.

About: Growing up on a farm in Iowa I have taken care of dogs, cats and many other animals for as long as I can remember. I have a lot of experience from working for family and neighbors and will keep your pets safe, happy and healthy. I am currently working full time with Colorado Parks and Wildlife but will have most weekends available, as well as some weekdays when working from home. I will also be available for holidays. While at your home, I will keep everything clean and tidy, making sure every job is done well. I am also extremely careful to be sure that your pets are kept safe during all activities.

About: I have been taking care of pets since since I was a little kid.. I will care for your pet with my life and take very good care of them I worked part time so I would be able to watch your pet on the weekdays it's if you contact me in advance and Some weekends if you contact me a month in advance I have a big yard Lots of room for your puppy to run around and have fun. I also have a car so I can transport them if I need to.
