“Isabella is really good with dogs. She did a great job! She kept my husband and I updated. Sent pics and texts. Very knowledgeable made me actually enjoy my trip knowing Tyson & Cooper were in good hand. House was in clean when we got home, she went ahead and made sure everything was good. Highly recommend. Thank you!”

About: I’ve spent my entire life around animals ranging from cats and dogs to pigs, cows and chickens. I’ve taken care of animals on many occasions and have always had great feedback and happy owners. I have no age preference on furry friends being that I have worked with all ages, including young potty training animals. I’m currently working part time as a life guard and my hours will vary each week depending on weather. Please reach out to me and I will be more than happy to discuss my availability with you! I am able to provide a wide variety of care for your pet including quality time, play time, baths, walking/exercise and of course feeding. I’m open to other services as well, please feel free to discuss with me!

“We had a great first experience with Zach! He stayed at our home with our two older, somewhat needy girls, and they were immediately comfortable and at ease with him. It’s obvious he’s very experienced and comfortable with dogs. He was timely, did a meet and greet beforehand, and sent us plenty of photos, videos, and updates throughout our time away, which we really appreciated. He was also very respectful of our home and left everything exactly as we had left it. Most importantly, the girls were happy and well cared for when we got home. Zach is genuinely nice, reliable, and someone we felt comfortable trusting with both our dogs and our home. We’ll absolutely use him again!”

“Renee is a gem. I almost don’t want to give her a good review so no one snatches her up! But here I am doing the right thing. Super sweet and clearly loves my dogs who get along great with her. Will definitely be booking with her any time I’m going away!”

“Syd was absolutely wonderful. We’ve had some rocky experiences in the past with pet sitters but Syd put us right at ease. She was truly a magical human and our animals and home were well taken care of. Absolutely recommend for others and will definitely re-book in the future. Thank you Syd!!”

About: I worked at a kennel for a year but I've had dogs all my life. There's never been a year I haven't had a dog. I have three dogs of my own currently so I take care of them almost every day. I also play and cuddle them every day and give them all the love they deserve. I have three dogs of my own currently so I take care of them almost every day. “I recommend Dani to take care of your fur babies, I was very nervous leaving my fur baby and she took such good care of him as if he was her own. We will definitely use her again.”

About: I give personal, one-on-one care. I am not overbooked or rushing between multiple pets. When your dog is with me, they become my priority. I follow your routines carefully, keeping you updated with photos and notes, and create a comfortable environment where they can relax. I’m dependable and genuinely invested in making your dog feel safe and well cared for every single time. I am with my kids most days, so dog sitting fits into our regular home routine. The dogs are part of the household during their stay- they get walks, playtime, and attention throughout the day while kids are at school or busy doing their own activities. I’m always home and focused on making sure every dog feels safe and well cared for. When I’m not with kids I’m am very open to bringing my services to other homes. I care for dogs in my home, where they become part of my daily routine. They get regular walks, playtime, and quiet rest in a comfortable space. I stick closely to their normal schedule so they feel at ease in a new place. You’ll get updates with photos so you never have to wonder how they are doing.
“Paisley was very helpful throughout the entire process. She kept us informed with pictures and other updates of our dogs while we were away. She also brought in mail and left an adorable drawing of our boys to enjoy when we returned home. We will consider using her again in the future.”
“This is a five star human being!!! my travels required me to leave before Dani was to arrive. There was some minor chaos when she arrived being a new venue and canine companion. Because I was traveling by air, I did not get to speak to her until after the fact… when we finally connected, she explained in full detail everything that transpired and that it had been handled and her and Rocky were enjoying a TV program!!! Dani is an extremely responsible, capable friend, friendly assistant! Rocky has already put in a request for her return !!!! Our home was in better organization than when I left!! Extremely awesome experience!!!”

“Ilene was great usual! Not only does she take extra care with our finicky pups, but she is very respectful of our home and always leaves it in perfect condition. Highly recommend her and I will continue to book her!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets for family & friends over the years, and I’m looking to pet-sit/house-sit more often by using Rover! I have experience with dogs and cats. I mostly stay in the home while the owner is away to maintain stability for the pet, while owners are away on trips. I love spending time with animals and snapping funny or cute photos of them to share with their owners while they’re away! I’ll take good care of your fur-baby and show them lots of love! I’m available for walks, feedings, potty breaks and play time for individual days or several days at a time! I work full time M-F but can work remotely from your home and take breaks! I believe that pets are most comfortable when we stick to their schedules, so I do my best to keep to them! I also enjoy texting photos and updates to their owner.
About: Had pets my whole life. I walk all the time and know where to take them and have an SUV with enough room to fit them in. Have 2 children who adore all animals. I have a full time job, Tuesday through Saturday, but I’m usually home around 2-4 pm. I’m available every evening and can stop to let them out during the day because of my job flexibility. I love both ends of the spectrum. I love being active and taking dogs for walk/runs. I also love relaxing and cuddling with them and getting to know what their preferences. Will follow all strict diet rules and keep a very clean house to avoid unwanted eating restrictions.

“Brigitte was the absolute best! I unexpectedly had an out of town trip, and with short notice she was there to treat my fur baby, Chance, as if it was her own. She also kept me informed, made me feel as if my home was safe while away with her house stops, bathed Chance out of the kindness of her heart, and overall was an amazing caretaker for Chance. I will absolutely recommend Brigitte to anyone in need of a dog sitter! Thank you so much Brigitte!”

“In-home pet care for our two older dogs is preferable to boarding and Kristine did a great job looking after our fur babies while we were out of town for a long weekend. Kristine communicated with us on a regular basis and was not hesitant to ask questions. We will definitely consider using Kristine's services again when needed.”

“Andrew cared for my golden retriever, Teddy and 2 cats in my home while I traveled for work. He showed great care and compassion for Teddy during a thunderstorm which makes him very distressed. The house was neat when I returned and he communicated regularly.”

“Serena was so kind and patient with our dogs. On the initial meet, she really took the time to earn the trust of our corgi who is protective and fearful submissive. She was loving to our old dog who has trouble getting around. We received many updates from her and could tell the dogs were very comfortable with her and well cared for. She’s also prompt in communication and very friendly. Would highly recommend Serena to anyone with furry ones!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 598 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Summit Station. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Summit Station walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Summit Station maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Summit Station choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Summit Station. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
