“Lily is amazing! Extremely conscientious, followed all instructions to a T, great communication and sent so many photos. And most importantly, the pups loved her. So happy to have found Lily!”

“Celia went above and beyond doing a few overnight stays taking care of my senior cat. She is a joy to be around and also cooked us a meal for when we got home. Thank you so much, you are appreciated!”

“We are very picky with our pet sitter since our pets need a little bit of more attention than usual. Charlene was fantastic. She sent regular updates and even picked up our cat’s meds at the vet. Our kids ( we call them kids) were happy and looking healthy when we got home. The house was clean and organized, which is great. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking a great sitter. We will definitely book her again.”
“I was very happy with Jessica. She was available right away to meet Cajun. She really seemed like an animal lover as soon as she met cajun...he was very comfortable with her. I was definitely able to trust my precious treasure with her, I got lots of updates and pictures. Her dog was extremely patient and Cajun thought it was great having him around. The house was clean when I returned and my dog was relaxed and happy.”

About: I have 10yrs experience and a ton of love and time for your four legged family member. I am a stay at home mother of three and this is something i am doing for myself as spending time with animals always makes my day a little better (aka: brings back some sanity). I am open minded, prepared, and completely aware that all dogs have their own personalities, issues, and temperaments... i absolutely have all of the patience and love in the world for your crazy hyper puppy, your angry old man, and all that fall in between. I am flexable and here to make your life easier and less stressful as you go off to work, on relaxing vactions, and especially for those last minute family emergencies. Above all, i am here for your four legged friends' happiness and well being... as life happens to you ❤ Thank you for your time. I hope to meet you soon. -Chelsea
About: I have had dogs and puppies many times in the past years so I am familiar with the needs of older dogs and puppies. I enjoy walking and taking walks with your dog. I am retired, living in the foothills of Jackson. I can be available to travel to your home, stay in your guest room, and hang out with your pets, or take your small pet at my home. When dogs and I walk I enjoy getting to know the surrounding area. Many times a neighbor will talk to me when we are on our walks! I am retired. Since I am available to travel to your home and stay there with your pets while I enjoy them and the time spent reading and visiting local attractions. Should you wish to use my home for care, I am home a lot while going out for a couple of hours at a time for my social meetings and such. I appreciate that much of the time I spend will be at your home with your pets. If I go out they will be wherever you leave them when you go to work or play. I always make sure they are safe and that I return in time for walks, their next meal and shared evening and sleep routine time.
About: Since 13, I helped with taking care of 2 Great Danes from puppy to senior. From walks, feeding, and training plus tons of vet visits and zoomies I typically work weekends from 10:30-5pm so i’m free before and after that. During the week, I am student at college and I can come over after! We can figure it out together :) I am a firm believer in never hitting (obviously) dogs or cats and I use positive reinforcement with my cat instead and would implement that into daily routine
“Sarah is just the sweetest thing! So attentive our fur babies loved her! Very communicative and sent pictures often which we love. Can’t wait to have her dog/cat sit again.❤️ we would highly recommend her!”

About: I grew up with beloved household pets, and house sitting and dog walking jobs throughout my schooling. I have done this for cats and dogs alike of all kinds. I'm excited to continue the journey now through this platform and I hope I can be of help to many more in need. As a teacher, I have summers off. There is more time for house and pet sitting during my summers. The rest of the year I would work around my school calendar. I can followed detailed instructions, times for medications, walks, check ins, and feeding. If pet needs to be in a crate, I can proceed with owner preferences.
“Brandie stayed at my house for 4 days with my dog and 3 cats. She left the house in great condition and even watered my plants and brought in my mail. She is a natural with animals. My dog developed a tight connection with her and she did a great job taking care of him even in the very warm weather. She was great with the cats as well; playing with them and tending to their needs. I appreciate that she kept the dog and cats apart as they do not like each other. I highly recommend Brandie for your pet sitting and dog walking needs.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs & cats my entire life and there is no job I would rather do than hangout with them all day. I pride myself on being attentive to the pets I watch as well as being communicative with the owners. I am currently home from college for the summer so I have nothing but free time. Feel free to turn to me for last minute bookings due to my wide open schedule. I love going on walks as a way to get both your pet’s exercise as well as mine. But most importantly I provide attention, safety, and comfortability for pets.
“Dylyn is the best! After meeting with her prior to sitting for my 3 mo old puppy, I was very impressed! When she came for an all day stay, she was early and loved on my dog to get her comfortable. She sent a picture to update me and when I returned at the end of the day, my dog was chill and very happy. I highly recommend Dylyn and will definitely hire her again! Thanks so much Dylyn!”

“Kayla is wonderful! She is a great communicator and asks appropriate questions. She did great caring for our two senior dogs. We are looking forward to our next trip so Kayla can come again!”

About: For the past four years, I have raised and cared for chickens, lambs, and goats for our county fair. My responsibilities included feeding, cleaning pens, changing water, and walking and training each animal one to two times daily. I always made sure to dedicate consistent, quality time to properly train and care for each of my animals. While these are not the specific types of animals I would be caring for in this position, I believe this experience reflects my strong work ethic, responsibility, and ability to care for animals of all sizes and needs. In addition to my fair experience, I have had animals my entire life. Currently, I have three dogs and ten chickens at home, and I am responsible for their daily care, including feeding, cleaning, and overall needs. My oldest dog is 15 years old, and I have been primarily responsible for his care for the past seven years. Most of my experience is with small dogs under 20 pounds, but I have also walked and cared for larger dogs weighing around 100 pounds. Additionally I have been a prominent member of Tokay FFA’s Veterinary science team, on this team I’ve learned dozens of minor medical procedures that I am confident in doing such as administration of various medications via oral, aural, and injections, bandage wrapping and removal, and the concept of safe handling with all kinds of animals. I am well versed in many species of animals, ages, and sizes so I hope to be a good fit for your beloved pets. I am currently on summer break and will be attending college this coming fall, as of right now my schedule is fairly open. T is a few days where my hours may change, but overall I am available at all times of day every day to fit your needs. Times are subject to change and if I ever have a conflict I will be sure to notify you with proper prior notice to ensure your pets are taken care of. If there is fences at your home I will always be sure to lock and close them behind me if your pets are inside, I am also well versed in handling larger dogs/animals so I will not easily be pushed to the side if your pet is prone to doing so. I am confident in my animal handling skills and if your dog needs to be fenced in or crated I am confident I can do so.

“It really means a lot for me to be able to leave my little room-mate and not have to worry about her when I'm traveling. With Jessie at my home, I never worry when I have to travel somewhere as I know my best friend is being very well cared for! And I love getting an update each day - it really sets my mind at ease.”
“Aicha has been so great with our dog. He has had some special needs at times and she is always accommodating and responsive with updates. We have had both last minute done drop requests and in-home stays and she has been awesome to work with. Highly recommend.”

“Leilani took care of our aging dog for a long Saturday. Our dog loves her. She is a great pet sitter and houseguest. She washed dishes for us! I will definitely have her back.❤️👍”

About: I've been housesitting since 2010, mainly cats and dogs. Multi-pet houses don't bother me and I'm good at keeping with your fur kids' schedules. I have and RVT license that is current and have been an RVT for over 10 years. I took a break from housesitting to work at animal hospitals, including a 24-hour critical care hospital in the ICU. Medications and medical treatments are no problem for me. I have an open schedule and am comfortable with either staying at your home for your pet's comfort, or I can visit everyday to make sure they are cared for. I adjust to their wants and needs and stick to their schedule. I'm low stress and understand that sometimes pets just need to warm up to you. As for my personal pets, there's four cats with totally different personalities that run the house (I just live there).

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 843 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sunnybrook. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sunnybrook walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sunnybrook maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sunnybrook choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
