“Diama and Cody have a wonderful yard and home and were very welcoming to my 11-year old dog. I felt totally comfortable leaving her with them, and I know she was well taken care of!”

“Makenzie comes back happy and doesn't appear stressed. Julie appears to genuinely love caring for dogs. I love that she has a backyard with a stream so Makenzie can play in the water. I'm sure Makenzie does too!”
“First overnight for our puppy with Ruby and her family! As with the last time Cusco spent time at Ruby’s home, he got so much love, attention, and playtime. I received many photos and videos while we were away, always making us feel comfortable and giving updates! I know Cusco is already looking forward to going back :) thank you, Ruby!”

About: Hello! Now accepting new clients fall 2026-longer overnight bookings preferred! For 15 years I owned a loving house/pet-sitting and dog walking business and I grew up on a ranch so have been caring for animals my entire life, also a cat lady at heart! I've also helped my sister with her dog training business. All of greater Bend, Portland (West Valley/Mac/Salem) areas inc. coast to Newport accepted! I'd love to hike or take gentle walks/play fetch with your pups (had two of my own for many years) and as a homeowner myself I will leave your home clean and well-cared for. Longer stays preferred! I work remotely so am flexible on location in Northern Oregon. This means I have the ability to do midday or evening walks. I hike almost daily so either active or mellow elderly dogs are OK but I'm also a huge cat lover! I enjoy caring for multiple pets in one home with different needs. I'm extremely cautious yet friendly with the animals I am caring for. I have a gentle nature that works well with nervous animals however I also believe in positive reinforcement for those pets that like to push the boundary. I am in tuned to dog & cat body language, have years of experience caring for other parts of a home long-term, and as a homeowner myself am very responsible.
“Jennifer and her family are the best! I never worry leaving our boy with them. He has so much fun and comes home tired. Jennifer was so flexible this time when we had to drop Cooper off a little early, thank you again!”

“Our dogs had a great time! Nicole was super communicative and sent lots of pictures. Everything was above and beyond - definitely recommend and will definitely keep her in mind for our next trip.”
“Sarah (and her wonderful daughters) went above and beyond caring for our fur babies! Leaving your pets behind is always tough, but Sarah made it completely worry-free. She kept us in the loop the entire time and sent the sweetest photo updates that totally brightened our days. Our dogs absolutely adored her and her family—they looked so incredibly happy, relaxed, and loved in every single picture. It is such a relief to find a sitter who truly treats your pets like their own. Sarah is reliable, communicative, and exceptionally kind. We cannot recommend her highly effects and will definitely be booking her again!”

“Jennifer was great! She was able to watch my girls on short notice and they came home happy and tired. Would definitely bring the girls back or recommend Jenn to any pup owner!”

“We had an amazing experience with Minaa & Jason! Our dog came back so happy, relaxed, and well-cared for. We loved receiving the thoughtful daily texts and photo updates, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend them and will definitely book again!”

“Robert watched my pup for a couple of nights and he did great. He got to play with other dogs, went to the dog park, and got walked. Even better was that he got lots of cuddles. I trust Robert and will be using him again.”

“Delila was amazing, she was very communicative, everyday we received a message and a picture about how our dogs were doing. Also, when we picked our dogs she had given them a bath. Will definitely be leaving my dogs with her again. 100% recommended.”

“Taylor took such amazing care of my puppy Midas! He is a golden retriever puppy and a lot to handle but she did such a great job. She is accommodating, easy going and cares so well for your puppy. Would recommend her to anyone!”

“Amanda and her fur family were amazing. I have a dog with some separation issues and I immediately felt comfortable leaving my pup there while I attended a wedding. She sent pictures of him playing and relaxing at her home and it was such a relief to know Blue was cared for with just as much love as I give him. Her pups are all well-mannered and just as loving. This was a great Rover experience for both of us!”

“Emily and her husband were great. I ended up stuck in Reno due to a fire and them closing I-80 so I texted Emily and explained my situation and Emily was great she had no problems keeping Bo for another day. She sent me pics and videos of Bo having a great time at her house with her dogs. I was afraid Bo wouldnt want to come home with me cuz he was having such a good time. Which wasn't the case Bo was happy to see me when I picked him up, but im sure he is going to miss Emily and her family.”

“We had a last minute family emergency and had to find a place for our corgi the night before our trip. Rachel was quick to confirm her availability and happy to watch our dog. She sent daily photo updates which we loved! Highly recommend, thanks again Rachel!”

“Arwen and her husband are so sweet! Their place is beautiful with lots of space for the dog to play. They took very good care of our dog and we got updates and photos while we were away. We travel often and would love to use their services again!”

95% of sitters in Sucker Flat can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Sucker Flat.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
