“I don't even know where to begin with this review because I want to make sure it's perfect! Robert has watched over our cats twice now and let me tell you he's great at what he does. He lets you know their every move with pictures/videos and he even adds in some commentary! He's always gone above and beyond with the cleanliness of our home during his visits when it comes to the litter boxes or their water/ food bowls. We will always recommend Robert for pet sitting in our area.”

“BETHANY WAS AWESOME!!! She was on time and very attentive. She communicated daily with each visit and included pictures. She went above and beyond to care for lacy and our home, she did everything that was asked and then some. She's an awesome sitter and we'd highly recommend her.”

“Always a positive experience with Courtney! We love the attention she gives our cat. She is reliable, trustworthy and provides updates on our boy. She is our trusted Rover sitter!”

About: I have been caring for pets for 30 years. Not only my own pets, but our friends and families pets. I have rescued many dogs and cats over the years and even a bird or two. The pets have been puppies to seniors. I have trained many to use a bell at the door to go outside and go potty. I can do some basic training.. I have kept up with their training, started training for puppies being held for Christmas gifts, etc.I promise to love, care and cuddle your pets as l do mine. I have always been a stay at home mom since adopting my children. Now that they are 20 and 21, I’m just a homebody. I am able to tend to your babies 24/7. In my home, I will separate my pets as people bring in theirs. When the owners leave, I will introduce them one at a time. I can administer their medicine, do some light grooming, take on walks, and my schnauzer says he will let them play with his ball thrower. Oh, and pets will never be fed together.

About: As a proud pet parent to my 2-year-old teacup Yorkie, Hailey, I understand that pets are so much more than animals—they’re family. Caring for Hailey has given me hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, grooming, administering basic care, and recognizing when something just isn’t quite right. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member, and I treat every pet in my care with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, lots of playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm, comforting companion while you’re away, I’m committed to making them feel safe, happy, and loved. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care that gives you complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is in caring hands until you’re back home. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable care throughout the week. About: I’ve had my own 3 dogs for the last 6 years. Before that, I would take care of my friends animals. I often dog sit and cat sit for close friends and family. Figured I would do it on here, too! I have trained all of my dogs, nothing crazy. Just the basics. One of my dogs does have health issues and another has really bad allergies so I definitely know what it’s like to have a certain routine per animal. All my animals needs are different and I’m here to provide that to lessen your stress ☺️ All day, all night!!! I am also able to travel. I drive a lot so I don’t mind if I have to travel a bit. I would love for the pet owners to give me a run down no matter what! Even if your animal is low maintenance. My dogs are high maintenance so I’m also used to that. I just like specific instructions, I feel it makes it easier for everyone involved! Especially if I’m pet sitting in your home. That’s your safe space.
“Lindsey is wonderful! Fiona was comfortable with her instantly. Communication was great. I received updates on arrival as well as how the visit went and photos. We are so glad to have Lindsey as our pet sitter!”

“Brennen is WONDERFUL with our Poppy girl! Poppy adores her and any other visitors that come along!!! I’m so thankful to have someone that not only seems to love and care for our pup but also I can trust to reliably come! Thank you Brennen. With love and thanks, Poppy ♥️ and Jess”

“Super responsive and interactive with my cat! Sent a ton of videos and photos. We even came home to a card and two little snow globes for my kiddos. Can’t recommend more. We will definitely book Jaylin again to care for our pets!”

“Could not be happier with Jacqueline!! Received pictures and videos during each visit and maintained great communication the whole time. I will definitely use her again!!”

“Kirsten is a great pet sitter. We have 5 cats and she fed, provided fresh water, and cleaned out several litter boxes for 4 days for them. I appreciated her willingness to help me with this job. Kirsten sent plenty of pictures and my kitties like her. She did an excellent job.”

I have four dogs of my own who are family, and I provide that same level of attentive, respectful care to your pets while maintaining a safe and calm environment.
“Bradley was so great with our dogs! He took time to meet them, which was important, because Max isn’t good with strangers. He was kind to Apollo, who is old. We will definitely ask him to come again!”

“Mia did an amazing job with lacy. She was punctual and took her time with our Lacy, which we greatly appreciate! She took care of our mail and deliveries. It brings a peace of mind knowing your elderly pet is in good hands when you're away, we highly recommend Mia.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
