About: I have had and taken care of pets since I was a teen. I have experience with pets who are on special diets, medicine and or extra special care. I work from home and am home all day long. Your pets will have attention and care all day. I do allow pets to sleep on the beds (if that’s ok by the owner) and furniture. I do have caged guinea pigs a cat which is good around large and small dogs and a small chorky (chihuahua/yorky mix) who is fixed and a year old who is also good with other dogs and cats. My pets are up to date on shots. I work from home. I am here all day and other than an occasional trip to the grocery store I’m always home. Pets will be taken out, fed or provided all day attention. I have a 4 bedroom house with a fenced in back yard (not huge but fenced in). I have a dark park across from my house with 24:7 access. I live in a gated pet friendly community. My house has dog toys and safe from anything they can chew up (providing they are in a chewing stage).
“My favorite place to leave my pup! They treat Tank like family and are always so welcoming and accommodating with pick up and drop off times. The BEST of the best!”

“Tressa was amazing. Our pup had his best day ever playing with her animals and kids. Lots of pics of Levi having a blast all day long and he is going to sleep so well tonight after all of the fun.”

“Diana took very good care of my puppy and even provided me picture updates and recommendations for care. I appreciate her acceptance of sitting on short notice. Will continue to book daycares with Diana! ?”

“My wife and I were extremely happy with Tamara. At first we were a bit nervous leaving our dog with someone other than family that he knew but Tamara made us feel very comfortable. She updated us throughout the day and treated our boy as if he was part of her family and we couldn’t have been happier. Definitely recommend using her and we will for sure be using her services again!!”

About: I've been caring for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, which truly brings me immense joy. Whether it's spending quality time with them, delivering litters, administering medicine, or giving baths, I'm well-versed in providing the best care. At home, our fun and lively household includes a 3-year-old female labradoodle mix and two cats who mainly keep to themselves. I'm well-prepared to offer a loving and enriching environment for your fur babies too! I'm currently a stay at home mom with a passion for staying busy and getting outdoors. I love filling my days with activities, and playing with your pups will be a genuine pleasure for me. Whether it's a game of fetch in the yard or a leisurely walk around the neighborhood, I thrive on ensuring pets are happy, active, and well cared for. My flexible schedule means I'm available any time, for as long as needed, to give your furry friends the attention and love they deserve.**We do offer a discount on stays longer than 2 weeks! ** I have a spacious, fenced yard where your pet can play and explore freely. I do have a few kennels available if your doggie prefers to sleep in one or if there are medical or safety reasons for one.

As long as your dog or cat likes chihuahuas (not as a snack) and OK with cats. I am working from home, so your pet will never feel abandoned. We do not have small children. “Joan was wonderful with our dog Bliss. She made sure she took a walk, gave her treats and belly rubs and was in contact with us throughout the entire day. She sent sweet photos that put our minds at ease and helped us to enjoy our day knowing our sweet girl was being cared for.”

About: I have been around animals my entire life and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. In addition to owning pets, I have pet sat for friends and family and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. My family is very pet-friendly, and my children love interacting with pets through playtime and affection while I provide all care and supervision. I am committed to ensuring every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and homeschool my children, which allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. Our family spends most of our time at home, providing pets with plenty of attention and supervision. While my children participate in sports activities on some evenings, pets are never left unattended for extended periods, and I plan my schedule to ensure they receive consistent care, exercise, and affection. My flexible routine allows me to accommodate each pet’s individual needs and maintain their normal schedule as closely as possible. When caring for pets in my home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where they can feel relaxed and at ease. I follow each pet’s regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, potty breaks, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of playtime and affection. Because I work from home and homeschool my children, pets receive frequent attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. My goal is to make every pet feel like part of the family while ensuring they are safe, happy, and well cared for during their stay.
About: Plenty of references with my regular customers that I can share. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I’ve long been the go-to person for family and friends when they need someone they trust to care for their pets. I also volunteer with Dogs Inc., which has given me even more appreciation for understanding dog behavior and providing consistent, thoughtful care. Hi! I’m a lifelong dog mom and recently retired professional who now has the time to focus on something I truly love spending time with animals. Animals have always been part of my life, and caring for them comes very naturally to me. I’m also a volunteer with Dogs Inc., which has given me an even deeper appreciation for dog behavior, patience, and understanding different personalities. I’m physically fit and active, so daily walks, playtime, and keeping up with energetic dogs is something I truly enjoy. I share my home with my dog Roxie, who absolutely loves having visiting dogs around. She’s very friendly and quickly becomes the welcoming committee for any new house guests. Because I’m retired, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time for walks, visits, playtime, and companionship. Whether your dog needs exercise, a midday visit, or a comfortable place to stay, I love making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. I provide a safe, calm, and trusting environment and care for every pet just as I would my own, with plenty of attention, love, and care.
About: My extensive professional training in animal handling and behavior sets me apart. While many sitters enjoy pets as a hobby, I have dedicated my career to their welfare. I am a National Animal Control Officer (Level II), which provides me with advanced training in safe animal handling for both dogs and cats, as well as emergency response protocols. My Special Skills Include: Certified Behavioral Knowledge: I hold a certification from Jackson Galaxy (since 2016), allowing me to manage anxiety and behavioral issues with a fear-free approach. Senior & Medical Care: Through my non-profit rescue work, I am highly skilled in caring for senior animals, including administering varied medications (injections, fluids, pills) and managing mobility issues. Trust & Reliability: I run a professional organization, so you can expect the highest level of communication, punctuality, and attention to detail. My schedule is entirely flexible because pet care is my professional focus. As the founder of a non-profit rescue, I have the autonomy to adjust my daily workload to ensure I am available for early mornings, critical medication times, and unexpected last-minute needs. Reliability is guaranteed. I care for every pet with the rigor of a professional rescuer and the heart of an advocate. Safety First: My background as a National Animal Control Officer (Level II) influences every decision I make. I am trained in risk assessment, meaning I proactively identify hazards (loose screens, toxic plants, escape routes) before they become problems. I am also fully trained in pet CPR and First Aid. Building Trust: Trust is built through consistency. Running a non-profit organization requires impeccable ethics and reliability. Whether in my home or yours, I adhere to strict feeding and medication schedules. A Low-Stress Environment: Using my Jackson Galaxy certification, I prioritize the pet's emotional well-being. I don't force interaction; instead, I use positive reinforcement and body language cues to build a bond. I am experienced in maintaining a sterile, healthy environment, ensuring that food bowls, litter boxes, and living areas are kept to rescue-grade standards of cleanliness.
“Thank you for the last-minute day care. Logan was so exhausted from playing with the other dogs, he laid down for most of the ride home. We'll see you soon for more playtime!”

“Daniel and his wife are the sweetest people. They gave me updates and most importantly were very accommodating very last minute. I would highly recommend them for any daycare services.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
